That man didn’t face any zone defense. Not to mention athletic defenders. He never beat any all time great teams and was never defended by an an all time great wing defender.
@Mr. President Not to mention Michael Jordan had seasons of shooting 13,16,17 &18% from 3. There were no great wing defenders and if a double came it had to commit otherwise it was illegal defense. But these utube dudes fall in love with highlights 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
@bouchthecollector yes remember that 13% from 3. Jordan played in an era with its own style. That was 36 years ago, players are more skillful and athletic. Jordan’s athleticism wouldn’t stand out as much today. But he was a giant against the JV 90s
The thing this younger generation doesn't seem to understand when it comes to Jordan, this was him EVERY 👏 SINGLE 👏 NIGHT 👏. No plays off. No load management. No wasted plays. This guy killed you on both ends of the court every play. And he would do it after a night out at the casino without an ounce of fatigue. He was a machine. So it is nice to see people like you, in this generation, understand what this man was capable of and the heights he took basketball. Props for that! But then you have people say he played against "plumbers". No, he MADE THEM look like plumbers. He made many of them look average because he was so far ahead of the curve. Six championships, no losses. Six finals MVPs. Five league MVPs. Ten scoring titles. Countless All NBA and All Defensive First Teams. A Defensive Player of the Year Award in an Era where that award was usually awarded to the big men. Two Olympic Gold Medals. Hell, even a College National Championship at UNC. Played in arguably the toughest Defensive Era. Still averaged 30+. And he did ALL of this in 15 seasons which includes his two seasons with the Wizards at the age of 40 (or 14 seasons if we want to take out his second season that was almost completely lost to a foot fracture). Twelve seasons if we JUST count his Bulls years. Imagine if MJ didn't retire the first time, IN his prime. Imagine if Kraus kept them together for a year or two more after winning their 6th. Imagine Jordan having a 18, 19 or 20 season career. Just imagine where his stats would have been. How many more titles he would have had. In comparison, at 14 seasons respectively, Lebron was behind MJ in every major statistical category other than assists. He had 2 titles to Jordan's 6. And the hardware gap was huge. I respect LeBron, just as I respect guys like Durant, Curry, Kobe (who is the closest we have ever seen to MJ) and beyond. But Jordan simply packed in MORE accomplishments, both personal and team, in less time than anyone else. The argument of the GOAT hasn't even been close. It's okay to love your favorite player, but as a basketball fan, you can't deny who sits at the top. "Jordan is the standard by which basketball excellence is measured" David Stern Great reaction!
You forget to mention Jordan wouldn't be sitting on the bench with 8 minutes to go in the 4th with the Finals!!!!! On the line down by 12....oh wait... did you say Lebron did that?????!!!!!!
The crazy thing is he was the most fundamentally sound player on the court at all times . I was blessed to get to watch him play in person a few times up close . Mike was just a alien lol
Jordan was on 9 All Defensive First teams while leading the league in scoring 10 times. Imagine how much energy it took to compete that hard on both offense AND defense? He won DPOY and the scoring title in 1988. Steve Kerr once said that it was ridiculous how much better Jordan was than everyone else on the floor. And that was EVERY night!
Yup yup. He also led the league in steals 3x. The only years he didn’t get a defensive first team in Chicago were his rookie year, his second year because he had that broken foot & only played about 20 games, and his comeback year when he only played 17 games. Dude was LETHAL on both of meds of the court.
Even SPIKE LEE, who is a die hard Knicks fan, admits that Jordan is the GOAT.. he witnessed Jordan's era first hand on the courtside.. during the Knicks vs Bulls rivalry he was there to see how crazy MIKE was at that time..
MJ was 6'6, most of his dunk highlights are him posterizing greatest big mans of all time, like Ewing, Mourning, Hakeem, Mutombo. Lebron is 6'9 and one of his greatest dunk is posterizing 6'2 Jason Terry while being 3 on 1 fast break.
@@dirtyface-capone7622 yeah might be. I mean I ain't no hater, but his biggest trait is his physique, but yet he plays in non physical era and I ain't really seen much of him posterizing big players like MJ did
@@dirtyface-capone7622 so many of his plays are overrated af. I ain't really hating on him, but that's just the way I feel about some of the plays. For example that 1 handed pass fake and then making assist. I mean, it was hella amazing play, but MJ been doing one handed pass fakes for years.
I got the joy of seeing all this when it was happening. Jordan adapted to everything the game could throw at him and kept playing. No whining about no-calls, no backing down, no jumping to another team because yours isn't good enough. He MADE his team good enough and keep it going for TWO 3-peats. That's a true GOAT.
Yep just like we will never truly appreciate will chamberlin , this generation will never understand jordan, there nothing more exciting then watch him play, not to mention throw in pippen and the worm..there nothing better, watching LeBron and his team always bored me..
I think my favorite of MJ highlights are his defensive highlights. It's so crazy to watch them, then you have to remember he also led the league in scoring while making all these ridiculous defensive plays. So much fun to watch.
I was at a game probably late 80s and was very young don't remember much but what I do remember Cadillac Anderson made a brutal foul on MJ and he went down unconscious for about a minute or so the whole stadium went completely silent it was like time stopped for a moment but he popped right back up , I'll never forget that.
As an Australian 100% endorse this comment. I used to tape the bulls games on vhs and watched them over and over. We were just so incredibly blessed to have witnessed something so unbelievably earth defying as MJ. Blessed bro! I’ve never felt the same about anyone in any sport since….
Definitely endorse this. As an Aussie who grew up in the 80s and 90s, basketball was like an out of season sport that you might do to stay fit. Jordan made it more than a sport. It became a lifestyle. It was became a huge part of popular culture.
not only in australia, i think basketball only hype in US, me in asia too never give a shit about basketball, but MJ bring basketball to al around the world
It's beautifull to see you younger guys see these recordings. Who would have believed that someone like this ever existed if it was not recorded. I love how it brings old and young together. Believe it or not, your reactions today were our reactions back then. Be forgiving to us old huys if we do not celebrate LeBron the way you can(and should) for his artistry
I'm a grown 26 year old man and just watching jordan play puts tears in my eyes, this man was really the most dominant player there ever was and it wasn't even close.. he embodied what it really meant to be a champion
@@BRAVO2I4 Wilt was an underperformer in the playoffs. Check out his regular season vs playoffs. Wilt is the most athletic NBA player. But this ain't a track and field meet. If it was, Wilt would be #1
Everyone knocks on MJ’s time with the Wizards. But look up his stats. He was putting up better stats then other players in their prime at that time when MJ was in his early 40’s.
Jordan was averaging the same as some of the top players in the league today while on the Wizards and he wasn't in player form. Came out of management to play the game.
You are so right ! I have said it MANY times. Jordan was at such an elite level that we graded him bad for his standards. Go back and re watch the games and look at the stats he was bringing in for a 40 yr old. Today, they would be an all star that is how good he was ! One of my fav quotes from Jordan was when he was on the Wizards. He said " It is sad today when you have a 40 year old out rebounding , diving for loose balls, and giving more effort then guys half his age". He is right and what is more sad, he said that in 2002 and it still resonates today.
Mate, you’re not a LeBron stan, you’re a basketball fan. You clearly appreciate the sport. Stans don’t care about the sport they just care about their guy. That’s not you.
Agreed.. i’ve seen the celtics and ahowtime lakers in the 80s, the jordan era in the 90.. shaq and kobe’s domination of the 2000’s, lebron and the warriors in 2010s... and i’ve never seen anyone like Mike!! He is 1 of 1...
While everyone talks about the high flying dunks and his hang time which are absolutely mind blowing, but what was truly amazing about watching MJ play was the fact that he was fundamentally sound and his footwork was out of this world. There will never be another one like him.
People don't mention his passing enough. But Michael Jordan's passing was absolutely, unequivocally insane. Especially when you add on all of his immense gameplay intensity. You never knew when a pass was coming. Predicting one was damn near impossible. Especially with his crazy ball handling & clutch. No way dude. Michael Jordan mastered it.💎👍🤙
Ironically enough it was because he was forced as a point guard at one point in his career. He also mentioned that he studied Magic's games to prepare himself.
He averages 11 assists per game to match magic's in the 1991 finals while averaging 30 ppg and 8 rpg, and people out here talking about he can't pass 😂
@@benjaminan1183if MJ didnt retire bc of his dad, he likely would have had 8 strsight rings. Yeah, the longest prime.. Lebron has played at a high level longer and i can argue why for a myriad of reasons, but ill just concede the point first. The key words is "at a high level" but not at a prime level. Jordan was in his prime for so long people were relieved when he retired bc they felt they finally had a chance. So yeah, longest prime.
The way Chicago helped develop Mike was in practice. The Bulls would run 5 in 5 drills where they'd switch Jordan off to the losing team & he'd play to bring the losing team back to win. So in game time his switch can never turn off he's always pushing to win.
You're right about the toughness of the 90's. Consider this: Shaquille O'Neal was the most dominant physical force to ever play in the NBA. When he came into the league in the early 90's he was quickly surrounded with great talent. And Shaq got swept FIVE times in the playoffs by five DIFFERENT franchises in the 90's! That's how competitive the 90's were. Unlike the 80's, the 90's had great parity. ELEVEN different Franchises made it to the NBA Finals between 1990 & 1999. People only talk about the Bulls because they won the most championships in that era. But the 1990's was full of great teams.
I agree with you, the music and the editing on this piece is Bar None. At the end when he was walking in as a rookie and walking in at the end of his career gives me chillz. I've watched footage over 100 times. JORDAN IS the GOAT....PERIODT!!!
I really feel like Michael Jordan took the fundamentals of basketball to another level by practicing them until they were instincts. He wasn't overly flashy, but he learned to play the game so flawlessly that while he was on the court, he wasn't thinking about himself, but how to see through everyone else's game to get to the rim. Mike played basketball like people ride bikes. It was just easy.
When I played football growing up, I was usually the littlest or youngest on the field. The older guys used to argue about, "What's so hard about guarding that kid!?". The guy guarding me would always say, "Then you guard him!", to which the other guys would just walk away. The point being, I used to be in this space, where I could see the field and was aware of what everyone was doing. I knew where to run, how to use a players' strengths against them, where to line up, who to fake, it was incredible. I didn't know how to explain it, I just knew how to do it. MJ always looked like he was doing the same thing. Total and utter awareness, which gives you such a level of control over the game. It's so easy to get by someone when you know what they are going to do. And knowing that allows you to also make them do what you want them to do. Because of that, you did better than most players, even when you didn't play your A-game. Take that and add natural ability and a hard-ass (always underated) work ethic. Well... you get ... ...MJ+🏀=🐐
He would practice his offensive and defensive footwork drills in an empty gym full speed…everyday and his cardio was running full blast for 20 minutes.
The person who appreciated Pippen the most was Jordan. He never took the credit himself, he always shared with people no where near as great as him. No one talked about pippen being comparable to Jordan but he always deferred attention and honor to Pip.
@@swilli3476 have you seen what Pippen did with no Jordan? 1994 the Bulls replaced Jordan with three players on pippens level when Jordan retired. That 2nd to 4th best players of that 1994 team were better than anything Jordan had played with. Pippen had a better roster in 1994 than Jordan had in 1993 and won less games. He didn't have the leadership to grow a team. The longer he was the leader, the more the team crumbled. Pippen was brilliant but not compared to the number two of most teams they came up against.
pippen didn't have an alpha mentality he was always a sidekick guy. that's why when phil jackson told him to pass the ball to kukoc in the '94 playoffs at the end of the game pippen cried and sat on the bench instead of helping his teammates. sometimes if you're the best player on the team u have to learn to kick the ball to someone else or just take the shot without permission. instead he cried, quit, and lost respect from his coach and all his teammates. jordan early in his career would have just taken the shot regardless but later he learned to listen to his coaches if he wanted to be successful. so he'd kick it to his teammates in crunch time on occasion. & tbh it really sucks that pippen talks bad about jordan now when jordan has done nothing but help him and compliment him during his entire career. mj even used to make pippen stay after practice so they could 1v1 just so he could help teach the young pippen a few things. it's sad that from pippen's perspective he feels like he was cheated in some way.
I just wish more Lebron fans would wake up and realize just how incredible MJ was. Nobody is on this mans level and there is nothing wrong with being 2nd best.
i've seen the ending of that mixtape so many times and the music along with the game winner in game 6 chokes me up every time. I saw almost his entire career and this still fucks me up when I see it. The greatest no doubt.
MJ's mixtape reflects how ridiculous his career was. He was a bad bad man, on both ends of the court. Even in today's era, Jordan is still on another level. Nobody has the athleticism, shooting ability, and drive of Jordan.
the best reaction I've seen on this video, you know what you're talking about and it's a pleasure.a lot of young people have only seen lebron or kobe play and are blinded to the point of not even realizing how much jordan was above them with a much tougher defense back then than today.
Jordan was unguardable! Too big and strong for smaller defenders, too quick and explosive for bigger defenders. An absolute scoring machine. If he scored 29, we be like "Jordan had an off night"
MJ played vs great defenders: Dennis Rodman, Eddie Jones, Derrick McKey, Jason Kidd , Sidney Moncrief, Mookie Blaylock, Kendall Gill, Vernon Maxwell, Anthony Mason, John Starks, Bobby Phillis, Derek Harper, Alvin Robertson, Joe Dumars, Michael Cooper, John Stockton, P.J.Brown, Dan Majerle, Paul Pressey, Gary Payton, Latrell Sprewell, Nate McMillan, Gerald Wilkens, Doug Christie, In the 90s, the Paint was patrolled by players like David Robinson, Shaquille O"Neal, Karl Malone, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Dikembe Mutombo, Kevin Garnett, Chris Webber, Larry Nance and Shawn Kemp,
@allanhouston.1884 Some poor child in the comments above wanted so badly to downplay how good he was that he tried to convince himself there were no great wing defenders when he played. Poor kid
I really enjoyed your reaction. I watched him play on tv because I lived in California and every time, I watched him It felt like the first time. He's absolutely out of this world. To this day I still get goosebumps and emotional
Jordan played on kill mode on offense and defense. Best scorer of all time and a top 10 defender of all time. Dude had a motor like we have never seen before or after.
There was a story where Jordan was up for 2 days straight, went to play golf and played a game the same day. Jordan had a motor from another stratosphere.
I’ll be 50 yrs. old.. I saw every game Mike, Kobe, LeBron, Steph, etc. play this game.. These gentleman have revolutionized the game of basketball.. All have amazed me in their own way, But.. When I seen MJ play,(on television or in-person), it was an incredible show.. He is the 🐐.. I truly love seeing LeBron play at his level.., I will always say, Kobe is more than not the 2nd under MJ.. R.I.Love. Mamba and Gigi.. ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾Never forgotten✊🏾✊🏾
I think alot of it comes from us Jordan fans....when somebody TRIES to put LeBron anywhere near MJ in the GOAT conversation....it's like INSULTING TO OUR INTELLIGENCE!! JORDAN IS THE GOAT.....BY A LONGSHOT!
There's nothing wrong with having a favorite player while admiting another one as greater. For instance, Pippen's game was so quietly smooth and complete that he became my favorite, but i still knew Jordan was better. Again, nothing wrong with that.
I heard you mention double-teaming Jordan: It was difficult because he quickly recognized them early and reacted before the double could get set. I've seen others say, "Why even let Jordan get the ball in game-winning situations?" - Jordan was determined to get the ball.
He did get double and even triple teamed , but like you said, he was so good (and quick) at recognizing it, that he’d get around it or pass it off before it was set up.
Its crazy cuz im watching how you react and im sitting here normal. Ive been blessed to be a bulls fan, older from chicago. Ive seen his whole career......this was the norm for me. Its crazy cuz the majority of his game was defense and am unstoppable shot. The dude was amazing
I guess that’s why I don’t really “react” to seeing these. When you saw it day after day, it was just “normal”. That being said, we knew he was the best (or would be mentioned with them) very early on.
"Barkley made a business decision", I've never heard that before,...nice. MJ is the reason a 5 foot four and a half inch man , picked up a basketball in his(my) 20's. I was buying MJ VHS tapes before he won his championships. I feel so privileged to have watched him become a champion. Seeing the heartbreak of loosing to the Pistons year after year, and then becoming tougher and tougher to finally beat the pistons to 3peat! Such great sports entertainment! Before every game in Chicago, hearing the intro music and watching the team introductions,....chills! Great reaction! You remind me of another reaction dude. You have some of his mannerisms and expressions,...."no Life Shaq". My opinion. Nice work.

That Suns team you're talking about had the best record in the NBA, with Barkley as the league MVP and Jordan covered him for the series. I guess Clyde Drexler was a scrub? Do your research on the Trailblazers, Sonics, Suns, Jazz rosters. Many of these teams were 9+ deep. These teams had to beat teams led by David Robinson and Hakeem.
MJ has the skill set of some of the elite NBA superstars now combined. Then he was thrown 30 years to the past. That's how great he was. MJ is definitely ahead of his time.
Best thing about Jordan was how he evolved his game. Early it was a lot of inside, slash and dunk with a bit of mid-range. Then the turn around/outside game. People said he could score but couldn't play D. Becomes one of the best defensive players ever.
I'm a Jordan fan, but if he was 6 foot 6, then in order to get head high, his vertical would have to be 42". I don't think I've ever seen a dunk where his head was 6 to 8" above the rim. Correct me if I'm wrong.
A few more details you need to know... He could run a 4.4, 40. He had some of the largest hands in the NBA while only wearing a 13 size sneaker. His actual leap was a 48 but I wouldn't be surprised if for a while in his athletic prime he hit 50. Bobby Knight said he was the greatest basketball player he'd ever seen, and said that before he ever played a game in the NBA- and he never handed out compliments to anyone. Jordan could have lead the league in any category if he chose to. He is without doubt,..... the GOAT.
He was for sometime "The Greatest Show On Earth" especially during the playoffs. That entire team was a well oiled machine. He dared to be great, like Wilt before him, he dared the game to beat him but unlike Wilt, Mike won!
I read in this old sports magazine that was laying around from like 2001. A quote from Paul Pierce. He said when he heard Mike was returning with Washington he had to put an extra hour of practice in at the gym. Thats the pressure Jordan brings as a player.
Best athlete ever, most skilled player ever, (footwork, post moves, crazy reverse layups, middle range shooting, fadaways etc..) , killer winning mentality, super great defender, cluck player, plenty of accolades, quick and smooth as a cat....... BY FAR the goat.
That's really one of the main differences between lebron and Michael Jordan. Lebron has to convince people hes the goat where other people said it about Michael Jordan.
That is because they knew Jordan was a killer and Lebron just doesn't have that killer instinct. He plays in a much less talented/softer era. That should make it easier for him to be a killer, but no. Jordan was a killer in a league full of killers..... Damn, I just said killer way to much.
@@HookedonChronics todays game, i see mostly flashy moves and whatnot. Talent is a gift, something that not everyone can have even if they work harder or use high technology and meds. His prime was the entire 90s. Grew up in Chicago in the 80s and 90s. I witnessed it all. Watch Bulls v Knicks from that era. Some of the most intense playoff series.
MJ was and is the best he... had a move and counter move for everything you threw at him defensively. Great sound! on your video the best i have listened to on the MJ reaction videos. Great commentary too!

Don’t talk trash to him lol 😂
Yep, that's Mike. God of Basketball! And the difference between him and the next person is unfortunately not small! If he had not won one NBA championship his talent would still have made him the best ever! And I used to be a Magic Johnson/Lakers fan in the 1980s! Mike was on another level!
He was 35 for his last title. He was able to be that good for so long bc his work ethic, and mastery of fundamentals.. the crazier part was how many people that played with him said he rarely slept. Imagine if mj slept, didn't drink and smoke, and had a clean diet.
The best part is that every game he played was a highlight reel . I'm born raised West Side Chicago. I'm 45 and lived and seen the whole MJ era . It was honestly the best time for basketball ever . And to have your Team and City the highlight of the world not just the States but the world was pretty amazing. And Mike didn't need or never had a Super Team and Never lost in the Finals . Never went past 6 games in the finals . And honestly if the bulls ownership and GM weren't so dumb !!!!! We win 3-5 more in a row . Tim Duncan becomes a free agent and perhaps 🤔 we get hun and boom we win minimum of 9 and 6 in a row with whom ever we would pick up . Because the Bulls for the last 3 championships especially were a old team .

Great reaction young man! Shaq “he scared me to death” ….Yeah Shaquille said that….Barkley “for the first time in my career I had to admit there was someone better than me” Ray Allen on the GOAT conversation “I’d take MJ everyday all day and twice on Sunday” Mike played all out every game because he felt that particular game may be the only chance someone in the stands would have to see him play. That’s special. You don’t hear that today with load management. Ahmad your love for the game is obvious. Prayers for continued success! God Bless
There’s a legit scenario in which they could’ve won 9 straight titles. Jordan doesn’t play baseball. The front office doesn’t tell Phil Jackson to take a hike in ‘98. Obviously not a guarantee but a legit possibility.
@@eazye519 I think it's pretty likely he would have too . But what you have to think about too is how much winning takes a toll on the mental . Jordan got bored after 3 in a row that he retired and played baseball . Then he came back and lost to the magic , used that motivation to win 3 more. I think 100 percent of Jackson was able to stay they woulda won the 7th against the spurs easily. Jordan needed that break to win 6 cause he was just too bored of winning .

Awesome reaction. MJ's Voyager video is the next best MJ highlight video, and it actually has a lot that wasn't on this one, and some/most are even more amazing that what was in here, believe it or not. To answer your question about how many times they played all 82 games: MJ: played all 82 games in 9 times in 15 seasons - missed significant time in 3 seasons due to: broken foot, retirement, torn meniscus - other 3 seasons: missed 1, 2, & 5 games - total games missed in non-significant injury/retirement yrs: 8 gms in 12 yrs (0.67 gm/yr) LeBron: played 82 gms 1 time in 18 seasons - missing significant time in 1st & 3rd Lakers seasons due to: groin & ankle injuries - other 15 seasons: missed 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 6, 7, 8, & 13 games - total games missed in non-significant injury yrs: 77 gms in 15 yrs (5.13 gms/yr) You also brought up Westbrook: he's played all 82 games 4 times in his 13 seasons. So obviously, MJ was generally very durable and most players in his era played a lot more games on average per season, because "load management" wasn't a thing back then.
Jordan's "prime" is a mystery, even by Jordan experts, because he was so good throughout his entire career, lol! But I would say somewhere between 90-92. So, you are right. During that first or second championship run. But Joe Dumars said, "Jordan was harder to guard in 96 because his jumper was so efficient by then and he just was a master, utilizing minimal movements, because he just KNEW what to do at that point".
I had the honor of growing up watching all these games in real time. He's the Master. Period. The God of Basketball. The GOAT forever. An honor to be raised watching all of the greats in real time. A time that will never be duplicated again. and he was Humble. Always gave honor to those who came before him. All hail the King of the court. Michael Jordan.
"When was Jordan prime ?" He had 2 primes. First one between 1990-1993, he was spectacular, athletic, unstoppable whan he attacked the rim. Second one after his return, 1996-1998, less spectacular, but clever gameplay and terrific mid-range shooting, never missed any clutch shot. Gave him the ball, win the game. As simple as that. Jordan is a god.
@Mr. President Lebron wouldn't be anything with out all star teammates either or a coach either, nice point dude, Pippen or Rodman didn't make Jordan what he was, Phil Jackson was a good coach, but if he had anything to do with how good Jordan was, it wouldn't matter because you can't put another player over Jordan just because he did better because of the coach he had, nice argument.
Yeah he is tied with Darrell griffith aka Dr Dunkenstein who was a Jazz player in the 80's with that 48" vert. First I hear of the 52". The 48" was measured at the 84 Olympics.
MJ definitely was the hardest working player ever. Players who has won scoring title and defensive 1st team selection in same season: MJ - 9 times Kobe - 3 times Everyone else - 0 times
Players who won scoring tit and defensive player of the year award in the same year. Mj and I don’t know who else. How did he not get the mvp that year lmaooo and he averaged 37 ppg that year. Top 3 in steals top 10 in blocks as a guard that year. He’s a cheat code it’s not fair. Created player
@@linus8435 no he didn’t LOL. Hakeem was dpoy 93 and 94. Robinson did win scoring title the year after Jordan retired tho. Coach Lucas force fed him even if he was double or triple teamed and he scored 71 to take it from Shaq.
@@dynamic6645 lmfao, Lebron is better defender than MJ? LMFAO. Lebron hasn't played defense for the last few years. MJ averages more blocks and steals than Lebron even tho he's shorter. Plus he got DPOY award while defense was being dominated by guys like Hakeem, Mutombo, Mourning, Ewing, Shawn Kemp etc.
If Jordan played in this era he would be wearing rings on his toes by now.
He definitely would have a bunch more but also probably would've needed a few down years, just for the physical and mental rest.
Nah it would depend on what team he's on one player doesn't win by himself. He scored 63 vs Celtics in playoffs still lost the game
"Jordan is the standard by which basketball excellence is measured" David Stern
Great reaction!

Jordan was on 9 All Defensive First teams while leading the league in scoring 10 times. Imagine how much energy it took to compete that hard on both offense AND defense?

Bron is actually 6'8 but you came with the facts
I got the joy of seeing all this when it was happening. Jordan adapted to everything the game could throw at him and kept playing. No whining about no-calls, no backing down, no jumping to another team because yours isn't good enough. He MADE his team good enough and keep it going for TWO 3-peats. That's a true GOAT.

Great fundamentals are expected when taught by a legendary Univ. dean.
The way Chicago helped develop Mike was in practice. The Bulls would run 5 in 5 drills where they'd switch Jordan off to the losing team & he'd play to bring the losing team back to win. So in game time his switch can never turn off he's always pushing to win.
No wasted movements yes, same reason why people dont see unnecessary flashy dribbles, he only does what is needed.

Some of the best Hall of Famer‘s also and some of those teams always had great players on them also.. MJ didn’t play scrubs like LBJ fans will say..

Ummm...that's literally how it's supposed to be.
Well... you get ...

Best thing about Jordan was how he evolved his game. Early it was a lot of inside, slash and dunk with a bit of mid-range. Then the turn around/outside game. People said he could score but couldn't play D. Becomes one of the best defensive players ever.
His vertical was around 49-50 but what made his athleticism look so crazy was the quickness he got up! The quickness from ground to sky was unreal.
Actually 48.
and then he had the audacity to stay up there for a bit, MJ was disrespectful to physics and regular niggas.
He dared to be great, like Wilt before him, he dared the game to beat him but unlike Wilt, Mike won!
it's true
The commentators even cheering lmao. I'm so glad I was able to witness Jordan play. Great memories
He was in his prime, his whole career. Ever notice how many people are named Jordan?
I read in this old sports magazine that was laying around from like 2001. A quote from Paul Pierce. He said when he heard Mike was returning with Washington he had to put an extra hour of practice in at the gym. Thats the pressure Jordan brings as a player.
This man had a statue of himself outside of his workplace. I would've been very intimidated if I was a player then.

Best athlete ever, most skilled player ever, (footwork, post moves, crazy reverse layups, middle range shooting, fadaways etc..) , killer winning mentality, super great defender, cluck player, plenty of accolades, quick and smooth as a cat....... BY FAR the goat.
MJ was a perfect combination of skill, athleticism, bball IQ, and competitiveness.
@@thesparkedbrain it's not less talented but it is softer

His prime was the entire 90s. Grew up in Chicago in the 80s and 90s. I witnessed it all. Watch Bulls v Knicks from that era. Some of the most intense playoff series.

MJ was and is the best he... had a move and counter move for everything you threw at him defensively. Great sound! on your video the best i have listened to on the MJ reaction videos. Great commentary too!
one of the best reactors I've ever watched on this platform
The rule in the NBA during Jordan’s time was DO NOT MAKE HIM MAD.. HE PLAYS BETTER THEN.
That so ture about Jordan
Ask LeBradford Smith about poking the bear haha
They had Jordan rules back then and if it wasn’t for Detroit Pistons bad boys MJ wouldn’t be the player he is.. they brought the best out of him mentally and physically.. he was a great player before that but made him A more assassin and a sniper and that killer instinct.. Don’t talk trash to him lol 😂

@@mikemccallister3915 They brought the best out of him? 😂😂😂😂Sure they did.
Two rules: Don't make MJ mad and don't let him take off (good luck on the latter).
Good luck on the former too. Remember when he just made up a story about another player talking shit just to psych himself up?
I appreciate your honesty young fella!
9 seasons jordan played 82 games and one he played 80 and he averaged over 40 minutes a game too
Yep, that's Mike.
That would've not be Jordan though. Like if Kobe was a nice guy, it wouldnt be Kobe
There is nobody even close. Good to see someone young take interest and open enough to admit what greatness truly is.
Much respect for the reaction.
MJ played with heart every game and every year. I watched him and all the good players since. No one close to what MJ for me. Everyone since wants to be like Mike!!!!!
Thanks MJ.. it's a perfect story
"How do you guard that" - you couldn't. That was the problem lol.
MJ ran a 4'3 40 yard dash so his first step is lighting quick. "That's God disguised as Michael Jordan" - Larry 🐦
The last time he actually got his vertical officially measured was at the Olympics at age 21 and it was 48 inches. I think he could jump higher

Bro for me MJ prime started in 86 and lasted in 98... Damn watching MJ in his prime was so amazing and I have the privilege to watch him doing such a incredible dunks fade away reverse lay up and the ball handling..man that was so amazing... amazing....
but i think the jordan prime era was 88-93..after he retired the first time and came back in 95..his game changed. he plays more genius and is more tactical, ..less physical...
God Bless

MJ's footwork was insane
He didn't light the court on fire when he played. He burnt cities to the ground!
There’s a legit scenario in which they could’ve won 9 straight titles. Jordan doesn’t play baseball. The front office doesn’t tell Phil Jackson to take a hike in ‘98. Obviously not a guarantee but a legit possibility.
It would have happened. They beat Houston in 6 both times and beat the spurs in 5 in 1999.

Jordan was a savage competitor, a role model, and every time he touched the ball you knew you would witness greatness. He would never call himself the GOAT but never needed to.
There have been countless players that have 1 or 2 attributes. Jordan is the only one that had them ALL in spades. He was the total package.
Fun Fact: 7 out of the top 10 players in Blocks per game and 8 out of the top 10 in Total Blocks played their prime during Jordan's era. He posterized some of the best rim protectors to ever play.
I remember the playoff game when he had the flu and he was knocking out 3’s. He did the head shake and arms up like he didn’t know how he was doing it. I was either in 7th or 8th grade. Amazing to watch him play!
It's nice to see the youth of today actually watch greatness. There is no comparison

Mad respect to you for taking time to watch this. I find it so wild when people try to compare ANY player to MJ. They just don't get it... but now you do and it makes me happy :)
Awesome reaction. MJ's Voyager video is the next best MJ highlight video, and it actually has a lot that wasn't on this one, and some/most are even more amazing that what was in here, believe it or not. To answer your question about how many times they played all 82 games:
MJ: played all 82 games in 9 times in 15 seasons
- missed significant time in 3 seasons due to: broken foot, retirement, torn meniscus
- other 3 seasons: missed 1, 2, & 5 games
- total games missed in non-significant injury/retirement yrs: 8 gms in 12 yrs (0.67 gm/yr)
LeBron: played 82 gms 1 time in 18 seasons
- missing significant time in 1st & 3rd Lakers seasons due to: groin & ankle injuries
- other 15 seasons: missed 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 6, 7, 8, & 13 games
- total games missed in non-significant injury yrs: 77 gms in 15 yrs (5.13 gms/yr)
You also brought up Westbrook: he's played all 82 games 4 times in his 13 seasons.
I would say it at least started in 87. He was unreal in the late 80's.
Man, that was rhe fastest I ever saw someone get up and throw their headphones down 😂 love it! I know im late but, great reaction to The GOAT! ❤🎉
"When was Jordan prime ?"
He had 2 primes.
I would go as far to say his Prime was all his Bulls years & he retired & came back in his Prime.
Thank you for your reaction. I have not seen another "cradle dunk" from another player. Have you? I'm curious.
He had a 48” vertical although his team USA coach said he measured him at 52” in practice
