As your explaining why the guy would drive that long, you notice the battery hold down is upside down. That's why. Your attention to detail is top notch!
Thanks for making the trip my friend. There’s always little extra things do that customers discover later. Some small details make up to be noticeable.
@@LHTPerformance Sure does. Gets lots of attention, too. The week before this year's Pike's Peak Hillclimb, I drove to the summit. You should have seen all the heads turning when I went through the area where the teams were finishing up practice. Folks who know a great automobile when they see one.

Thanks for the video and love watching these maintenance videos to do the same to my 08 SI. BTW, a note on the Trans fluid. I tested 3 different trans fluids on my SI - Royal Purple Synchromax, Amsoil Synchromesh, and Honda MTF. The Amsoil had the smoothest shifts and to my surprise, eliminated the 3rd gear grind and pop out issue. My brothers 99 civic with a D series trans wasn't as smooth as he liked and would grind going into 2nd and 3rd at high RPMs. He had low expectations when I told him to try run the Synchromesh in his trans, but he did and he no longer grinds when shifting fast at high RPMs. This isn't a miracle fluid and obviously won't fix a damaged trans, but I'd be interested to see you test it out and if you have similar results compared to Royal Purple or Honda fluid. 🤙
@@LHTPerformance $1900 for OEM vs $900 for Robbins, tough pill to swallow especially with another $1000 to have it professionally installed. I have a Robbins on the way, we'll see if I regret it...
Some S2000s had intermittent issues with the pins on the MAP sensor plug. Honda actually had a cap with a zip tie built in to help the plug hold tension. It’s pretty rare they have an issue.

Bought your shifter rebuild kit 4 years ago now. Still feels great and the difference before and after day and night. S2000 with around 155k now
Awesome ! That’s what I like to hear. Happy Friday !
The parts made by Honda?
This is the kind of stuff I like to see and watch
I saw a white S2000 on my way home today, looked great. White is my favorite color for all the golden era hondas, no other color seems more fitting.
Thank you for the great video on my car!!! I just went out to the garage to look at the tires 😀 John from Niceville

Nice car, John. I searched for a white one but settled for Laguna Blue. Still think white looks the best. Wise decision taking it to LHT.
@@TS-mo6pn Thank you... I highly recommend the shop!!!
@@TS-mo6pn Laguna Blue Pearl is amazing! A color correction and ceramic coat makes it really show 👍🏻

I love the videos. S2000 owner from Maryland 😊
Zip tie holding the Map or TP sensor plugged in on the intake manifold. Classic.
@@crisnmaryfam7344 I would rather the dealership try that as opposed to replace the whole entire throttle, body assembly, like they usually would.
I would totally go to you for my s2000, but I'm California 😢

@13:35 my cats always used to love sleeping on my soft top, a simple lint roller cleaned the hair easily
white is great, never seen tan interior before
Interesting fact, White S2Ks with tan interior are the most common combos under the grand prix white name. Almost 2,000 were produced.
Based on what we see( about 150 S2000s a year) we don’t see many. But then white are pretty rare for us.
And I own one of them 😊, still pretty rare to see a GPW with a tan interior.
@@ducducgoose Congrats. Best color combo. Even nice than my Chicane Silver.
@@michaeldoyle5001 funny enough I originally wanted a silver s2000, and somehow landed a GPW and had zero regrets.
Lol I wanted red and ended up with GPW/tan. Love it!
Great video
One day I'll drive from Houston to see you.
We had one customer drive from Alaska for a K-Sight package and then drove it home.
Oh, and he swung by Key West on his way.
Thats wild that they came from Niceville. I'm from the Crestview area.
Thinking about shipping my car from California to get the full maintenance done.

Have you lost your fluid drain bolt magnet?
@Meguiars hook these guys up! 😂
@LHT Performance I’d love to bring my car to you one day! My issue is I’m located in Colorado 😅 Make it a fun trip down to Florida?!?! 🤷🏾
75W140 for the diff? Does it need to be that thick? I thought OEM spec was 75w90?
As per Ben at Puddy Mod Racing. He recommends the 75w 140 for increased shock protection. We run it in all the diffs we service.
I wish I could being my Laguna Blue AP2 to you! Alas, I’m in Massachusetts

What do you recommend for soft top replacement if not Robbins?

Is that royal purple trans fluid good for a D series transmission
I’ve not personally tried it. I see no reason why you couldn’t use it.
