From my understanding, the BC means “because copyright” in this instance (there was already a band named Ghost in the US at the time), but multiple meanings are Ghost’s specialty :) Faith is my perennial favorite. And Respite on the Spitalfields covers all the bases, simply a masterpiece. Hope you do more from Ghost soon!
Year zero live performance is so cool especially their recent tour, the stage setup and pyro make looks like a literal hell. And my song recommandation: faith, mummy dust(live so muchhhh better), con clavi (also live, the lighting is so good), kaisarion, darkness (beautiful ballad), n respite. And if u want to choose any random song it still be good, all ghost song is great😁 sorry for my english
He Is was the first song that drew me to Ghost and Year Zero was the second. You should for fun watch a live version with good video quality from one of the last tours because Tobias uses a lot and by that I mean A LOT of fire when the play it live.
They was called Ghost B.C during this album, Infestissumam, because there was another band (USA) called Ghost. Though that band hadn't been active for a long time so just to be sure, they were called Ghost B.C. At the time when they released their third album, Meliora, they had got green light to use just Ghost as a band name, without risk of being sued. Remember that during this era, Ghost were totally anonymous. Who was Papa? Are the band female? The talk at the time was pretty much about who they were. Very interesting to follow! 😀 I would suggest you to react to Ritual, their Live studio video. Really great! That's from their first album Opus Eponomous.

To hear thousands of people shouting 'Hell Satan' in the middle of the song (Swedish for 'Hail Satan') is quite the moment. I don't think you've done 'Faith' yet? Look up the official video from 'A Pale Tour Named Death'. For another old one that will surprise you, the haunting, beautiful and hypnotic 'Monstrance Clock', with which they used to close their shows till 2019. Again, the version from Hellfest 2016 is fabulous, with the nuns and kids joining in! Or for extra heavy, the wonderful 'Mummy Dust'.
