Being A touring musician during that era I was blessed to see a queen show from back stage , you could feel Freddie's energy from 100 feet away,, when He entered an arena, the rest of the world stopped revolving,,
That was different was'nt it? Queen is like no other band you've ever heard. They go from genre to genre. from rock to opera, jazz, soul, funk, gospel --Queen has something for everyone -- And I bet you have heard lots of their songs, You just did'nt know it was Queen. ( "Another One Bites the Dust", "We Will Rock You", "We Are the Champions" ) and many more. Great reaction!
When it comes to male rock singers, there was Freddy Mercury, then everyone else. You should most definitely go down the Queen rabbit hole and start it with their performance at Live Aid.
Queen was huge back in the 70's. "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions" ruled. But there was so much more to them than just that anthem: "Keep Yourself Alive," "Killer Queen," "Stone Cold Crazy," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Tie Your Mother Down," "Sheer Heart Attack," "Spread Your Wings," "Fat Bottomed Girls," "Bicycle Race," "Another One Bites the Dust," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" ...
Great reaction... you can’t stop now... One Vision - Live at Wembley 1986 Another One Bites The Dust - Live at Wembley 1986 A Kind Of Magic - Live at Wembley Queen, Live Aid 1985 Somebody To Love - Live in Montreal 1981 You will not regret it 😉 ❤️Freddie❤️
Isn't cool how you can tell a song you know by just the first few notes when there is so many songs written over time. That still blows my mind every time !
Freddie always had the crowd at the palm of his hands..magical as roger said..and so charismatic..best frontman ever..a true a legend..and deacky was so cool here playing the bass riff..welcome to queen journey..enjoy there' s a lot lot more...tnx..
YESSSSS Dive into Queens Catalog! : Somebody to Love Montreal 1981 : White Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975 : love of my life Montreal 1981 : Queen Live Aid
Yes I think Freddie handled this duet very well solo. I was not expecting ‘tis (first time I have heard this live performance) I think Rog came in vocally albeit rather subdued, but a Queen number would not be complete without RMT,s input...amazing “screams”by him is the Icing On The Cake.(is that a song title?)...printing error..’‘tis should read ...this.
Please jump DEEP into the Queen rabbit hole...if it doesn’t change your life, it’ll definitely change your view on talent, charisma, crowd-control...and, if you follow it to Freddie’s end, you’ll learn about grace, bravery, determination, and carrying on in the face of certain death.
Well, all sorts of songs by Queen have been suggested here, and they are all great songs (have you ever heard a Queen song that is not great? :-) ). However some of the songs seem so underrated, neglected, forgotten. Therefore, I will suggest first the studio version (from the album "News of the World"), and then the live version (from the album "Live-Killers") of the song called "Get Down, Make Love". Sooooo different from the majority of Queen songs, blending great rock music and great singing with psychedelic-like sound effects. :-)
Yes! Queen are a band that actually have the catalog to do 2 for 1 videos (which is what I'm goin' to suggest she do movin' forward if she decides to 'go down the Queen rabbit hole.'
80,000 people at Wembley Stadium. You got the first song right, Bohemian Rhapsody, but you also know (if you have ever been in a sports arena), We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions! You also know dozens more, as they have been on TV commercials, movies and sampled by everyone! Yes for the Rabbit Hole! If you take that journey I will happily travel it with you! I highly recommend their 1981 Montreal Concert. It has earth shattering songs like Somebody To Love, Save Me, and Dragon Attack! Great reaction! I really enjoyed it! Thanks!
When it comes to Queen, it's hard to know where to start. For live performances, I know everyone is going to suggest Somebody To Love live at Montreal 1981 and their 20 minute set for the charity concert Live Aid in 1985 and I also highly recommend both of these, but let me add a few more. White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975, Stone Cold Crazy live at The Rainbow 1974, Save Me live at Montreal 1981, Another One Bites The dust (another legendary bassline) live at Wembley 1986 and Love Of My Life also live at Wembley 1986. For Studio Versions, Death On Two Legs, My Melancholy Blues, Millionaire Waltz and Seaside Rendezvous. As you will see, Queen cover quite a few genres, so strap in and enjoy the ride !
Queen has many famous songs but if you want something off the beaten path try The Millonaire Waltz. Then again, they also have many off the beaten path songs.... Have fun exploring them.
THIS, YES THIS, is what you were missing watching the "official video" recordings. There was only one Freddie. All those people singing back his vocal ad libs, and probably every one of the thousands in the audience knew every word of every song!
When you do more Queen, the live performances are usually fantastic with audience participation and better than the studio renditions, although studio videos are still better than any other band, suchas their Bo'Rhapsody video that changed music forever
Can you imagine over 70,0000 people in the palm of your hand that do everything to tell them to without hesitation... Freddie is the greatest front man in Music history..
WOOO! She pulled Queen out now! 🙌🏼💕. Queen, LIVE AIDE Concert... Yes dear, the entire concert. Why? - Because it is one of the very TOP most epic concert performances and musical moments of all time!!! (Queen almost didn’t appear and the band was leary because they were mistreated in the past... (Tomatoes & stuff thrown at them.) Also - this concert had THE TOP bands of that period attending/performing for LIVE AIDE, to include U2 and partial members of Led Zep. The group had no idea what to expect. QUEEN HANDS DOWN STOLE THE SHOW from everyone!!!!!! 🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎
Yes - its a legendary base line. But they have an even more legendary one - Another One Bites The Dust. also a legendary "drum" beat, We Will Rock You (OK. we know its not really drums). You may not be able to name 10 queen songs, but I bet you know 10+ queen songs if you look!
the greatest live performance of all time ( yep we voted on it ) queens live aid set , they wernt invited till the last moment so they wernt on the billing list because it was a few years since they did an album so the organizers thought they werent relevant enough but they came and they delivered , for what was deemed " not a typical queen audience " they stole the show
I've attended many concerts at Madison Square Garden over the years, the queen concert I attended is the only one where I worried about the building collapsing going crazy. No one matches Freddie Mercury's stage presence.
London,England Green Day crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody . Thats THE site. 2017 and playing music for the crowd before the charity concert long after Freddies death. Dont remember how many people in this huge crowd (they tell you) but all voices out there singing the entire song loud enough to drown out the speakers.
Scribe well done great video i an from uk so Queen four time went to this tour twice Mnchester main road and knebworth there last concert they were great never forget it
Live at Hammersmith Oden 12/24/1975, Christmas Eve. It is about 40-45 minutes in length. The theatrics and musicianship is out of this universe. React to it, please. If that is too lengthy for you please react to the studio album Sheer Heart Attack LP and the songs are In Lap of the Gods (Revisited)/ Stone Cold Crazy. Please honey...
Funny fact. The bass player had come up with that nice bass line but a day later forgot it. So it took a couple days before he got it again so they could record it haha.
Saw Queen 12 times 70's-80's- they blew the roof off of places 2-3 hour shows Freddie's voice no1 compares-he had it all songwrittings-voice-showmanship..Frank Sinatra was at the New York show going wild...Every Top performer Loved Queen Perfectinest all 4 of them wrote #1 hits world-wide..if you wanna critique a song go with March of the Black Queen-u'll be amazzzed...then watch Live Aid...then Another 1 bites the dust, hen u'll be hooked as a Queen fan forever...from rock to jazz to oprea-to funk to ballads to elvis..to vaudeville 30'...they did it all from A-to-Z perfectly..also all the other comments from great taste in music-we all can't be wrong-what I left out someone else got it better...lol do more QUEEN...I Like how your style & critique as well-we could tell you were captured and sensed his vocal range and the rest of Queen best musician-songwriters on the planet.
"One Vision" from the same concert or the official video, its a tribute to MLK, if you go with their set at Live Aid", go with the "Mondo de Rock" upload, its the best audio version.
The studio version of this song was a duet with the late, great David Bowie. David Bowie went on to perform this song alongside Annie Lennox at the concert that was a tribute to Freddie, also at Wembley in 1991 which I think you should also react to. David Bowie passed away in 2006 and there was a concert dedicated to him at the BBC Proms that year which I think you should also watch and possibly pick some select cuts to react to (Station To Station and Blackstar would be my choices) Also, going back to Queen, I'd suggest Killer Queen, I Want It All and maybe Radio Gaga, live versions if you can find them, but the music videos will do.
Two big songs by Queen that you often hear at sports events are "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions." So, most people have heard their music somewhere.
I think you remember the Bass - Line ... its also from Vanilla Ice Ice Ice Baby .. But The Original Bass Line is from Queen Bassist John Deacon . Freddie Mercury LEGEND Also Guitarist Brian May and on Drums Roger Taylor- Cool Reaction
The bass tune in the beginning that you probably heard before is the Vanilla Ice cover. Listen to the original that he did with David Bowie... it's a masterpiece (just like Bohemian Rhapsody)... and both Under Pressure and Bohemian are on my karaoke go to list LOL.
Start with BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY...the original studio version with the video with it. Once you hear THAT, you'll realize you're going for a ride for life....with Queen. Freddie Mercury vocals/piano [ RIP] , Brian May, guitarist and backround harmonies, John Deacon , bass....and Roger Taylor, drums and backround vocals. They were....QUEEN. No band was better....ever.
The best live performance for ME is Spread Your Wings off the Queen Live Killers album. Just MY opinion. I would suggest you listen to the studio versions of their songs first. The exception being Spread Your Wings. I think the live version is better than the studio version, which is not the case for most of their music. Their best song, IMO, is It's Late.
Try Queen, Somebody to love, Montreal 1981. Probably their best ever performance. PS thanks to reacting to this one. I love watching people react to his crowd control.
LIVE AID . QUEEN BLEW ALL AND SUNDRY AWAY. I WAS THERE AT THE FRONT. IM NOW 60 AND STILL NO ONE COMES CLOSE LIVE. LIVE AID QUEEN SET IS THE UNDESPUTED BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE IN HISTORY. AND OF ALL TIME. PERIOD.
“The show must go on “ it’s was recorded at the end of Freddie’s life when he was very sick. It still chokes me up .
Being A touring musician during that era I was blessed to see a queen show from back stage , you could feel Freddie's energy from 100 feet away,, when He entered an arena, the rest of the world stopped revolving,,
No one commands an audience like Freddie Mercury!
Audience... Freddies favorite instrument
The one and only Freddie Mercury. Gone, but never forgotten.
Almost 2 billion people world wide in the palm of his hand and I watched live aid on TV when it happened. Freddie is the man.
"Somebody to love" live in Montreal
Definitely need to do this one! Freakin' Epic!
@@williamwolfe4997, Same songs. Give me a break explore some other ones they've got an awesome library that extends back to the first six albums.
Crazy little thing called love, or, its a kind of magic, are good too
The best
I was there that day as a 16 year old, first and best concert. More Queen reactions please
How LUCKY for you!!!
Wow!!!!
That was different was'nt it? Queen is like no other band you've ever heard. They go from genre to genre. from rock to opera, jazz, soul, funk, gospel --Queen has something for everyone -- And I bet you have heard lots of their songs, You just did'nt know it was Queen. ( "Another One Bites the Dust", "We Will Rock You", "We Are the Champions" )
and many more. Great reaction!
You being a musician, you will love queen. They will inspire you. Very melodic. They were ahead of their time
When it comes to male rock singers, there was Freddy Mercury, then everyone else. You should most definitely go down the Queen rabbit hole and start it with their performance at Live Aid.
Oddly, no one has realized , or mentioned that the whole intro and crowd interaction segment is him doing extra warmups for the highs in this song
"Dont Stop Me Now," "Love of my Life," "White Queen" all show Freddie's unequivocal talent
relax ma belle !
You can't go wrong with their live versions... Freddy is an amazing front man
Freddie
He was THE front man. The 🐐
Queen was huge back in the 70's.
So many people and he has every single one of them eating out of the palm of his hand.
Great reaction... you can’t stop now...
One Vision - Live at Wembley 1986
Another One Bites The Dust - Live at Wembley 1986
A Kind Of Magic - Live at Wembley
Queen, Live Aid 1985
Somebody To Love - Live in Montreal 1981
You will not regret it 😉 ❤️Freddie❤️
Great choices-awesome show. Another One Bites the Dust here is super funky. The other two are simply amazing-sound quality off charts
Queen is never disappointing live... ever!
You can't say that about too many musicians.
Freddie had 85.000 ppl interacting and was playing with them... he loved it, they loved it. We all loved it and still love Freddie R.I.P.
Thank you for choosing this version. NO ONE could ever command a croud like Freddie. The world lost a bright light in a dark world when he passed.
I wonder how much great music we missed out on after we lost Freddie I’m just thankful for what we received. Simply the best rock voice of all time
Isn't cool how you can tell a song you know by just the first few notes when there is so many songs written over time. That still blows my mind every time !
Queen is legendary! Somebody To Love live in Montreal 1981 is a must!! :)
I've never seen you clap to a song before. I'm happy you enjoyed it!!! Somebody to Love is another great Queen song.
: Somebody to Love Montreal 1981
: White Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975
: love of my life Montreal 1981
: Queen Live Aid
They were BRILLIANT PRODUCERS/ Freddie was the best Frontman EVER
Original video - Bohemian Rhapsody
React to Sombody To Love live from Montreal 1981.
Freddie could capture the attention of thousands with so much ease it was crazy.
Queen was one of the best live. You can’t really go wrong.
Epic! All those great bands at live aid, but nobody killed it like Queen!
It's not live aid
It would have been so great to have been there in that audience !!! Freddie was just the BEST !!!
In the original version it was Queen and David Bowie as well
Bowie's vocals were in this version.

Epic performance...I was glued to the TV that July day in '85.
Hard to believe it's been 34 years.
R.I.P. Freddie 🙏
Watch the full "Live Aid" performance of Queen to get the full effect of what they did during that event. They are epic....
freddie you are giant by your voice and your presence you are my hero 💗 thank you for this video with your positive comments that do good
You need to do the full Queen Performance at Live Aid.
Yep. Nobody wanted to play after Queen. They slayed that audience!
Live Aid the best performance of any artist!
Best concert of all time
This should be the top comment
yes!
He played the crowd as good as any instrument
Well, all sorts of songs by Queen have been suggested here, and they are all great songs (have you ever heard a Queen song that is not great? :-) ). Two words Bohemian Rapsody, should be the next song you do for Queen. studio version
When it comes to Queen, it's hard to know where to start. Yes, jump into the queen rabbit hole. Live is almost always better.
Loved your reaction & love this performance.
somebody to love - live in montreal, millionaire waltz - studio, bring back that leroy brown, its a hard life
Queen has many famous songs but if you want something off the beaten path try The Millonaire Waltz. Then again, they also have many off the beaten path songs.... Have fun exploring them.
5:01 he is warming up the whole crowd's voice, the same as how he warms himself up before the concert. the crowd is part of it, another instrument.
Somebody to love live at Milton Keynes Bowl 1982.
OhMyGAWWWD, YESSSS!!! That is my FAVORITE (so much much more-so than Montreal). The entire Fire At The Bowl is my favorite concert on DVD
Yes you definitely have to check out Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
I agree. It's probably the best song for new listeners
THIS, YES THIS, is what you were missing watching the "official video" recordings. There was only one Freddie. All those people singing back his vocal ad libs, and probably every one of the thousands in the audience knew every word of every song!
There will never be another Freddie Mercury.
Yes that is a lot of people and Freddie has them all wrapped around his finger! ❤
He used the crowd to warm up his voice and also entertained them , thats genius.
When you do more Queen, the live performances are usually fantastic with audience participation and better than the studio renditions, although studio videos are still better than any other band, suchas their Bo'Rhapsody video that changed music forever

It's not live aid
You know you are special when you can rock a canary yellow leather jacket - Legendary band

The best live band in the history of rock. "live killers".
I've attended many concerts at Madison Square Garden over the years, the queen concert I attended is the only one where I worried about the building collapsing going crazy. No one matches Freddie Mercury's stage presence.
The way the music just builds and BUILDS..... Almost broke my dad's Pioneer. Loved turning it up as the song progressed.
They are the best!!!
There are so many songs they did that you don't realize are queen.
"Don't stop me now"..... A must!!!!!
Officially 85,000 people was there. Unofficially over 100K was there yeah and freddie had them ALL in the palm of his hand
They are the real GOATS
Somebody to love, live in Montreal.

We Will Rock You -- We Are The Champions
Dragon attack - studio version because it features a solo with each instrument (live version doesn’t)
It does at the Milton Keynes performance.
Somebody to Love Live in Montreal.. just brilliant!
Live aid legendary considered his best performance
I am sure will not be first time you say. I didnt know this was their song. Another One Bites the Dust, We are the Champions,We will rock you.
Freddie Mercury you dazzed us and you thrilled us and you left us to soon...
Queen is the truth love these guys
If you jump down the rabbit hole to meet Queen, you're in for a wild ride, welcome to the Queen family.
"One Vision" from the same concert or the official video, its a tribute to MLK, if you go with their set at Live Aid", go with the "Mondo de Rock" upload, its the best audio version.
Me: God, please give us back Freddie
God: I am Freddie
Somebody to love live at milton Keynes bowl 1982
RIP Freddie, hit me hard that day.
Live version of Somebody to Love by Queen please. You'll love that song!!!
Somebody to love. Live at Montreal. The best.

David Bowie passed away in 2006 and there was a concert dedicated to him at the BBC Proms that year which I think you should also watch and possibly pick some select cuts to react to (Station To Station and Blackstar would be my choices)
Also, going back to Queen, I'd suggest Killer Queen, I Want It All and maybe Radio Gaga, live versions if you can find them, but the music videos will do.
love of my life - Queen. the life version. it gives chickenskin
Two big songs by Queen that you often hear at sports events are "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions." So, most people have heard their music somewhere.
Only Freddie could do his vocal warm ups in front of thousands while getting them to join in.
Queen - We Are The Champions
Fun song: "Fat bottomed girls"
Next "We will rock you/we are the champions" must play together. "Another one bites the dust"
White Queen, Hammersmith 1975 ....quite old...but it's so beautifully and talented executed that has no rival imho. @scribeCash
The bass tune in the beginning that you probably heard before is the Vanilla Ice cover. Listen to the original that he did with David Bowie... it's a masterpiece (just like Bohemian Rhapsody)... and both Under Pressure and Bohemian are on my karaoke go to list LOL.
Its sad that neither Freddie nor David Bowie (who did the duet with Freddie in the original studio version) are no longer with us
Start with BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY...the original studio version with the video with it.
PERIOD.
It's not live aid
