Behind every blockbuster is literally hundreds of people that did their job in order to make the film work, yet most won’t get near a credit screen. Thank you all for your hard work . If I’m wrong in that fact then I apologise, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it were true.
It’s incorrect, yes. The night was pitch black after the ship’s lights went out, so those who didn’t report a breakup simply didn’t see the ship’s movements or interpret the sounds as such.

I saw this movie on the big screen in 1997 and again just two days ago at the cinema in 3D. Wow! I remember how impressed I was with how it looked back then, but in 3D you are RIGHT THERE . . . when Rose was looking down at the water from outside the ship before Jack came to rescue her, when the ship hit the iceberg, when the water came crashing down the hallways submerging the man holding the boy while Jack and Rose tried to run from it, when they were poised at the edge of the ship waiting for it to be sucked down, you were right there experiencing it all. The only difference was that you didn't get wet or feel the cold. See it in 3D if you can.

Same here, just now! The montage of everyone working in the office and their hair/glasses/makeup/fashion with that in the background just screams 96/97
I remember it in the movie Down And Out In Beverly Hills in 1986 with Richard Dreyfus, Bette Midler and Nick Nolte but it was on the radio before that.
@@calisongbird Just to clarify, I am aware the song is much older.. but I just hadn't heard it before as I was too young in the 80s, not until I watched this crew video on DVD.
The phrase: You know what I mean James Cameron: *It's free real estate* It's a lot of effort to make a movie like Titanic work. But once the product is completed and praise starts rolling in, it's definitely a small price to pay for salvation. Says a lot about Titanic when the movie is still talked about to this day. Teamwork really does make the dream work.

That bit at 9:00 would never have flown if it wasn’t the star of the movie mocking him. That crew member was announcing important production information. If an extra or someone else lower on the food chain had started mocking him the way Leo did, it would’ve been shut down immediately, and the extra probably dismissed from the production. I can’t even imagine them letting Winslet get away with that. This is a perfect little microcosm of Hollywood power dynamics. Even with Leo, it was cute and funny for just a few seconds, before he started milking the moment for all it was worth… he dragged it out too long.
MyNameHere I agree. I kept waiting for him to stop doing it but he was loving the attention too much, so I skipped past the hilarity. He comes across as unlikeable.
Agreed! A few second is funny but like you said, he was announcing important information that no one probably heard cus they were too focused on Leo. He was acting very childish!
it was artistically done and kept to the real human element. the accident scene really showed you how tragic this was. the film was a hit in the US immediately. patrons visited upto 10x in the theaters

Wow. Looks like everyone had an amazing experience in the making of the movie. An excellent job too. The movie was phenomenal to say the least. RIP to all who perished on that ship.
Lol this is just a compilation of the good parts. Read up on what actually happened. Cast and crew were very unhappy. A lot of them got sick and the shoot ran way past schedule. Kate Winslet famously did an interview in which she said Cameron scared her and that she would never do a movie with him again because of his temper and harsh methods. Cameron agreed he probably traumatized her abit. The behind the scenes are just as edited and carefully curated as the movie itself
@@DHU11 well, as usual they had good experiences and bad, yk, like life. I do agree James Cameron was not a nice person but he did just want a perfect movie (understandable). I had always thought I wouldn't like it so I never went and saw it but then by chance it was on one night at home so for whatever reason I just started watching.... First thing that drew me in was the "story telling" I loved the way that older Rose was taking the crew back and telling them her story.... I saw the crew just totally into "Roses Story" and how they were all just sitting there hanging on every word.. Well that was exactly how I was too and I ended up sitting there watching the whole movie and it is now one of my favorite movies of all time...... The first time I ever heard the song "Once in a lifetime" was on this crew video. I love it, kind of a time capsule of when and how the movie was made.
Same here, just now! The montage of everyone working in the office and their hair/glasses/makeup/fashion with that in the background just screams 96/97
@@poseidonrox95 that song was from 1980…. Talking Heads.
First time I ever heard that song was working at Starbucks lmfao
I remember it in the movie Down And Out In Beverly Hills in 1986 with Richard Dreyfus, Bette Midler and Nick Nolte but it was on the radio before that.
@@calisongbird Just to clarify, I am aware the song is much older.. but I just hadn't heard it before as I was too young in the 80s, not until I watched this crew video on DVD.
The phrase: You know what I mean
James Cameron: *It's free real estate*
It's a lot of effort to make a movie like Titanic work. But once the product is completed and praise starts rolling in, it's definitely a small price to pay for salvation. Says a lot about Titanic when the movie is still talked about to this day. Teamwork really does make the dream work.
3:10 Nice "The Poseidon Adventure" reference. XD
First saw that film when I was 14. Awesome '70s disaster movie.
When the captain turned the wheel slightly 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
To the man speaking at around 4:02 onwards; if your voice is still like that, PLEASE make ASMR videos and let me know about them on here. Your voice is HEAVENLY.
That’s just his mic making him sound that way. Most ASMR is 90% about the mics and the sound engineering.
7:38 That's why I like Billy Zane 😂
The video editing for this is amazing. I cant stop laughing at the silliness of it.
Doubt it, it’s just funny isn’t it. Nobody would have got fired
@@obiwankenobi687 like I said, it was funny for only a few seconds. It got old quick.
What a wonderful video! Both of my former bosses were on the electric crew. Some great tales told back in the day. Thank you for posting this!!!
7:37 perfect hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha
it was artistically done and kept to the real human element. the accident scene really showed you how tragic this was.
the film was a hit in the US immediately. patrons visited upto 10x in the theaters
Most of the multiple visits were from people who just wanted to hear the song by Céline Dion at the end.
@@gandalfthegrey8236 sigh……….. jesus christ. No.
the most epic scene was the freaking sinking.
even today no one listening to celine dion.
I went twice, I have never done that for any other film. :)
They could never make a movie of this class nowadays 😔😔😔😔😔.....
I went AT LEAST 10 times to see it…I was 21 and this was the perfect movie for me at that age and with my nerdy love of history and my girl sense of romance 😂
Dale thank you for posting this it’s very special to me I was on this project for almost a year Costume dept and it was a Once in a life time and a privilege. Thank you again🙏❤️
Philip Maldonado
Key Costumer
My goodness, Philip I am so so glad I did post it then - and from an absolute fan of the film (especially the costumes), I'd like to say THANK YOU! I am friends with lovely Paule Drissi on Facebook, we talk often and she seems so kind, and still has such fond memories of working on the film - so again, thank you for being a part of it!
@@dalemccarthy Paulie did an incredible job beading those dresses please give her my love🙏❤️😊 thanks again Dale feel free to reach out anytime
7:39 haha billy Zane when he flicked his hate off
Jess Playsroblox hat*
Hahaha I loved that
Lol I took that literally 😂 Especially since he played the bad guy
4:02 oldest ASMR ever.
I think this specific video is just highlighting the good parts though and other videos highlight the bad parts of working on set as well, you should’ve just gone to one of those videos because that seems to be what you’re caught up on :).
This will forever be my favorite Behind-the-Scenes video!!! It is Everything!!!
Just bought it on blu ray to add to my collection, saw it several times when it come out in the cinema, truly amazing bit of work.
funfact: the remake of the titanic for the movie is more expensive than the build and the sinking of the titanic together
@8:30 Using light whipped buttercream for Jack's spit
Genius editing 😂 wonderful tribute to the Titanic, great video 🎉 🛟
What a wonderful montage with the Talking Heads in the background.
No I don’t know what you mean.
I must say, it’s rather surreal seeing 90s actors and actresses having fun on sets that look this much like a 1910s ocean liner :)
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are born for this role as Jack & Rose❤
No one:
Not even rose:
Not even Jack:
Not even titanic:
Cameron: yOu kNoW wHaT I mEaN?
1:25 knew instantly she was in love with just that look. Amazing how much can be said with one subtle look.
Yeah it was soo obvious. I wonder how is she and how does she look actually
3:38-3:40
I don’t know if there’s anyway Johnathan Hyde could make that laugh more British
Same! 😂😂
I thought the exact same thing!
They have performed the perfect casting! You know what i mean? :)
REAL ART, talent, engineering.... thank you, this film is genius. So great to see the love and comradery.
16:24 Gloria Stuart 💖
Jack and roses interactions in this me me smile so much!! And holy crap I will never get over jack he’s so handsome!
2:56 had me crying.
Lol Poseidon adventure and a relationship with a ship
Captain Smith will always be King Theoden to me!! 😂
Making a movie is the most insane, most painful, most glorious, most rewarding, most amazing endeavour that anyone can embark upon, and the best part? You don't do it alone.
So fantastic to see this nostalgic moments of the cinema
David here from Sebring Florida and I have been a movie buff for over fifty years and I have never seen anything like this film before, Thanks so much for sharing!
Love the use of the Talking Heads song. 😅
“First we have to remove the ladies beards and mustaches” ha that’s funny!!
2023: ……oh wait……
Fantastic! Love him or hate him, James Cameron is a genius filmmaker!
1:37 the way he looks at her 🥺
They´re so happy together🥺💖
danke,für das tolle video! wie man sehen kann. waren, sind das ganz tolle menschen!
I remember seeing this in 97 + running 4 the last bus home, was so busy + not everyone made it on + 1 woman shouted 'it's just like the Titanic, each man 4 himselves'. We all burst out laughing while trying 2 hussle onto the bus!!
My uncle was Leonardo’s personal assistant and chauffeur throughout the movie. My dad was Kate’s. I got a chance to meet kate , Leo, billy Zane, Gloria Stewart, James Cameron and some of the crew . I actually got the chance to watch the filming on the set with Leo’s mom and grandma. I got to watch the scene 🎬 @9:53 where she uses the ax to free jack!! Amazing experience to be there in person watching all this.
Wow you are very lucky😂
6:08 omg it’s Cora, I was named after her 😢
You’re still my best girl Cora.
titanicbyali and her little sister Rachel who would’ve gotten the part of crying girl (the one Cal saves that was played by twins) but she couldn’t stop crying when they auditioned her :( oh well...
But that’s lovely
That’s so cool 😂😂
Wow that’s cool! I was named after Emma from Friends🤣
So love the behind the scenes!! Would have been so cool to be part of the making of this film!! Thanks for sharing!❤
That Poseidon scene after the captain turning the wheel was so funny!
I remember watching this movie for the first time and thinking " OMG why didn't I want to go see this movie?" I had always thought I wouldn't like it so I never went and saw it but then by chance it was on one night at home so for whatever reason I just started watching.... And actually that's exactly how I ended up watching " The Notebook" too!!! :)
Thanks for the upload. I enjoyed it very much.
You done a good job with a sense of humour and respect. I seen Titanic in 1997 at the cinema, the special effects and CGI were incredible for that era. A film ahead of it's time. It is a frictional love story but it works perfectly because where it's at. The Titanic.
this brings back so much memory when the film was just released....look at the world now, it is a mess. Let me stay in the past, even just for a while...
Good to see Captain Smith smiling
Wow what a production. Love seeing the cast and crew behind the scenes.
Love the post it note at the end saying, “sink me.” 😂
@7:38 - lol Billy Zane recreating dumb and dumber.
2:01 derp :-)
Brilliant movie, Brilliant Director. I love watching outtakes and also how the movie was made. It shows what a monumental task it was...................
Gratitude to all these people who helped make the film that changed my life. Gratitude. you are amazing ❤️
I watched it 9 times in the cinema. I just loved Rose's dresses. I bought many books about Titanic after, even a cookbook!
