The Titanic Museum is a two-story museum shaped like the RMS Titanic. It is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and opened on April 8, 2010. It is built half-scale to the original ship. Similar to the one in Branson, Missouri, the museum holds 400 pre-discovery artifacts in twenty galleries. It is the largest permanent Titanic museum in the world.
The structure is built in a pool to create the illusion of the Titanic at sea, and the 2-hour, self-guided tour is designed to give guests the sensation of being an original passenger on the Titanic's 1912 maiden voyage.
As guests enter, they are given a passenger boarding ticket. On this ticket is the name of an actual Titanic passenger and the class they were traveling. Guests will learn the individual stories of several passengers. In the Titanic Memorial Room, they will find out whether their ticketed passenger survived.
The structure cost $25 million to build.

NEW 2024 Titanic Museum Tour Video ► ua-cam.com/video/qJhjHLJc7cU/v-deo.html
    FAQ's
Why use the Hungarian national Anthem? We use a music service for non-copyrighted music and came across this and it sounded grand & epic to start the video off. It was not labeled as the national anthem. So enjoy all you Hungarians out there stumbling upon this video 😁
Why is this located in Tennessee that has no coastline? Upon selecting a placement for the museum I am sure the draw was to make it centrally accessible to more people. Placing it by the #1 visited national park in the USA wasn't a bad idea IMO.

I absolutely enjoyed watching your video of The Titanic Museum Pigeon Forge. I always been a follower of the Titanic's luxurious history. I've been fascinated by the Titanic since i was a little boy at the age of 8 when my dad first showed me Titanic The 1997 movie. I remember in April of 2001 i went to my first ever Titanic exhibition at The Maryland Science Center in Baltimore where i saw many artifacts recovered from the ocean floor models pictures and the replicated Iceberg that gives one's hand the icy touch of the water temperature 28° it was amazing to see all this including the D Deck entry door that passengers passed through as they boarded the ship and disembarked. I would really love to see this museum ♥️😀

Why didn’t the woman leading the tour mention anything about the other ship, SS Californian, that was closer (less than 20 kilometers away) and who’s crew took no action to assist.
They were close enough to see the rockets the titanic set off as a distress call.

I can appreciate the boy’s experience holding the piece of Titanic rust. A few years ago a scientist who had worked on analyzing the steel used to build the ship gave a lecture at our local library. He brought a rivet and the frame of a porthole that we could touch. I still remember the sense of the connection I felt to the ship and to the people who lived and died that night - a most uncanny experience.

Do you think if they'd had put the ship's engines in reverse and had hit the ice burg dead on they may have lasted longer?
Did you know what J.P.Mogan had read the book on an Ocean Liner hitting an iceburg & sank?
ALSO = Titanic's sister ship Olimpic had a very bad coal fire/damage to the hull which he didn't want to make the proper repair on so he had the name plates switched.
Actually it was the Olimpic that sank that night. Morgan got out of paying for proper repairs AND he also got rid of the men who could stop the brand of banking he wanted, they went down with the ship. He'd told those men he had 'invited' to sail for free that he was sick & wouldn't be sailing with them.
Sounds crazy but that's what really happened.
Poor Titanic actually at the end was taken to be scraped I think it was like 12 yrs or so latter.
The ships that helped save 'Titanic's' folks, they too eventually were sunk during the war.
In the last video I put up is very short & the picture was taken AT ...J.P. Morgan's house in one of the many bathrooms on the upper floor. I didn't see the ghosts with my eyes while taking the picture, in fact I thought it was just a dirty window at first till in editing, the ghosts appeared.
I have it as a screen saver.
I've offten wondered if any 'sprites', from 'Titanic' ever visited Morgan🤔
Also ...if you dout the info is correct, please check out that Irish Dock workers refused to board the ship cause they knew of the fire that Morgan played down, he threatened the men with the loss of their jobs if they spoke about it.
JP MORGAN put much money in 'insuring' ' Titanic'== Gee...I wonder why.🤔

I’m a huge Titanic buff. My heart bleeds for all the lost passengers & for the survivors for such loss & sad memories. My husband & I did indeed invest into having clothing made from the 1912 era & we did redo our wedding vowels on the Grand Staircase on the Titanic in Branson, Mo. Following the ceremony we did do a tour of the ship. The folks we were given cards for just happen to both be survivors, which I was grateful considering we were there to honor the Titanic ship & all crew & passengers. Because we has to go to our reception we had to cut our tour a little short. Therefore, because I Love Tn and the Great Smokey Mountains it is my dream to come tour the Titanic in Pigeon Forge & enjoy the complete tour. Thank you so much for the virtual tour, we hope to do the actually tour in person. God Bless. Sincerely, Mark & Michele.

There's another Titanic museum in Branson Missouri we went there a few years ago and it was amazing. The one in Pigeon forge is owned by the same person.

In 2008, we had a wonderful Titanic Tour brought to Pittsburgh, PA,,,,it was wonderful! But the best part was that I was able to take my grandchildren! My 8 year old grandson at the time, was at first afraid to touch the huge piece of hull.....but I helped him and he’s never forgotten it!

Living just 10 miles from Southampton, England, originally hailing from California, and having spent half my life in the US and half in the UK, my interest in Titanic and other liners of the Golden Age of Transatlantic Travel has been a lifelong affair. Initial expectations for the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge were modest, but as we saw your video tour, I was absolutely stunned at how marvelous it is. The exhibits, presentation and information shared are absolutely superb. Your guide was so informative and so much was learned about the ship's story that I'd never encountered before, including how Wallace Hartley dismissed the band before they reassembled, the significance of Grapes on Oxford Street in Southampton, more details about Isador and Ida Strauss, and the story of Reverend Harper. The quality of the Pigeon Forge museum's focus on Titanic supersedes even that of the Sea City Museum here in Southampton, which focuses heavily on Titanic, along with other liners of the early 20th Century. However, to the Sea City Museum's credit, it has the advantage of a focus on one part of the Titanic's story that's often overlooked in the US - the crew and how devastating their loss was to the city. Out of 1,500 people lost, 559 were from Southampton and part of the crew. Not one family in the city in 1912 was unaffected in some way, at a time when these men were the sole breadwinners, and it really brings the story home on a poignant local level. You and your family did a brilliant job capturing this visit and we thoroughly enjoyed this virtual tour. I will stop for a drink at Grapes this week after seeing this tour. Thank you so much for sharing and our best wishes to you.

What has always puzzled me is why there is so much interest, or even obsession with Titanic in the US when there is comparatively little in the UK. Obviously I know of the exhibition in Belfast and I thought there was something in Southampton, but other than that it is just another bit of history to most people, assuming they even know about it. Whilst I have always been interested, I find myself isolated in this respect, I live a few miles from Bristol. That exhibition in Pigeon Forge is something else, I knew about the one in Branson, Missouri but had no idea it was so expansive for a place not many have even heard of.

@@AdventureIsOutThere It surely must be, Titanic is also of course big business. Incredible, you also have the Francis Browne photo gallery, that novice Jesuit priest who is said to have been offered a passage to NY, but was told by his boss in Dublin by telegraph to get off the ship in Queenstown as he didn`t want him swanning off across the Atlantic. So fortunate that he did.
