It is fine for people to have faith and beliefs (even if they are unfounded) but for so many to give praise to a "God", when there is no concrete proof that such an entity exists, is to diminish the achievements of the human race. Humans don't get everything right, but those who praise "God" for their achievements don't blame "God" for their mistakes. Why not? If some power brings about the good things, then logically, one of two situations follows, either "God" is also responsible for the bad things or there is no "God" because a powerful "God" would not let bad things happen. Literature, technology etc is all created by humans, some people create because they certainly have some kind of faith but the bottom line is that humans are discoverers and creators not a "God". There is no text from any religion where a "God" gives humans a cooking lesson, or a lecture on physics, mathematics, chemistry, or a blue print on how to make a wheel or build a house. Not correct. It is fine for people to have faith and beliefs (even if they are unfounded) but for so many to give praise to a "God", when there is no concrete proof that such an entity exists, is to diminish the achievements of the human race. Humans don't get everything right, but those who praise "God" for their achievements don't blame "God" for their mistakes. Why not? If some power brings about the good things, then logically, one of two situations follows, either "God" is also responsible for the bad things or there is no "God" because a powerful "God" would not let bad things happen. Literature, technology etc is all created by humans, some people create because they certainly have some kind of faith but the bottom line is that humans are discoverers and creators not a "God". There is no text from any religion where a "God" gives humans a cooking lesson, or a lecture on physics, mathematics, chemistry, or a blue print on how to make a wheel or build a house. Religion and the idea of "Gods" are, after all, human creations just like everything else that is not naturally occurring.
