In the first level, you were supposed to use the fire flower to get the shellmet, use the shellmet to get the boot (boot slams let you out of the boot room), and then use all of the above to get the spring and complete the main world.
His complete lack of boot slams on the thwomps really confused me. The green boot can do that, right?

I feel you made that level (5:00) way more complicated than it actually was. Seem like the key doors were in a certain order for you get the necessary items.

Not missing a single one of those on/off switches - on the very first attempt - was nothing short of amazing.
The Ryu curse is real. Any time Ryu mentions that he likes a level or is good at something, he will instantly die.

Man im watching your videos every evening befor sleep. You are such a great person to watch and calm down after a hard day of work. When I'm finished with school and I start to earn some money I will buy a subscription. I hope you never stop having fun creating those smm videos!

An explanation for the first level:
One POW would have been enough to see what was in the launcher in the boot room. It probably was more POWs, which would let you kill the Thwomps to get the boot. It also would allow you to leave the room.
If you get the spring _after_ doing all the rooms, you'll have a boot and the spring at the same time. This way, you'll be able to leave the subworld with the boot. This, in turn, allows you to ditch the boot to get the checkpoint. From here, all the items you acquire in the subworld are available when you die.

sometimes I hate not being able to comment live lol . 1st level wasn't terrible. would be better if they numbered the doors so you would know the order. or maybe even simplify it and have each room lead to the next section. making it a pick a door is bad design. anyway order is fireflower door, helmet door, boot door. fireflower is the only door that can be completed initially, it's needed to get helmet and the helmet protects you as you try to leave with boot. use boot to kill munchers and free the cannon which i assume shoots a pow to so you can leave. spring last so you can exit with the boot. then jump off boot to reach checkpoint.

It launches a pow so you can leave with the boot. You use the boot to groundpound and kill the munchers.

21:00 My face did the same as Ryu when he timed out at the goal of the P Balloon speed run.
Seems like he forgot that shellmets protect against vertical thwomps and big boots can kill munchers in that first level. Incredible work around though. 😂

I really liked the first level for some reason, it had some very specific charm that i really enjoyed
I like it too oddly. it needs some play testing to make the objective more clear and remove the cheese ryu found. i think the doors being pick a paths weren't intended. I fully believe the creator just never thought about how player doesn't know what they knew about the order and it's only an issue because they intended for the boot to be used to leave the room where you obtained it.
@@alsims2007 I thought it was intended. Why else would you put the booty up there in the main section? Looked liked the rest was just decoy.
@@kooijbas because of the checkpoint. If the items weren't up there the checkpoint would be pointless since the items are required to complete the level.

7:56 you were supposed to use the shellmet to get the boots (thwomps wouldn't be able to damage you), ground pound with the boot to clear the munchers for the cannon which probably spit out something you could use to get out of the door with, and then use the boot to jump up to the checkpoint.

absoluty no clue how ryu didnt notice the first level was a puzzle and had an order to do the doors so when u get to the check point you jump out the boot up to the check point

So a bunch is 3, a foot is a couple of bunches, which is 2×3=6, a football field is a foot+ball+field, a field is a lot of feet and a ball is about a foot, so that makes it 6+1+a lot= about 7 and a lot of feet!
How many football fields fit in a mile again? Is that in gallons or Fahrenheit?
re: the run killer, I think the problem was he was releasing the beetle late and is trying for the max jump. If he releases the beetle early, it will bounce earlier, hence he won't need a max jump

That first level was not so difficult to figure out. You get the fireflower and the pow, use that to get the shelmet and use that to get the boot. If you have the shelmet you can just get the boot without worrying about the thwomps

You have to play Ori and the will of the wisps. It’s a metroidvania on par with hollow knight and it has sick platforming like Celeste

Honestly, I wish you would just alternate. Do a MM1 Super Expert No Skip run, then a MM2 Super Expert Run, rinse, repeat. Probably less repetitive/boring for you, too.

Had he done three first level like it was intended, he would have saved 5 lives. Sometimes he needs to slow down and try not to cheese
I feel like I am the only one who does not like the levels where it's extreme platforming and you're jumping on stacked moles or whatever. All of those levels just seem the same. Some are harder than others but it's still the same basic concept. I much prefer levels that have a variety of things in them. Level 1 in this video was fun to watch. We all know Ryu is a top tier level gamer when it comes to the platforming levels. My favorite levels to see him play are puzzle levels though because 9/10 times he either cheeses or brute forces his way thru the level and does not beat it the intended way.
#2level was a really clean run overall man!!!👍
