I'm you liked it. The features I show in my video are the ones I use the most. You're correct in saying there are many features. I do not use them all, because I don't need to.
Unfortunately no. This one is a base model. You might be able to check out the higher end Garmin fish finders on their website and find a GPS map for the area you are looking for. I believe you can buy specific area maps online.
@sittingduhk yes, I've heard of people doing that. My favourite way is off a lithium deep cycle battery. They are much lighter than a conventional deep cycle battery and seem to last longer.
This is the battery I have been using and it is working great. www.amazon.ca/ECO-WORTHY-Rechargeable-Phosphate-Protection-Fishfinder/dp/B092PR8QFQ?th=1
Not at this time. I do have some how to videos on my channel that might help you. Like this one: ua-cam.com/video/nFhgBNY2QYA/v-deo.htmlsi=XDUrLZk4CKpvpbpb
I have watched several of your videos been. This is why I'm contacting you. I am a senior and I'd love to get out fishing. If you ever want to partner or you ever want to do a charger or anything like that, I'd be very interested. However, I will continue watching your content, especially the local stuff. My biggest dream though, to catch a huge Laker
Nice. What kind of waterproof box? How big is it? I know someone who uses an even smaller box just to fit the battery in. I prefer a larger box because I can also keep some tackle and supplies in it.
For the price point, the Striker 4 is an amazing fish finder. It's user-friendly right out of the box. If you don't want to learn about the features it has, all you have to do is turn it on. If you want to get the most out of the Striker 4 then this video should help you.
Thank you for this tutorial. So much to learn with the Striker 4

Will do. I have a couple kokanee fishing videos, but not one showing the fish finder only. I'll put this on my list of to dos for the summer.
Awesome friend learned something new today I got the same unit...how to stop beeping ?
You learned how to stop the fish finder from beeping? You had fish alarms on?
@@FougereFamilyAdventures I was able to find that in the settings today fishing..been slow burbot fishing on babine
@KirkB_ oh no, that's too bad. Hopefully it picks up for you
you can run one of these directly off a battery for a cordless drill like a Dewalt or a Ryobi, thats what I do in my kayak

@@FougereFamilyAdventures Can you put a link to a suitable battery

@kevinpickard9212 thanks for watching. I'm glad you like my content. I'll be sure to announce it if I end up guiding.
Excellent info. Is there a way to measure engine hours?
No. The Garmin Striker 4 is not connected to the motor. As far as I know, it does not record the time it is on either.
@@FougereFamilyAdventures thanks !
Thanks
You're welcome. I'm glad you like it
I mounted mine on a waterproof box like this and use a Dewalt 20v battery to power it.

So I see striker sucks not user friendly
