- Larry Becker, one of the top communication pros in imaging takes artists through how to use the new Platyball. It's definitely not complicated, and so easy to use. Platyball has turned the tripod industry "upside down" and makes it so much easier for photographers to be more accurate and creative. Visit www.platyball.com for more information.

Just got my Platyball. This video was immensely helpful. Thanks to both Larrys.
Just wanted to send me congratulations to the team at PlatyBall. I signed up over two years ago in the kick-start campaign. I must say waiting over two years was worth it! I was a little annoyed at first, but realize all companies and manufactures were impacted with the world wide pandemic ...plus the trials the team had to go through to designe this gem! I live in Canada and was not charged any duty,
I also thank the team for keeping us well informed over the course of two years. Well worth the wait!! A happy customer!
Excellent video, as always, Larry. Hope you are feeling OK, since your accident as well. Much appreciated! Going to the Elite video now!
Hi Scott. To find Larry Becker’s other video about the electronic leveling indicator go to the bottom of this webpage: www.platypod.com/pages/platyball
Definitely the best demo of how this thing moves and answers my questions about the arca plates as well as the downward 90 degree mobility. Thanks!
Thanks!
has the battery drain issue been addressed since introduction?
Yes. We recommend running the leveling indicator at medium power. See the manual card for instructions. Using it like this we have been able to use these at tradeshows for two or three days at a time frequently without having to replace batteries at all. The brightest setting is only necessary for direct very bright sunlight, but it does tend to drain the battery. Hardly ever needed.
@@Platypod thanks. is there a tension such I can used (with some drag) to take Videos, say with a Sony A1 and 28-70 F2.8?
Ok, I’m guessing I’m a complete idiot because for the life of me, I can get neither my Manfrotto (MHXPRO-BHQ2) nor my ProMaster Pro (HC525) arca plates to fit into the clamp/platform!? Please help? What am I missing? TIA.
The two big buttons for lock and unlock don’t work. I can’t turn platypod to front or back, left or right
You need to push the bottom button the same amount you pushed the top to lock it. Thats how mechanics work..
