I love Kanazawa and there is so much to do and enjoy there, that I would definitely recommend to stay there for a least 2 nights, and not only visit the city on a day trip from Tokyo
For sure! There is quite a bit to do around the area, but wanted to give people an option if they wanted to do a quick visit and see other parts of Japan!
Your video is awesome. I have to say it's just the right amount of information!! It is also not the same old stuff like other UA-cam channels. Keep up the great job!!!
Thanks for the great tips. We are back in Japan in June and have already seen so much, but you still have a secret tip that we didn't know yet! I look forward to seeing more videos!
Thanks Harb for the video about Kanazawa, I tried the gold ice cream and it did not taste of anything!🍦We only got chance to visit the Kenrokuen Gardens but I would say it was worth going to Kanazawa just to see those gardens, they were beautiful.
The sweets look pretty where I wouldn't want to eat it, lol. I know it wasn't mentioned, but I would love to have the giant rainbow cotton candy for how beautiful it is. I seen videos of the cotton candy they have. Has anyone else seen videos of the rainbow cotton candy? It's a masterpiece.
I really love higashi chaya gai loads and have not had so so much sweets/ parfaits and desserts in a day. Oh, you should travel to Noto penisular next, the views are amazing. I was in Ishikawa prefecture for 1.5 weeks in Dec/ Jan this yr :)
Over 3 hours from Toyko and $$$ in ticket prices, bit hard for a day trip. Perhaps doable with a JR pass. Please focus on some more day trips from Toyko, 2 hours each way might be more practical. I'm coming in 8 weeks!!
I think Kanazawa people have an unhealthy obsession with gold leaf but still ... the Maeda clan did a really good job of managing this area .... the people here let swallows nest in the eves of their homes and just place a piece of cardboard under the nest, I really like this ... anyway, (hmmm,... snow crab is yummy but only in season during the Winter ... ) ... I am really surprised you didn't go to Myouryuji ! (^_^)

Oh, you should travel to Noto penisular next, the views are amazing. I was in Ishikawa prefecture for 1.5 weeks in Dec/ Jan this yr :)
I will mark that down for my next trip up there! It sounds like you enjoyed that area better than Tokyo based on how long you were there haha!
Penisular hehe
which restaurant did you get that snow crab dish from
What’s the name of the shop with the gold chopsticks?
Hakuza Hikarigura Store
Kanazawa is a big vibe

Only 2.5 hrs one way and yeah I brought it up with JR Pass in mind. I'll look into more stuff to do thanks!
