Great review and product! Saw that it also has a tinder storage area near the compass end from other vids. Based on what I've seen, there's also a model which offers a whistle instead of a glass breaker tip. This version may be better for an outdoor application in my opinion. Was also thinking of this model could be easily adapted when in an urban environment by unscrewing the mag rod and using this as a hidden storage area for something else like money or other small items. Versatile product!

Believe based on the threads that the blade/tip portion will thread into the hollow removed from striker rod for easier manipulation.
