Musk ox are beautiful. To see all those rain deer coming towards you is a beautiful site
Interesting to see the Elder telling stories with a plate of leavened wheat bread in front of him.
Good video and thanks for sharing.
What wonderful video. Thank you.
The musk ox 🐂 are amazing!

L💓ve these types of videos, glad it has been made so Entertaining🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏💓💗❣️👍🌅⛵🐢
Fascinating video.
once again it's saber tooth CAT. the smilodon was not a TIGER. it was not even a member of the same cat family as panthero leo (tigers, lions, leopards, jaguars). it's also highly unlikely they even had stripes.
Awww that looks nice
Awww that looks nice.
Only one species of Musk ox survived today.
Nice
Nice video. Just a few corrections. Mammoths and muskox were not the most abundant animals in Sibir during the Pleistocene. The horses and steppe bison were the most frecuent animals. And it is known, now, beyond reasonable dout, that the muskox and most of the other megafauna of the pleistocene were hunted to extinction by the hunters-gatherers, that is humans, of the time
Why would they want to brink those back? So that hoomans can kill them for their tusks?
Don't you think that it could lead to some advances in the understand and application of Genetics that could lead to actually helping humans?
@@RobertJohnson-th2yfNO. I don't agree.
😑 I wish them all the best. Let’s get it done already
Why this Documentary Looks Old 🤔
Are Muskox related to bisons?
fun fact they are more related to sheep and goat than cattle
@@poe_bdur5110 thanks
@Rik rik ok thanks a lot and God Bless You , stay safe
I think the race to breathe new life into a long extinct species is as great as the space race. And the fact that this is Canadian Geographic is telling - they boast some amazing geneticists and analysts!
Yeees?
That's a crazy thing to do!
Don't you think that it could lead to some advances in the understand and application of Genetics that could lead to actually helping humans?
It wasn’t hunting that wiped out the mammoths etc, but I think its possible that the musk ox were over hunted.
Appalling sound quality
why would we want it to do that
Why would someone do that for what purpose they would not be able to sustain there life now there is not enough food source for them now
Don't you think that it could lead to some advances in the understand and application of Genetics that could lead to actually helping humans?
@@RobertJohnson-th2yf
Not sure how well there DNA can match humans maybe could be but I am talking about being THOUSANDS back they would not have enough food source for them
@@auntieruthwarrick2191 they, lived in the arctic steppe, surrounded by grass, theres a place called Pleistocene park thats recreating the mammoths habitat, you should check it out.
@RobertJohnson-th2yf . No, I do not agree.
Beware, this comment section is uninformed.
It would be better if we save those species first which are on the brink of extinction instead of bringing back those which have gone extinct thousands of years ago.
Can't we do both? It's not like if the geneticists stopped trying to bring the mammoth back, that they would then change careers and join Greenpeace or something to try to help endangered species.
Agree
We can do botha
How's about we DON'T try and bring back the mammoth👍
Less human intervention is must for survival of wildlife.
Totally agree!
I disagree. At this point, human involvement is the only thing that will save certain species as their lands and genetic stock are too depleted.
@@Leftatalbuquerque where have you been, are you Alian or Blockhead.
@Angela Lewis absolutely 👍
That is not only a waste of time, money and effort but also just plain stupid to even consider.
Don't you think that it could lead to some advances in the understand and application of Genetics that could lead to actually helping humans?
How do you know its a waste. Even if you say its a stupid idea, if in the end it works thats what matters. Many ideas sound good at first but end up being a complete waste.
Don't be so close minded, broaden your horizons.
I have a better question. Why the fuck would you want to bring back the mammoth?
Don't you think that it could lead to some advances in the understand and application of Genetics that could lead to actually helping humans?
Stop trying to play god
Or What!!! I’ll say what I choose to when I choose to say it!!!
Nah, just being humans

Incredibly irresponsible science & useless at this point in time.
