    The best video I’ve seen on installing the E85 kit from integrated engineering on UA-cam! Wonderful job.🎉

      Thank you! It was a lot of work and I’m proud of it. Yeah, maybe it’s a bit longer than it needs to be, but I hate when people leave out the important steps or things to consider. Cheers!

    Nice work. I'm glad IE is putting out e85 products. Its great fuel option and I wana see more stuff available for our German cars for us that can get the fuel regularly. We definitely need the sensor that reads the content tho it makes the process much easier for daily use.

      Same. Looking to do this on my car. Would like dedicated e85 tune but don’t want to deal with testing fuel quality and not sure I can trust my wife to find e85 and worry she will use 91 octane.

      @@Mr_Hustles The data isn’t enabled to be viewed until the TrueFlex tune is flashed. I was hoping to do the same, but I confirmed with IE that this is the case. I’m sure there’s a way to code it, but idk how and not sure what impacts that could have. Congrats on getting it done! Now we wait.

      I had emailed IE and had asked what sensor they use/recommend (See Reply below). Waiting for my FuelIt to show up today or Monday, then I'll have to wait a little while longer before my friend's son returns from collage to help with the installs. I promised that I'd show him how all of the new mod's work together to make a "hot hatch" a little hotter. BTW I'm having (C.V.) watch YOUR posts to UA-cam because it's apparent that you take pride in your workmanship (therefore IMO worth watching).

    nice. this direct connect kit to the ecu has me over The pricey fuelit kit . So the content will be displayed using the obdeleven?

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh  2 роки тому

      Yes, you will be able to see content via OBD11, but it only becomes enabled once you load the TrueFlex tune from IE. So don’t get this thinking it’s a cheaper way to see ethanol content if you don’t plan doing IE’s TrueFlex tune.

      I’m 100% certain I got the right pin, but you’re right the file hasn’t come out for my car yet. Without the file, the ethanol channel/bit is not enabled, so I couldn’t see anything in my OBD11 yet. I heard I might get a chance to beta test soon!

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh  2 роки тому +1

      Yes I did! Maybe I should make a Short on that. I used black zip ties on the bottoms left and right to keep them tied to the hood. It isn’t ideal, but the easiest solution I could come up with and they haven’t melted from the turbo heat yet. So wait both sides are power where you installed the 2 amp fuse IE supplied?

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh  2 роки тому +1

      Both sides of what? If you’re asking about the fuse there is one side of the fuse that already has power existing in the box. We are just taking advantage of the empty slot. The fuse links from the existing power to the power wire from the ethanol sensor you insert into the fuse box.

    So for the ecu pin i count 2 from bottom to top then 9 from left to right or 8? U kinda moved the camera real quick there lol , thanks

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh  2 роки тому +1

      There are 21 pins in each row, so part of what you said gets you to the right spot. 4th row down begins with pin #64 on the left side, so it would be easiest to count from there. You can double check by counting backward from #85 in the bottom left.

    I have their true flex tune on the is38. I’m quite disappointed it only makes 12 more whp than the 93 tune with e70. The e85 is20 tune actually makes the same power as a is38 on pump. My 60-130 was low 11s on e70. Now I’ve been with IE for almost 3 years on my GTI. Had stage 2, is38, and now their true flex. IE is still very conservative but it works!
    So I Picked up a Cobb just to try other tunes. Eqt e30 is38 stage tune I ran a 10.5 with a pretty bad DA on the first run. I’m just seeing what else is available. I’ll still buy IE products because they are top notch but I’m moving from the tuning aspect being fully vested for years. Their development is just slow. Took me a year to go from v1 to v1.6 on is38.

    • @deezyb858
      @deezyb858 2 роки тому

      I'm with eqt right now, and waiting on the Trueflex for IE. I'm trying to figure out if i should just get the eqt e85 tune or wait for the IE trueflex. Would you say the eqt e30 tune was faster than the IE trueflex on e85?

    • @NerdGenius
      @NerdGenius 2 роки тому

      @@deezyb858 yes it is faster. The tune on IE is tuned for safety in mind. So it will never net over 372whp that ie tuned it in safety for.

    • @deezyb858
      @deezyb858 2 роки тому

      @@NerdGenius is that 372whp stage 2 E85? If so, that is conservative.

    • @NerdGenius
      @NerdGenius 2 роки тому +1

      @@deezyb858 e70 true flex is38 file. Reason being is that a is38 maxes out on e50 with a hpfp unless you have a really strong stock lpfp. So IE calibrated to run less boost as you add more ethanol to prevent your fuel pressure from dropping and causing you to run lean. Yes EQT runs more boost but remember if your lpfp is weak it will cause fuel rail pressure drops. Not all lpfp are created the same. I seen some drop fuel rail pressure at e40 on the is38.

    • @MeltingRubberZ28
      @MeltingRubberZ28 2 роки тому

      @@NerdGenius I'm personally somewhat on the fence with IE basically because of how conservative it may be, however their IS38 numbers for 19+ cars are pretty decent. I'm hoping that their flex tune for 19+ IS38 setups also show that. I don't know who would be against replacing their LPFP if it meant making another ~30WHP.
