Tobias Forge was playing a character heavily inspired by Jim Jones, at least in the church and afterwards. On the chance you might be unfamiliar with who that was, look up "Jonestown."
Great vid! Check out their live He is from the (2016) Swedish Grammys…off the charts That crowd oblivious to the magic they experienced. Next up! Watcher in the sky (studio!!!)
Brilliant reaction, you really need to check out Respite on the Spitalfields, it's based on the story of Jack the Ripper, and it's my favourite Ghost track👍
I just got into Ghost earlier this year myself. I've gone through and watched all your Ghost reactions, and I have a suggestion for a song! Ghost sings two different versions of it. It's called "If You Have Ghosts" and it's a cover of a song originally by Roky Erickson. Ghost's original studio recording is one of their older songs and a little on the pop-ish side. However Ghost recently released a new version of the song which is sung live for their movie. It is beautiful, haunting and emotional, and honestly shows why the band is so beloved. So make sure to also check out the "Ghost - If You Have Ghosts (Rite Here Rite Now - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)" version of the song. Tobias is on record as saying He Is and Ghuleh/Zombie Queen were songs where Ghost stepped outside their comfort zone in a different direction. For early Ghost I recommend this performance of Elizabeth: ua-cam.com/video/dQKQxF-RK_g/v-deo.htmlsi=Tg9bBIJClVD-3MvH For Halloween, I recommend Ghuleh/Zombie Queen, or Death Knell. There is a whole story about how He Is came to be, if you're interested. Thanks for sharing your Ghost journey! 🔥🤘😜🔥
You could put this in an American church playlist and no-one would notice, unless they heard the lyrics about 'the beast with many names' and 'the guidance of the morning star will lead the way into the void'..! A critique of organised religion, mainly televangelism. If you want a reference to one of the underlying meanings of this song, take your video (not the original) to 5:32 and go forward frame by frame. You will catch a one-frame glimpse of someone 'cultish' as you said! JJ.
Tobias Wasn’t raised religous, in sweden people aren’t normally religous. Very few people actually go to church. He is mocking and criticizing religion, especially organised religion.
Tobias was raised religious more or less, specifically his mother is christian and his teacher from school aswell. I think he talks about this in an interview about how christianity was sort of forced on him.
Fantastic thumbnail choice. Very......eye-catching 😂

This suit was actually modeled after the Michael Jackson picture with the chimp.

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻🍬👀
Happy Halloween to you too!!
Don’t watch any Steel Panther videos you’re gonna have a meltdown lol.
I’m down!!
I believe Tobias' step mother made him go to s Catholic school and he didn't have a good experience.
Jesus He Knows Me is the other video I think of when I see Ghost make Christianity look sketchy
A gospel for the Devil😅
