I am currently a commercial sign graphic designer.
Thank you!
@ 7:40 Does The HP 115 Printer itself have a built in cutter ... so after its printed the printer cuts it to length , then to the plotter????? Im Interested in buying one of these and i cant find this info anywhere????????????????????
it has a sheet cut function yes. u can have it cut auto or do it manually, will cut my banner material as well ( just for end of print cuts only)
@@DaPrintHouse Ok Great Thanks That Helps Me!
I have another question and it pertains to print quality I know it's not going to be as good as say a canon pro Graf at producing fine art prints but as far as prints go do you think that it would create half decent prints on say canvas ??? ...... and have you had any issues as far as print quality and if so have you been able to fix those issues.... I don't want to bother you too much but being that you have one of these printers I figure you could help me out .. thanks
awesome video! do you know if you can perfcut that exact shape, or is it kiss-cut only?
Good question. I know u can perf cut but not sure perf contour cut is an option on this version of cutter i know u can regular contour cut and straight line perf I will have to find out.
Nice setup bud!!! Get those kids involved they’ll love it. Also get some clear uv protective film on the windows. They help cut heat. Or black the window out the heat will carry to the material.
u have no idea how cool it is in my basement in the summer and perfect in winter its like 67 all year round and i have all vents closed lol. my older son does help but gets busy with sports etc... but he slowly does stuff with me
@@DaPrintHouse my daughter is 16. Any time I’m doing a job. She loves to get in there and help. I bought my vinyl cutter right after she was born. I’m just ready to get into in house printing with latex printers. 6 years ago. My local print shop converted over to latex to my recommendations. And now everything in his shop is latex. I may not have anything. But I research the heck out of everything.
@@NickD511 I am seeing that the latex seems more versatile way to go, less wait time versus eco-solvent or ink jet....for the media anyway....almost pulled the trigger on a roland, but backed out last minute....after seeing a few HP seminars I think that is the way for me moving forward...
@@thecomiccircuit I watched the live webinar today (6/24/21) for Grimco, HP latex and Timothy Mitchell. It was a update on their 700/800 series that they did in February. In a few days you should look and and see when they upload it. They recorded it for future use. I’m all about the 800w. It checks all my boxes. Sense they released them in 2009.
The lower temperatures alone are amazing. Just opened the door to TONS of media printing possibilities
@@NickD511 I looking to do stickers and clear labels...it may be the wrong equipment, but, but again it seems more versatile than say a straight label printer....interior/exterior signage, indoor flooring, wallpaper. it checks a lot of blocks, I think that is why I am drawn to this HP platform at least....
Can I push the limit well that remains to be seen.
Thanks for the helpful video! I’m looking to get the same setup on my basement but I’m worried about moving that thing down the stairs lol. How heavy is the hp latex? Did you guys struggle with getting it down the stairs?
It's pretty heavy, I paid movers to do it they struggled but took their time we just helped a little. It's better without ink and maint box in it because they had to go vertical with it on the side. But no issue otherwise
You will love it
@@DaPrintHouse Thanks! :)
Great video! Been running a Summa DC4sx since 2007. Looking at an HP 115 P/C. Is there a model # for the HP Cutter? I keep seeing it bundled with other cutter brands. Thanks in advance.
Hi, thx for watching,. They call it hp basic cutter I'm not home at the moment but it's a d series I'll look when home
Hi, Which router is needed to connect both printer and cutter? Is that wireless router? Thanks for your help.
i use a switch box connected to a wireless hotspot in my house. any switch will work. mine is a netgear
Great video I have a question I’m gonna start getting into printing here soon I want to know what was the best media you have used decently cost effective for printing stickers
congrats! hands down hp prime air gp gloss, cheap and great results
Fire shop!!
Just checking in again….still happy with the printer cutter combo? Are stickers turning out good and sellable without laminating them? Thanks again gonna buy one soon just nervous about getting the wrong setup.
extremely happy, but perf feature of cutter not the best but works, but def love this setup hands down best budget combo ( not getting paid to say it lol)!
@@DaPrintHouse once again, thanks. I’m thinking in the next month or so I’ll pick one up.
@@purebredcheesehead7898pretty exciting! Wish you luck!
@@DaPrintHouse thank you!
Hola , que programa usas para tu impresora látex ? Gracias desde MEXICO
Thanks for this! I just recently bought this combo myself. Wanted to ask you exactly which products for your printer and cutter you use? Is it gloss white that has comply with air release? Just trying to figure out the best brands that work well with this printer.
Congrats, I print on mostly ho primer air gloss gp / matte and hp banner as well
@@DaPrintHouse Thanks! I'll definitely try those out! I found a air release white gloss through the brand called 'Avery'. Heard some good things about it so hopefully it works well for me.
@@livichoo try the prime air go as well I haven't tried avery
What’s the LEAST or smallest media the printer can take? For example that wasted 6” or so in the front of every print , throw it in the cutter and cut a straight line and cut it off , toss it back in the printer and feed it the opposite way and print? That possible or not? I’m about to pull the trigger on this combo from either grim i or uscutter.
i thought i read 10" but not sure now sorry,
@@DaPrintHouse I know it's under 20" for my 365, but don't know for sure what the minimum is. I give my scraps to a friend trying to make a go of cut vinyl.
@@mancraftgraphics3049 def good usabke size of scraps at that size
Hello . Questions for both. Which it’s the min length need for the front to print ? In the video seems to be you waist a lot in the front. Can be less ? Thanks
Is this from the us cutter bundle? I can see they offer a similar bundle on their site?
Yeap hp cutter combo
Hi, I am planning to expand my business to greeting cards but I am very new to Hp latex. Can you please help suggest what type of rolls to buy for that?
sorry i have not run thick paper
Thanks for the video. We do our decals in house with an old summa thermal printer and have just ordered the 115. How is your network configured? What is the router there? Thanks again, looks like a very well set up shop!
i just setup my wifi router with a dedicated IP for the printer and the cutter run them through a netgear switch, nothing fancy at all. goodluck on your setup!
Hello I have the same latex combo, but i just can't get a decent red color, what you do to get that rich red color?
Few factors, like your design file, rgb, cmyk graphics. Or media and profile used. You can print color charts to as well
Please let me know how I can get a hold of you for a possible printing project.
email me daprinthouse@gmail.com
Can you cut deeper so the backing paper stays and you could sell these as stickers with the backing ready to peel off?
hi, not exactly sure what u mean? do you mean like a perf cut?
@@DaPrintHouse yeah!
GREAT !!!! Can you give me Paid Training ? i'm going to start my new business in California but lit bit confused about how operate printing cut machines
Many good videos out there. I have come a long way from this in a short time. You can as well with goals set
How are you liking the printer? I'm debating between this and the 315
Love it doing everything I needed. The options on 315 for my needs was not worth the $4k_$5k more besides I used the extra money to buy other equipment. Also f I decide to get another I dont need combo I can just get the printer by itself. So ye for me the 115 made more sense. Goodluck!
What about the latex 260 printer, do you know anything about that printer
@@jamstudios100 sorry, i do not.
Great video
Are you still happy with the hp cutter? Waaaaay cheaper than the graphtec.
Absolutely,. I like my smaller graphtec, but so far this has worked how it should for me. Extremely happy.
@@DaPrintHouse thanks for the reply, big help
Are they sun and water proof when it comes off the printer immediately? Wanting to buy one and not a lamintior
Ye hp says up to 3 years no lam. If u have partial sun would do better
@@DaPrintHouse oh wow so if I make stickers for my car and stuff they won’t fade they will actually do better in the sun? Also where do I buy ink and does it last a while us cutter wants $600 for ink it better be big cartridges
@@DaPrintHouse also do they have a free software app to put cut lines around things?
@@GolemMining ye but remember on cars might have less life because of chemicals washing etc. but ink cost pretty normal across the board
@@GolemMining comes with flexi sign and rip for all that, if you buy combo not sure if you buy just printer
Can you perf cut
Ye u see in my later vids I perfcut all the time
Can it cut font 14+ sized letters by chance?
hi, can the cutter cut 14" letters? ye, the minimum sheet size for on the cutter is 10" wide.
@@DaPrintHouse well to be more specific, if I want to cut a sentence out with letters about 3-4 inches tall, could it individually cut all letters to where they can all peel off together and be placed at once? Sorry I’m not sure how to explain this precisely.
Hi,
I know this might sound like stupid question, but im just trying to gather more data before i go ahead and purchase the combo, i would like to ask if i should be worried finding INK, since by my research there is only few sellers that have INK for this printer. And also any advise where i should start looking for ink supplies. It will be much appreciated if you can help out on this.
Thank you
In the US there are ink suppliers everywhere for these
@@DaPrintHouse Thank you so much for your fast response, any recommended suppliers in US ?
Awesome and helpful videos
Thanks again
@@vickt7587 no problem, thanks for watching and like/subscribe! 2 major distributor s are grimco and uscutter
Do you have a link to your business website?
hi currently do not have one, soon i will be opening up one!
Hello, every time that i want to cut with the barcode, it does not find it. Have you ever encounter that issue?
Thanks!
i thought i responded to this. but when i do occasionally have this issue its because the ip on the cutter changed in the router. i would look in my router see what the cutter is connected ip is then update flexi rip with the right ip. hope that helped!
How the machine holding up ?
great!
Is the combo on us cutter for 11k ?
Thanks
@@lvjunkandhauling ye little over $11 and no tax if u have tax certificate plus shipping etc
Hey boss hate to bug you, but do you have a video of the type of plugs you use to plug it in im getting mixed info they are saying I need 2 2phase 240v plugs from all videos it’s showing 2 standard home plugs 3 prong grounded. Could you do a short video on this as there’s nothing out there would take you 20 seconds or I could give you my email to show me? I’m just about to buy this and if it takes 2 2 phase plugs that’s not possible for me.
pat look at the pdf and start at pg 7 may help, this what i gave my electrician h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05717321.pdf
pretty sure single phase
@@DaPrintHouse do you have a physical photo or video tho?
@@phat56pat its not a standard plug, ( basically like your standard washer dryer 220 plugs) i don't have a video, but im looking for a photo of my plugs, i don't want to unplug them or i have to do a complete shutdown and im in middle of prints, ill look for photo on the plugs
@@DaPrintHouse so you can’t plug it in to any standard plug
How much can you print on 750ml?
115 are 400ml 315 and up 775ml
Da Print House how much can you print on 400ml sorry I’m going to buy my first printer either a mutoh or a HP. I was curious how many banners can be printed on 400ml ink
@@alfredoojeda7977 oh that im not sure yet. But it shouldn't be bad thats a good question for Timothy on hp channel
How many problems have you had with your printer. I’ve had mine a 315 for about 18 months. I’ve had multiple issues and HP support is terrible. It’s fast but my Roland is far superior quality.
Sorry to hear, i have had zero issues other then paper curl strikes in beginning. I like roland but i would only have a new one but i need latex for ability to pack right after printing.love it.
