A really well constructed and demonstrated brief lesson on what constitutes a front snap kick (mae geri keage) by someone who has studied & passed through the tough Japanese Instructor Training course. Clearly he is now expressing karate with his own style and flavour. IMHO absolute top shelf stuff.
I don't know how much older than your comment the video is, because the very next day "How to do side kicks" was released. Maybe you'll just need to look around some more?
I presume it is used as a kick to the groin. Where else on the body would this front kick be used? Thanks. Could you direct me to a basic stretching video if you have one. Thanks.
Bill Superfoot Wallace always claimed that the round kick was the easiest kick, and, therefore, should be the first one taught. Seems odd, but I can't argue with the guy.
Why would the first kick to learn be a snap kick?. Then it would make it hard to learn a full-power kick. It took my tight legs three years to get a good turning kick. Then the the snap turning kick to the head and the turning front kick came easily.
Its all about your imitating skill and comprehension of your body, this will determinate how fast you can learn. As a yellow belt as child, i'm learning back now the basis at 38. And it is a easy kick to learn after 50 kicks i got it pretty good. Now how high can i do it is the next chapter.

You can vary the height by lifting the knee.
For stretching videos, try a channel named Okinawa Karate Masters.

Judan kick kaise kiye jata hai
Is this kick useful or deadly?
useful for a quick attack if done properly it could neutralize the opponent for a brief moment so you can either land a punch or run away
It can be deadly if you kick them in the jaw like if you aim high, or you strike the solar plexus (liver)
@@Benny-di7di man my solar plexus is aching right now(it doesn’t)
