  • I had a hard time deciding which Garmin Striker to get so I purchased both and to discover which one I like most. Well it was no contest and the other one is being returned.

    Terrific helpful video! Exactly the choice I was wondering about, and very clear information and demonstration of features and differences. I agree that Striker 4cv is a slam-dunk choice over the basic Striker 4. Now I'll have to check out your airgun content too!

      @@piecartbox you would be wise to buy the ice ducer for around 100 cad idk how much usd. The ducer will work but having to get it to sit properly while in the water will be challenging the ice kit or ice ducer will make your life alot easier if your able to afford it. Compared to a Marcum or vexilar your saving big money still and they work just as well if not better.

    I have a Garmin handheld gps for mountaineering and hunting. I really like it. I have rechargable batteries for it. So I can charge the unit with my biolight camping stove. I'm sold on the Garmin vivid fish finder. I'm currently motorizing my top water sportsman 106 kayak by OldTown. With a 55lb thrust newport vessels trolling motor. So I will have a batterie on board to power a fish finder, transducer, and nav lights. This Garmin vivid 4 is the perfect size for a kayak mount. Thank you for the video side by side comparison. I think the extra 70 or so bucks is worth having the better clarity of the larger tranducer and screen. Side note, some people say that the screen is not a touch screen, and that that's a bad thing. Or that this unit is "cheap". I say they don't know what they are talking about. Wet fingers and touch screens don't work well together. Rain, sea spray, none of that is good for touch screen operation.

    • @aaroncantrell8819
      @aaroncantrell8819  2 роки тому +1

      I really want one of those fishing electric kayaks but they are do expensive but I would be able t fish anwhere with it. So I am still considering it. As for those who say too cheap or not a touch screen. Why. If they don't like it they should just concentrate on what they want rather commenting on what others like. Thanks for sharing.

      @@aaroncantrell8819 my top water 106 is a relatively short kayak. Its a one man portable kayak. Good solid build. Didn't come with anything fancy. Ive slowly investing time and money aftermarket to make it the way I want it. The factory motorized kayaks are $1800.00+ at the very mininum new. My build will end up at &1650.00 and custom for me. If your willing to put the sweat into it. You can do the same. The garmin fish finder is not added into that final cost. That added cost will bring the final cost up, what the topwater motorized kayaks cost with out any added electronics, gear tracks, or accessories like rode holders, cleats, etc etc. So, all said and done. I have a fully motorized and electrified yak that still has an open un obstructed bow.

      @@stevenhunter6552 Given all the time and expense to build with aftermarket parts would you recommend just purchasing a $2,000 kayak for an old dude like me. I HAVE SPENT THAT MUCH ON A SINGLE PCP. Also, What brand would you recommend for a first timer like me. Thanks.

      @@aaroncantrell8819 on a side note, my buddy just bought a B&T APC9 K PRO. Freaking 3000 bucks plus 650 for optic. An Olight red dot. Don't remeber the model. We are planing to go shoot it in a couple weeks. Im not going to spend that much on a PCC. Or any rifle for that matter. Lol how ever I do want a Kel-Tec sub 2k gen 2 9mm. Much more affordable for me. Plus its weight and ability to fold up nicely into hikking pack is almost unbeatable. I just wish the sub gen 2 sub 2k was chambered in 10mm. That would make it a great camp carbine.
