I cant get over the fact that Germany fits into Ontario 3 times (357.592 to 1.076.000 km²) with almost 6 times the inhabitants (82.7 to 14.2M)! 🤣My area is one of the least populated in G and I still cant walk too far without seeing anything manmade. That was one of the most fun road trips I’ve ever been on. Sad to see the rat tail go at the end but for those wondering where it went - we gifted it to my cousin lol
Phoebe and I were havin a laugh we just did that BC road trip and it was all so we could get to a wedding at the end! What a great way to finish a trip
Going through a guiding service would be the easiest, they provide all the gear, food, knowledge and guidance of course but it all comes with a cost. You can certainly do it on your own and start small, cover the basics, sleeping bag, tent, pack, cooking supplies, a saw for gathering firewood, a lighter, first aid kit and rain gear are some staples for being safe and comfortable in the wilderness. If you’ve never camping before I’d recommend “front country” camping at a local park where you aren’t in a remote area and you still have access to park facilities such as a washroom and a service desk. Then as you gain more experience you can push the boundaries a bit further into backcountry camping. Do your research and see what you’d be most comfortable with. Any time you go out into the wilderness make sure at least 1 person knows where you’re going and when you’ll be back. Safety first! Hope this helps
