How is anybody still alive in Australia....
We are tough! No seriously, even though there are many animals that could kill you it's not like they're all laying in wait for some human to come along, in my 58 years I've seen and come across deadly spiders, crocodiles, snakes, irukandji etc and never had a bed incident. The deadliest animal in Australia is the Politician, they will literally suck the life out of you.
Primal instincts run deep over there.
Only a .03 percent chance of dying from snake bite in Australia with antivenin.
It’s not that bad. I’m from the U.S. and have lived here for almost 15 years.
Because of highly developed healthcare and antivenom companies.
Very well presented which made this documentary amazing kept me interested till the very end
Wow! Biotechnology is probably progressing day by day
Proof: Dr.Kelly!
The deadliest animal in Australia is the Politician, they will literally suck the life out of you.
While they steal the milk out of your Tea !! Bloody Barry Crockers, , absolute shockers !!!!!!
My dear, you are extremely brave or extremely crazy 😵💫🥴. Very interesting altho I have to admit I had to close my eyes & just listen at times😝
I've picked up rattlers in the foothillls of San Bernardino where I lived. A little one horse town of Devore, CA. I remember when I was a kid I went for a drink of water or midnight snack in the kitchen. I forget which. I felt a tickle under my feet and saw it was a little yellow scorpion that's common in our area. (We had turantulas too) I think my head hit the roof as a started screaming my head off. Up to that time I'd heard that "A scorpion's sting is worse than a dinasaur's bite." Yeah I know. Anyway, My parents called the local doctor and he told them to just put some ice on it and put me to bed. The sting turned out be be about as bad as a bee sting from that type of scorpion.
Did you know horses had a sense of humor and liked to have fun?
This is my “Death Valley-Furnace Creek Ranch” story.
I'm looking at the scene in a video where the Lone Ranger first rides Silver. When I was a kid me and a friend hitch-hiked to Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley. For a job as a waiter and then later a fry cook. We walked the last 25 miles in the heat of summer. There was a little pond across the street we used to swim and bath in. It was so hot you'd get out of the pond and be bone dry before you walked 10 feet.
“Dry” The heat was dry. You never saw or felt or experienced anything like it.
I have a few stories from this time but the one about the horses is my favorite. Horses like to have fun.
I was walking on the golf course, which they close in the summer, and saw a bunch of horses which were let loose to graze. There were probably about six or eight of them. I walked up and started stroking their noses and patting them. Then got a wild hair to jump on one of them. Well this sucker took off. He was galloping like a horse out of a western......and then stopped dead in his tracks. I went flying. The grass was like a wrestling mat so I didn't get hurt. The horses started gathering around me, (the other horses had galloped alongside us), and I went ahead and jumped on another one. Same thing; the horse took off like a bat out of hell for about a hundred yards and stopped on a dime......and I went flying. I did this with all the horses for about an hour till I got tired and started walking back to my cabin. There were two maids standing there who had seen the whole thing and one of them said, “What are you trying to do? Kill those poor horses?” But the other lady spoke up and said “Mabel, those horses were having just as much fun as he was.” True story.
😂🤣😂🤣😂 When I was a kid I would climb onto any Horse I found in a remote location, but they never did that to me 😂🤣😂
Wow the possibilities and applications could be limitless! Who’d a thunk?🤓🤨🧐
That inland taipan is a beautiful snake.
There is no way I would be picking up scorpions or snakes. I also didn't know that we had tarantulas in Australia, I guess they aren't in Sydney. Those fangs looked super intimidating. Hope you do another series Dr Kelly.
You don't have to pick them up, traps & devices to handle them allows them to be managed...
my aunt lives in Adelaide not sure there's Tarantula's there. But its Australia is in the south, and according to Google there's Tarantula's in the south.🦋🇬🇧
Nature means business and I love nature! Love snakes!!!
looking for scorpions for his collection. I don't think u should take them out off their nature environment
I’m off to Tassie in December….some wildlife trips planned….my third trip to Australia from Europe…..last visit in 2019 saw me with a spider bite to my ankle….was not very well for a few days…..and that was in Melbourne, Fitzroy Gardens….I’ll not wear my flip flops out there again….got me high length boots and pressure bandages to hand…..still maintain crossing a busy road in South Melbourne was way more dangerous than the indigenous flora and fauna….
which music was it ?
And they disarm us, leaving us with NOTHING but Venom to make back yard Bio Weapons...
That was fkn smart wasn't it?
Like the Amazon with Poisoned Arrows from Frog Venom...
We've got Anthrax too, don't worry about that...
Its hard to find the locations on a Public Data Base these days, but the old timers know where the Dirt is with the Spores in it...
And it's weird , as , the king Brown aka Mulga ,is actually a black , snake Psuedechis Australis , it is deadly in the high top 10 , but , it is immune to the venom of all other snakes and hunt reptiles , its the snake other snakes shit about , it's big full grown , gotta love it . RARARA
A lot of good potential here.
Never going to visit Australia... i know that for sure
Good
I like the fact that's she's obviously very intelligent & a beautiful woman yet she doesn't flaunt it in the slightest way and comes across as humble; as well as down to earth. I thought she presented the subject extremely well.
It's the guy from monster bug wars
11:40 Ok, the spider section ends here.
The scientist not wearing gloves is creeping out
Australia 🇦🇺
I felt so uncomfortable when he had the tarantula in his hand
Fearless woman
Well I learned that there are even more creatures than I had previously realized in Australia that want to kill me.
Incredible how many field personnel wear flip flops when wandering through areas infested by deadly creatures that they could easily accidentally step on or near. Just seems like incredibly bad planning, as if they are a petulant teenager trying to impress someone with how brave they are. IMO, it is idiotic!
I own two Tarantula's 🦋🇬🇧
Yeah they're quite amazing, good onya
Сел и паука.Сем и акулу.Волчий зопас встипи.чемже я крут.не магу не понять.
Remembering Steve Irwin 😔
A it’s not all fun in the sun
our snakes and spiders are fantastic and need too be respected
Noor
Am I going insane or does the title say "snakes"? I didn't sign up for creepy crawly, damn bait and switch, lol
you're not insane. I also expect snake but they give me spiders. I also like spiders but then..weird. Probably a typo?
Y'all must not have watched the whole video
Didn't watch it - just looking for a reference to "The Most Venomous Animals are in Australia"
It doesn't say snakes in the title. Venom isn't mutually exclusive in snakes.
Oh for, krist’s sake. It’s a video. It’s not like they are going to crawl out of the screen and “git” you. Grow up!
She has “fuck me” eyes. The spiders are cool though.
They all do when you're stroking it right.😂😂😂
Ah, toxicology, I fucking love you!🥰
I'm sorry she disappeared from tv and social media
U are wrong the most venom snakes live on an island called snake island
👍👍💞🤔🤔🤳🤤
Intro is to long. Get to the fxn point!!
You should start with Toxinology101 if you're in a hurry lol.
Now i Understand why almost the 90% of australian population live on the coast like Sidney or Melbourne 😂
She’s hot !
A plane without engine power and fuel glides safely 109 miles lands safely with no casualty and a plane with 2 engines running crashes in a building killing all who is a idiot plane or the pilot
Its not the same without Steve..
sh's hot
Yes in Australia we have the deadliest creatures but still they come, endless coaches full of identically dressed tourists, all get off the bus and make videos of still buildings then all enter the same gift shop as the driver collects his plain envelope from the owner then they shuffle on the coach, it drives off just as the next one pulls in. Our creatures are not helping 😂😂😂
FYI, spiders are *NOT* "ANIMALS
What are they then?
Insect are animal .. someone needs to read more lol 😂
@@manuelsalcido881 Apparently not according to Lynn 😂 they’ve been animals for as long as I know!
@@mikepitcher2310 I Know right lol
One more fun fact they been here longer then us 🤨😜😎.you got that Lynn lol
What are they? Bacteria?
That's why you dont send a woman to do a mans job!
