      Not to nitpick, but I feel like there was a missed opportunity to Place the scene with Beatrix and Nikki at the end of the movie. Because looking back, reactions to seeing her daughter alive, would actually hold so much more when you think about it. she’s not only shocked to know that her daughter is alive, but now she has something to lose. Which means that she’ll probably be spending the rest of her life with her daughter running away or training her to become just like her, which is something that she tried to stay away from in order to give her a normal life.

      Yeah this logic doesn't quite work because Bill told their daughter she was asleep (not dead) asked presumably took her to the hospital. He also didn't have her killed in the hospital as a mark of respect and to give her the opportunity to come back if she woke up.
      Which is different to Bill who was left to believe she was dead and had to track her down himself afterwards.

    • @melancholy_hillz
      @melancholy_hillz Рік тому +68

      @@GKFC You're forgetting that when Beatrix found out she was pregnant in the motel, an assassin came to kill her but ended up sparing her life after finding out she was pregnant. Once Beatrix found out she was going to be a mother she went into hiding, leaving Bill to think she died that night at the motel.
      This is what Bill is referring to when he says "for the record letting someone think that someone they love is dead when they're not is quite cruel."

    • @GKFC
      @GKFC Рік тому +9

      I haven't forgotten anything, I know that's what Bill is referring.
      What I'm saying is the original comment seems to imply some sort of contradiction here when there wasn't.
      Beatrix deliberately deceived Bill to hide the pregnancy and made him think she was dead.
      Bill didn't hide BB from Beatrix, nor did she try to convince BB that her mother was dead only that she was sleeping.
      So again the logic doesn't really work.

    But once her mind is somewhat settled she immediately shifts gaze to bill giving him a menacing black mamba look like I'm gonna find the most excruciating of all endings for you. Which did happen she ended up exploding his heart physically just like bill played with her heart B.B

  • @jonas3333

    Great scene that captures the moment incredibly well.
    However, the plot gets riddled with holes here.
    1. Did Bill tell ANYone else BB was alive? We know he questions Sophie this at the end of Vol 1. And we know how chatty Sophie can be.
    The other members of the DVAS could have easily saved their own butts with this info.
    and
    2. Beatrix wouldn't have had to go through all of this death & destruction because her baby was still alive.
    Sure, she still has a vengeance plot due to her own pain & the wedding massacre, but it wouldn't have had to be so ...thorough. A sound Ass-kicking would have been sufficient for most of them.
    which brings it to
    3. Now, she knows what she has done and will forever question if she was in the wrong to do it all because her main reason for doing this included BB's life not existing because of them.
    Surely SOMEone knew BB was alive other than Bill & Sophie. Even if it wasn't one of the Squad. There would be tells or people that would speak about it during Beatrix's investigations.

    Did you know that Maya could have been BB in this movie?
    I mean... this movie was filmed around 2002 along with the first part. At that time (2002) Maya was 4 years old, the age that it is supposed that BB has in the movie.
    But considering how worried Uma was when Maya became an actress now.... I don't think she wanted to get her daughter into acting when she was little.
    The fact of thinking how Maya, being Uma's daughter, could be also in fiction makes it even more touching.

    You may not believe this, but I literally met good old 'Grasshopper' David Carradine here when I played an extra on the shoot of 'American Reel' - Not even kidding. It was a quiet and brief encounter, but at least I got to meet him before he passed. He didn't say much and frankly I didn't blame him because on the day of the shooting, he must have been in a pissy mood so he had a small tantrum and ran off stage. This was back in 2000-2001, when I was just about to graduate from High School.
    American Reel was (IS) an independent film that he took part in. Then, I met his agent who was then a woman (who was quite nice) and I pissed off the director (for which I apologized for). I would have to say that this was a spotlight in my life that will never be repeated, though over time I have met a few minor celebreties (namely news anchors) but meeting David takes the top of that list for sure.
