Ethel lived a good long life; even with so many PUBLIC tragedies she showed grace and dignity. I can only imagine after losing RFK, hers wasn't an easy road, but I've always admired her from afar. RIP Ethel

My parents met Robert and Ethel in 1968 during the United Farm Workers strikes and boycotting. They spoke very fondly of both. RIP Ethel and Thank you for supporting my parents when they needed a voice.

I have an unusual and interesting RFK story to share. Years ago I was sitting in a doctor's office waiting room and a young woman was waiting, as well. Attractive and perfectly groomed, the woman was an airline stewardess, and looked the part in her crisp, tailored outfit and matching cap. Within a few minutes the two of us were engaged in an animated conversation. After mentioning that her professional focus was on international flights between North America and Europe, I politely enquired if she ever had any public figures on board her flights. Pondering a moment, the stewardess mentioned one....Robert F. Kennedy.
She said it was an overnight flight from New York to London and Mr. Kennedy was on board. On into the night her job was to turn down the lighting to encourage the passengers to rest. She mentioned that Kennedy was wide awake and full of energy though...in his case, a great deal of energy. He asked her if it was OK for him to help tidy up the plane with her and she readily agreed. So Robert F. Kennedy and the stewardess together cleaned up the airplane while the other passengers slept. I once heard him live in New York giving a speech and his energy level was indeed exceptional, not to mention charismatic, so the story doesn't surprise me in the least.

God richly bless Ethel. I have a framed card hanging on my wall along with Bobby's funeral mass card with her signature and doodles on it. A well adored and beloved woman, Ethel fought through all the highs and lows, triumphs and tragedies that brought all of us to our knees over the decades. We are assured she is now finally reunited with her family members, Jack, Jackie, Bobby and Ted. As well as Rose Kennedy who also had a very profound faith in times of massive loss, as well as her parents and most of all, she has seen and is bowing down in bright glory to her creator Jesus Christ. To be for all eternity never separated through death and tears again. She will be interred next to her husband in Arlington. Rest now and forever in eternal light, peace, and joy forever more Ethel we will miss you tremendously as you join your place in history here as now being the very last member of the Camelot era, as well as the last living member in legacy of the original Kennedy dynasty. Rest in peace.
