I'm french (sorry for my english 😉🇨🇵), and a massive number of french kids have decided playing basketball in the 80' / 90' due to MJ ! We were all fascinated by this marvelous player. One of our national TV Channel had the NBA diffusion rights, and everytime MJ played with the Bulls, me with my friends, as many other people, wake up at 3.00 in the morning to watch MJ in action. I'm 47 now, played basketball (in low divisions) during 30 years of my life, just because I saw one day the GOAT playing, Mister Michael Jordan.
(Sorry again for my poor english).

There will never be another MJ for me, and that’s coming from a BK born Knicks fan. He was the most dominant player in the best era of the game to this point, and twenty plus years after his prime, he still widely considered the GOAT. Appreciate this work, it’s as detailed as Jordan was effective. Good looks!

Same here. From North Jersey and I was 12 when Jordan had that baseline dunk on Oak and Ewing. Eastern Conference playoffs with Jordan, Reggie, Mourning and Spike, with the black sneakers and Starks and Mason. It was really like nothing I've seen since. Hasn't really even come close. As die hard a Knicks fan though, I always had on Jordans and to this day love watching him play. It was a different time this generation can't comprehend. You didn't know where or what he was doing. He seldom gave interviews, and it was just such a spectacle when Jordan took the court. Enormous expectations every single night, and he somehow always exceeding them. I remember how happy I was when he came back in 95 ... Between Jordan and Mike Tyson, there hasn't been anything as electric and as captivating as when those two preformed.

What made Michael Jordan so great is that he gave 100% each and every single game I grew up watching the Celtics in the Lakers winning championships then the Pistons and they all had good players but the difference between then and now is that superstars in in the NBA did not want to play with each other they wanted to beat each other and that's a difference between old generation basketball teams and the new generation teams nowadays. We have some great talent in the NBA but want to make a super team instead of trying to create a great team and I know I'm going on and on but come on now Lakers and I don't want to call nobody out could you imagine if Magic Larry ,Jordan, and Ewing Barkley would have been in the same team and no disrespecting to my man Shaq love you big diesel but you weren't an NBA player then and that's what the NBA's turned into but don't like the Golden State Warriors but hats off to them cuz they're done it with three players from the beginning Curry Thompson and Green it's almost like The Three Amigos of Jordan Pippen and Rodman and by no means am I comparing Golden State to the Bulls cuz I'm going to old school and Bulls all the way

Yeah he was a God gifted man for sure. We gre up in Chicago too, my brother was a gifted artist, he worked on the movie with him Space Jam in Cali, they made a dome for him to practice in, every day during filming. I thought it would easily be the biggest movie ever, when I was pretty young. The movie really didn't get popular until recently, and they had a moment where, Jordan was like hey... you're gifted too !. And they talked about doing what they are good at, since they are just kids. As if he needed a bigger ego ?. He knows he had a big gift, they both did. My brother had a brick from the old Chicago stadium, his friend was working construction demo there, he showed it to Jordan. I think Jordan wanted it, he was like wow how did you get that ?. I would have given it to him. We used to take a cab to see him play there, the old stadium.

Magic and Larry have been graciously giving Jordan his props ever since they started playing against him. They were still at the peak or near-peak of their careers. They were the biggest stars of the NBA when he came along. Larry was a straight talker. He was clearly in awe. Jordan has always given them respect even when it was clear he had surpassed them. MJ has been out of the game for 20+ years and he's still being talked about. He brought tons of people into the sport who otherwise wouldn't have cared if it wasn't him that was playing. His shoes took an indie company from the brink and shot it into the stars. He took what was a really bad team at the time and turned them into a winning team, largely by himself. Shit, the man retired twice and has suffered some significant losses in his career and people still love him, and all of this came from how much he loved the game and his insane ambition to be the best.
LeBron can stat pad himself into greatness, but even in his 20 years of playing, he has yet to have the kind of effect on people that MJ had and still does.

From the way the game was played, the rules changes made during his time and immediately following, to the globalization of the sport with the Dream Team, to the evolution of the shoes and branding, and to the overall marketing of the game. Michael made it possible for guys like Chandler Parsons to get 4-year $94 million dollar deals. No other player has ever had as much impact on the game, or ever will, as he has.

He has reached heights no one has ever reached. Not Tiger. Not Federer. Not Brady. Not even close. And that speaks to the essence of the game of basketball. He was able to do so much so well. An all around great player. I hope something as special as him comes along again in my lifetime.

I used to dream of imitating the dunks, the shimmy, the fade, the hang time, the tongue out, the attitude, the footwork and everything, but all I can do back then was shoot the ball very near the rim 😂. MJ played every game like it’s his last to please those who paid tickets to see him play.
That alone makes him the GOAT

Nick, I have an idea for the channel ... What about taking 2 players, like say Shaq and Hakeem, and making a video making a point on why one is better than the other? Or take teams like the Bulls and Warriors, or even make your own dream teams and put em up against each other. Might be something out there but haven't seen anything consistent like that. I think it'd be dope. Killing it lately!!

My brother I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Tastefully done and then some. As a basketball fan since the 80's, I am impressed. Great job.
p.s. Maybe a Chris Paul or Kobe next🤷‍ Stay Blessed
