That is just his breed. I have a great Pyrenees named Koda too and they bark at every little noise. They are nocturnal also.

@T M yes they are livestock guardian dogs. mainly during the night is when they get serious and stay on alert protecting the home, property, owners, livestock, etc

A lot of people don't realize that Pyrenees are naturally nocturnal. They are "made" to guard sheep/livestock at night. They sleep during the day, its their way. People buy them, and try and fix this, not realizing they are not broken.. Love them Pyrenees,but definitely keep mine outside,in his element.
