2 Days Alone Backpacking The Manistee River Trail

- In this video I switch things up and head out solo backpacking on the famous Manistee River Trail Loop. This is a hike I've been meaning to do for years and it didn't disappoint. Easily some of the best scenery and free campsites in Michigan's LP. I hiked over 18 miles with only the gear in my pack, and found an amazing place to camp for the night. I also couldn't believe how clean and well maintained the trail was. By the end though, my body was beat and I realized I need to get some better gear lol. Really enjoyed this one, hoping to have more like it in the future. Stay tuned for much more to come! Thanks for watching!!

Definitely going to watch this I went out camping at night out there on my scooter. I parked somewhere on the dirt road construction on road couldn't get to parking lot.
Nice trip. Here's something you might want to do before your next trip. TO DO LIST: 1. Buy new sleeping pad. 2. Create camping inventory list, include knife, fork and spoon.

Did this in May… I recommend doing it the other direction… just because there’s not a whole lot of water on the NCT part… amazing hike! Well done!

With a new water filter it’s best to run water through it a few times before drinking..
That’s probably why it had an odd taste. It’s nothing that’s gonna hurt you.. just a fyi ☺️

Try a couple day canoe trip down the Manistee. I do a 60 mile river trip each year. 3 day on the river and 2 nights camping on the river banks.

Man this was an awesome trip. Love the photography. Might want to invest in some trekking poles to help out. Looking forward to your next trip as always safe travels
