    Why did you choose a HP Latex printer/cutter vs a Roland?

    • @thebigfishdigitalchannel2467
      @thebigfishdigitalchannel2467 3 роки тому +1

      Because he didn't want to wait 24 hours for outgassing, or do daily maintenance, or get banding, or pay super high printhead costs. Or maybe because of the scratch resistance latex gives over other inks.

    I am looking at purchasing one of these for our shop but I am a little iffy on the Ethernet setup which I know you have a video but it doesn’t explain the two Porte HP requires, one for the RIP and a second for the LAN line. Or did I miss a video?

      There is only one Ethernet port. You plug it in like any computer or network printer. As long as you have a basic network, it's plug and play.

    I see these sellers on Amazon all the time selling 200 count 2" vinyl sticker packs for $6.99. Do the math and they're probably getting less than $2 in net profit from amazon. Not even enough to pay for the vinyl. What are these guys printing on that they can make these packs so cheaply?

      I started with the 315 because it has the opos sensors. That helps with the automation of head and media alignment. It also uses larger ink which is less expensive. Hello, I am using calendered monomeric self-adhesive vinyl of the avery dennison brand MPI 3500 series, what happens is that the plotter heats and encompasses the substrate during polymerization and when the print head moves it damages the impression. Hello! Thanks for your videos. I have a question, when printing stickers on this type of equipment (Latex), have you faced the problem of bow deformation of the material (vinyl film)? And how are you dealing with it? after all, the displacement of the middle even on a half of millimeter makes some stickers defective.

      I haven't had that issue. I also don't use the cheapest vinyl which would likely have that issue.

    shouldve explained what and why your are doing what your are doing. As a novice in digital printing and plotting this didnt teach me much other than try to being able track a mouse pointer a lot better. Great video regardless, simply not much help for the people who dont fully know what theyre doing.

      I haven't found that to be the case. Plus it has a lot of advantages of not having to wait for degassing and voc gas, etc.
