@@zaziou711 Please don't ever refer to the Beatles as a "boy band" THAT was never what they were. "Boy Bands" are a group of guys that DON'T PLAY ANY INSTRUMENTS, and do choreographed dance routines while singing. Did you ever see the Beatles doing that? The term "boy band" DIDN'T exist back then. That term came to be with "New Kids On the Block," The Backstreet Boys," "NSYNC," etc. That happened in the late '80s and into the '90s The Beatles were a rock band, or earlier on in England were called a "beat group"

@@patticrichton1135... I agree 💯%. That "phrase" 'Boy Band" was not used when The Beatles were around. No way. I was a 10 yr.old girl and a member of an official Beatles Fan Club in N.J. ... now that was really wild, I must say.

Very clever, pitching the *Let It Be* title cut down to avoid activating the infringement algorithm. I also appreciate being able to put a face to the voice that narrates many of these uploads.

No, because "LET IT BE" has a lot of good stuff in it that was not a part of GET BACK. Peter Jackson knew he would be working on restoring "Let it Be" so he left out some of those really good complete performances OUT of Get Back. I can't wait to see Paul singing in that semi operatic voice for "BESAME MUCHO" it's HILARIOUS. There is a lot of silly moments in it.....Paul doing is ELVIS imitation during a rehearsal of "TWO OF US" and then a complete performance of
"TWO OF US" I can't wait. NOW it becomes complete. EVERYONE should watch "LET IT BE" whether they have seen it years ago or never at all. I can't wait to see it restored to crystal clear clarity. I was around when it was first in the movie theaters back then, and went to see it many times during it's run.

Basically, the original trailer cleaned up and shortened. Looking forward to it and I enjoyed Get Back. But that was just as heavily edited and presenting a distorted version of events as the original film was! We'll never get a balanced film version of the truth, while Yoko is a producer and Paul/Ringo not wanting to rock the boat of the good ship Apple.

@gregoryfilms9405 I highly agree. To me Get Back was revisionist history. Let It Be was The Beatles warts and all. From all the interviews I have heard or seen up until the time of Lennon's untimely death John and George said the cameras focused on Paul. His giving the finger while he pretends to pick his nose spoke volumes.

I saw this when it came out, it was such a shitshow. I left the theatre heartbroken that my favorite band was done. It was such a different group that I saw than the one that burst on the scene on the Ed Sullivan show. I loved the documentary released in 2021 but wondered where the movie I saw went. I don't know if I have the heart to watch it again.

@@BeatlesBible1 You should, there is a lot of them being fun and SILLY in "Let it Be" too!! I saw it in the theaters back then too, and it wasn't all doom and gloom. They were showing them having fun too. I saw it many times and bought it on Beta back in 1979 when you could still buy it in the stores. The quality was not as good as it was in the movie theater. Still, I watched it many times on my Beta player over the years. The complete performance was "Two of Us" was left out of "Get Back" as well as "Let it Be" and the other FUN and goofing around that they did. Crazy NOT to watch it. It goes along nicely with Get Back, PLUS it will sound better and LOOK better than it did originally. You can watch it at LEAST ONCE.

I don't know what you saw but I saw it many times when it was in the theaters the first time around, and in 1979 bought it on Beta, and watched it often through the years. It wasn't a "shitshow" they did a lot of being silly and fooling around in "Let it Be" as well, plus their are complete performances that are not in "Get Back" Just watch it at least once.

There's this narrative now that Let It Be was all negative and that Get Back is the happy version. While Get Back is definitely a better structured because its longer and has a better narrative using the calendar motif, it does show more of the tensions than Let It Be does.
Let It Be has the following: the argument between Paul & George...and that's it. Maybe some shots of the Beatles looking tired and bored.
Get Back: George quitting the band, the remaining 3 Beatles venting their frustrations, Paul & John's lunch conversation, The Beatles talking about how lost they are without Mr. Epstein, the 3 Beatles making awkward conversation with Peter Sellers.
So how does Let It Be make The Beatles look bad?
If anything Let It Be is random with no narrative structure until the Rooftop Concert.
The Beatles hated the film because it was released right when the band broke up, paired with the arguments over Phil Spector's work on the album and the release of Paul's solo album. Had Michael Lindsay-Hogg's original longer cut been released in 1969 there would be a whole conversation surrounding Let It Be.

THANK YOU "kuzunohadectiveagency9851....I TOTALLY AGREE with you and said it SO WELL... I found more fun and silliness done by them, than tension in "Let it Be" THANK YOU AGAIN for putting it SO WELL.

I can't understand WHY a TRAILER advertising "LET IT BE" being on the DISNEY + channel, would be blocked, because they WANT people to SEE this ad, so that they will GET "DISNEY + " if they don't already have it, so they can finally SEE the cleaned up and remastered version of it. There ARE HAPPY PARTS in "Let It Be" a LOT of them, fooling around while working on the songs in the Apple basement studio and also at Twinkenham studios where they are being silly too. It wasn't ALL "dark"

Okay, so it's coming out on Disney later this month which I do not subscribe to. Is there a plan to release it on Blu-ray and maybe even do a limited theatrical release? For first generation Beatles Fans we have waited for a quality remaster (especially the audio track) since the film virtually disappeared in the early eighties after a brief VHS release. I hope they left the actual film intact as we first saw it in 1970.

The beatles were many things but they weren't movies stars. Elvis was a movie star and also a rock star, he was royalty he was the king. No matter how hard they try they were never going to produce a decent movie, they mostly embarrass themselves. For many years they tried to outdo Elvis, to be better than elvis, to dethrone him and crowned themselves the kings of rock and roll. But you can't take what is not rightfully given, you have to earn the crown like elvis did, he paid his dues.
When the lads visited graceland, elvis was the proper host in his castle, he gave them pointers on how to strum the guitar, things the king was very good at. The king got up from his easy chair because he had to go to the throne room, Elvis looks at the lads and says "I need someone to carry my jockstrap", The beatles all jumped up and were elbowing each other, raising there hands to be picked for such a high honor. The king looks over at the lads and says "I don't see anyone here worthy to carry my jockstrap, I guess I have to carry it myself", and walks off.
As great as the beatles were, they were never able to wrestle the crown away from elvis, they werent even worthy to carry his jockstrap. Eventually Paul wrote the song "let it be" , a sad song to describes the beatles struggles to be better than elvis, finally they gaved up on such a hopeless endeavor it was better to just "let it be".
Even though the beatles broke up, john never lost his goal of dethroning the king, he even moved to new york to be closer to his arch nemesis. But by this time john mostly wrote love songs, which were never going to be enough to defeat elvis. His song imagine, was him imagining living in a world without elvis.

Shameless money grab by Disney and the Beatles-Industrial Complex. Horrible, horribly directed film that created a false narrative about the ending of the Beatles. There are maybe two moments of historical value, which indeed are a delight for Beatles fans. Otherwise, it's a bad film by a 4th-rate director who failed directing and editing 101.

As George Harrison had stated before, there had been pain and tensions in the previous album (The White Album) where there was a lot of individuality on Pauls part of playing on his written songs. Plus to the point of him playing his own lead guitar, and blocking any chances to allow George to collaborate with Paul. However , unlike Let It Be, at least on this album they had the luxury to sleep in until 4 in the afternoon make music continuously for 12 hours and finish right til around dawn the next day. This One reason alone , the fact of having to wake up at 8.30 AM preventing them to perform music that it not being their physical best, (which explains the boredom and arguments on who's energetic and who isn't )should be enough for Lennon and Harrison to demand that no one such as their inner circle or the fans not to have anything to do with this project, regardless of it being released in 1970 or 2024. Sadly Both of them are deceased and we are seeing the opposite happening.

There was more pain and somber moments in the "GET BACK SERIES" a LOT more than the ever was in "LET IT BE" which also showed a lot of them having fun and being silly. If you watched every minute of the full 3 parts of "GET BACK" you should have noticed that there was a lot of serious, somber, and George leaving, and John leaving, and Paul, Ringo, Linda and others sitting in a circle wondering what was going to happen now. You can see the heartbreak on Paul's face and looking like he was tearing up....that was NEVER shown in "LET IT BE" Much more depressing parts in "GET BACK" due to it's sheer length, but still more than in "Let It Be"
