What about a redesign of the Dodge Charger. I mean like if dodge had continued making it 2 door instead of 4
The old charger was so cool. I'm more fan of the old one than the new one
Beshai car designs same. The 1970 is my fav
I agree. That would be dope. Also, SM, I see what you did with the title there. Works for me! 🤘
@@markp9366 I'm going to redesign that car on my channel.I know I can't do as good as Sketch monkey but I'll at least try. You can visit my channel if you want. I'll upload it tomorrow
Beshai car designs that’s awesome. Definitely will check it out and have subbed
what an incredible car, been a dream car for ages
I like most of what you did here but 9ne thing you missed was the hole on the lower rear valence where the original exhaust protrudes. The side pipes are from a Gen 1 Viper and only came in the RT/10. The GTS is a a Gen 2 had rear exit exhaust.
I would like to see a redesign of the C4 Vette
You should modernize a Ferrari 250 GT california spyder
You’re not holding back are you?
Redesign the 1971 Stutz Blackhawk please
Anybody who has completed NFS MW using the viper?
It already was a timeless design. Didn't look outdated at all.
Absolutely agree!
They do need to bring it back tho
The viper was ahead of its time that's forsure
Eh kinda. The restyle doesnt tho ( not referring to the 2012 version)
This model definitely looked outdated
Dodge Viper... a car that looks great despite the 90's "melted cheese" styling :P
I am quite fond of the soft lines and flowing silhouettes of 90s cars.
@@kacasio1 yeah they were the best
It's a timeless design.... just like a Shelby Cobra.... not hard to believe Carroll Shelby was key in the vision of making both cars a thing. If there was an RT/10 version of the 2017 car.... or a GTS and an RT/10 if the car comes back would be awesome.
This take on the car to bring it into 2021 looks really cool
Bruh
Make a redesigned McLaren f1 in a modern fashion
It looked and looks 30 years ahead of its time tho
*mclaren speedtail already has been made*
Ornithomacy
Speedtail looks NOTHING like the F1 👎
@@markp9366 not true at all. Technologically it was 20 years ahead of its time. Design wise? It looks very 90s. It looks dated compared to Enzo or Carrera GT. Compared to modern cars it looks like... a 28 years-old car it is. It looks stunning but it is a dated look.
Noo F1 should not be touched
Would like to see the front redone as well
This is an amazing redesign btw, I lived the factory wide body and everything else (even if it kinda did look like the 2017 viper 😄)
What about a redesign of the cuda
Now that is a car that should have come back
Take a new challenger, change the badge ... you have a Cuda !
How about a Viper mid engine?
That would be cool
there was a concept car done in the 1990s...Ive seen some pictures of a mule but the project didnt move that far. It was basically the viper above with the "greenhouse" moved forward....That V10 is BIG
No
Blasphemy
Yes please but base it on the 2017 model
You always find a way to make out dated, into something beautiful, wish I had your talents
Edit: I'm glad to see that other people want his talents too.
Wow, thanks Karston!
I'm never going to understand people like you. How is stuff that gets old automatically becoming worse? Do we have to automatically like whatever is trendy today? Like if people are into stanced cars do we call non stanced cars outdated at this point? I'm not hating just genuinely wondering and trying to understand my fellow car enthusiasts.
I meant out dated if it were to be made now, so you need to calm down and try to be kind.
@@Thesketchmonkey The top of the rear quarter panel could have .5 inch raise to make a curve more noticeable and less flat. Also the bottom line for the side window opening/rear widow would be slightly higher with less glass showing.
Karston Trask my point stands tho. If a 97 Viper was to be made today it would not have any competition in styling department. Having curves instead of edges doesn’t change the feeling you get when you look at it. The same way Friends may look distinct from shows of today but would still be way ahead of them.
The car itself is still a striking design, even with its 90s bubbly look. I definitely like your updates, but I’m curious to see what it could look like keeping the proportions and further sharpening the design to be more in line with today... perhaps moving up that rear bumper line or maybe smoother it down more? I love the new tail lamp design... it’s very Dodge.
0:39 never heard about 911?
new 911 wheelbase grew substantially in latest model... but valid point :)
@@automotiverenderings the new 911 looks like a sports car and handles like an original pontiac gto
I remember playing GT-5 Prologue while driving the viper and "Daiki Kasho-Shadows of our past or Place in this world" playing in the background.
Damn i want this car. i remember back when it was my favorite. now im taking my license imagine driving one of these as a first car. what a dream
The car he is redesigning is my dads you can see it on his youtube channel jusfast2220 also had a twin turbo
Could you do the mercury cougar based on the mustang please
Nice! A taillight re-design!
2013 Viper taillights
Ya know...sometimes it seems like he takes the easy way out: unless the back end was highly controversial or whatever...its not the main view car lovers are looking to see. The Viper was pretty much perfect already so unless you were gonna give it a "AC COBRA" type of back end or sumn....eh. The redesign of the Crown Vic....interesting & extensive...gorgeous too.
No, it doesn't look like a dodge anymore.
Why don't you redesign the Bugatti eb112? I guess you didn't even know that existed! Great Work btw
can you make morden cars in old style ??? if you can, then made a lamborghini huracan of 90s
Actually I also use to redesign cars but not on Photoshop , I do it on paper . This is a video of me REDESIGNING a Lamborghini Gallardo
ua-cam.com/video/SlTt83ii3_I/v-deo.html
Can u redesign the 90s firebird. My dad has one and I love that car
The Viper is (one) my favorite Dodge
Me too, it's really cool
Honestly, that redesign is pretty awful in my opinion. The last model was modernized WAAAY better.
You can see how much Lighning McQueen is a hybrid between a Corvette and a Viper.
Is there a place I can download your redesigns and use them as wallpapers
Rakeem Farooq I also wanna know that
What about redesign of the front?
We need a modern 1975 caddy eldorado convertible
I'd love to see your take on modernizing the 98-02 Fbody Trans Am. Make it as if it came out in 2021. Not like the Trans Ams that are based off the Camaro alpha platform, but a true redesign of the 4th gen T/A.
Also I would love to see a complete overhaul of the G6 GXP street edition coupe. The spoiler and front fascia are atrocious, and definitely should be revised.
This car has never been an underdog, it’s just too powerful for most, and that’s why it didn’t get to demonstrate it’s full potential.
Bring back the Viper 🥺😢 btw love your redesign. Looks awesome
My dad had one BTW the car sketch monkey is redesigning is my y dads i have proof you can see it on his youtube channel on jusfast2220 also has a twin turbo
Citroen DS redesign please
The classic from the '60s? It was called "frog mouth", in Portugal
you can redesign a 1992 escort cosworth?
i''l be honest here, sketchmonkey, i've watched 3 video's of you redesingning.
No. You overdo, you do wrong.
Nick Dino I disagree but I respect your opinion
Do a front view of the viper!!!
That spoiler is as ugly as homemade sin. Not your fault, just the ugliest spoiler I've ever seen...
Wait people actually dislike ducktails? Oh, well I guess people have their own opinions.
redesign the renault 4l for a 2020 design
Truly one of my favourite redesigns that you’ve done so far. If you look closely, my pfp is my own redesign of the viper (which is no where near as good as yours lolol)
Unpopular opinion: giving something thin LED lights isnt a re-design lol. Still good video.
My thoughts exactly, I was expecting more, maybe instead of using Photoshop to play around a picture, he could just draw some ideas from zero?
Thanks for redesigning my dream car. You did a stellar job 👍
This is "Rayo Mcqueen"
Dodge Viper is one of the best American supercars!
100% agree.
PLEASE DO THE COPPERHEAD NEXT
The most beautiful car everyone has forgotten about
probably because it killed those who cared about it.
I know if Stellantis ever redesign the viper it would be a ev I made a post on Reddit asking if Dodge make the viper again what do you wish they ADD I said put a supercharger on it and add a automatic transmission option and I literally got downvoted so bad it was not funny like that is my opinion on what I want them to do
My first car was a 1978 Chevy Monza Spyder which has never left my mind. It was designed as a baby Camaro, coming through Chevy Nova heritage. As a Compact 2+2 Hatch car it would be an ideal entry into today's market for Classic Black and Gold were top sellers, but so many cool take son the graphics packages were available. The 4 spoke with chrome ring were an icon of it without dismissing the incredible Spyder (Pontiac Firebird-esque) badging everywhere! What if Chevy had a ~$24k compact SUV hatch like a Subaru Crosstrek (Best selling in the segment) today. Steering away to NOT be an off-road vehicle, but more practical and modern. What is the 2021 Chevy Monza Spyder?

If I were CEO of Dodge, id make a Viper line up. Dodge Viper GTS. It would have a 6.4L V8. Dodge Viper SRT. it would have a V10. Dodge Viper SRT Serpent. (In reference to the Snake from Hell) it would have a Super Chargeed V10. All 3 models will have both a automatic and Manuel option. the Automatic on the 6.4 would use the ol' ZF8, the automatics on the SRTs would be a twin clutch with big column mounted flappy paddles.
The viper design had a logical progression from a convertible to a fastback
1991-95 a convertible that had a really melted look
1996-2002 a fastback with a somewhat melted look
2002-2010 a fastback with a more angular look
2013-2017 a angular fastback with a call back to the 1990's
TheSketchMonkey can you do a redesign of the Volvo 122 Amazon in today’s standards or the p1800. Your choice.
Hey sketchmonkey, I think it would be cool to do a new video idea at least one time: do the opposite of your usual exercise. Take a brand new car and redesign it to have 90’s or 80’s styling. For example keep the proportions of a modern mclaren and attempt to “80’s-fy” it
Jaguar E-TYPE a four door sedan= jag e-type front with 60s low height 4 door sedanbody with AC COBRA Daytona rear end. it would hell of car will you try it. or anyone
Actually liked the 2017 Viper for not following the super small light everything over aggressive trend EVERYONE follows these days.
Nice and fun!
Another approach would be to redesign a 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT into a 2021 Dodge Viper. Wouldn't that be cool :-)
I love you vids!!! I would love to see you do a few iconical European aldies, Volvo Amazone, Citroën DS or Traction Avant?
Could you do a redesign of the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP or the 2005 Bonneville GTP: one of Pontiac's little known performance heroes?
STICK the 1st GEN NOSE to the Last GEN VIPER !!!
the LAST GEN VIPER HEAD LIGHTS - EH !!!!
1st Gen Much Better
This really didn't do much... what a waste of time.... you still have to make that back end in 2 or maybe 3 pieces. You didn't think about that did you?...... like an architect you can draw a pretty picture but any engineer will tell you its not going to work..... next time think of it as the body shop guy replacing it and how many body parts it would take to fix that back end......pretty but no
I see you couldn't change too much, shows that the car was pretty much perfect to begin with. You did an awesome job on updating, for kicks should try on making it a mid engine car, see how that would look. Definitely change the look.
cool kind of like a daytona at the back, but nice taillight design, i think the exhaust tip should be more forward though still on the side like in the GT3 cars. totally impressed you mentioned and notice the seating position, ive raced gen 4 viper competition coupes and i remember not being able to hit apexes in corners properly, initially the viper is weird, because you sit on the rear wheels, and the front wheel axles are not where you expect, i was turning in early late because of this and going over the kerbs till i learned to adjust turn in to accommodate for it...anyway nice design..
As a Viper fanatic, I love what you did with the back of the car but I don’t know about the body kit sides in the back. You truly gave this car a great fresh look. I’m going to see if you did any videos about the third generation Corvette.
I own a 1996.... tho it seems it was only half finished by the factory. I cant wait for the revival and hotrodders start to fill in the gaps the factory left (interior, carbon fiber wheels, chassis stiffening and other bits of improvement).
It'd be really cool to see the Dodge Viper come back as a mid-engine competitor to the C8 as something much more angular with a lot of that current Dodge design language that's been derived from the Charger and Challenger...
Mid-Engined Viper ?
I was never into american cars or muscle cars, but the Viper was different. It has just the right combination of muscle and sleek lines. It still looks good 30 years on.
Yoo i just subscribed to your chanel man. Was wondering if you could re-design the lincoln ls. Would love to see that re-design. Thank you men stay up.
Nice try dude but there's probably about half dozen design studio guys drawing up mid engine Viper concepts at FCA as we speak.
You actually started with a slightly odd image. The GTS never had side pipes. That’s why there’s a big hole in the rear valance where the exhaust tips would have stuck out.
Do the front.
I heard the new dodge vipers after the 2016 models are getting rid of the v-10 and changing to a v-8 or something like that....sad
I am going to insist on this idea again, as someone who wants to become a car designer, and a casual gamer I can't see gta 5 cars because they are all wrong, I think it would be fun if you redesigned them, I know there are so many legendary cars worthy of a video but I think that this content will attract a younger audience to car design, or design in general.
The perhaps sexiest looking car of the 90's.
Please do the second and third sexiest cars: 2002 Chevrolet Camaro and MKII Saab 900.
I want redesing Nissan Hardbody
I want redesing Nissan Hardbody
I want redesing Nissan Hardbody
I want redesing Nissan Hardbody
Now we have stuck with the same proportions can we have a mid engine viper I'd love to see how that would look
Well, you kinda forgot that the 2017 model actually moved the side vents more to the front and also made them way bigger too.
C1 Corvette?
This car is spicy, from when it originated up until now, it's a beautiful car
Why would you Camaro/Corvette taillights on the Viper. I know I could do better.
Do the redesign of the Holden Commodore (not the rebadged Opel Insignia), Ute, and Caprice
I think they ruined the Viper when they made the headlights vertical. It's the only thing I hate about the R35 gtrs as well.
Yeah you really missed the target on this one. But giving you a thumbs up for your awesome talent.......
Modernize the 1965 mustang
I think the Viper already has been redesigned like that in 2012-2013.
You should do car designs for companies
Just like how Pinninfarina did for Ferrari before
Hey can you do a 2020 version of the Dodge Avenger and maybe say they came out with a hellcat avenger
The Viper is definitely not only one of the best American cars but it’s certainly the most American car ever made!
Would love to drive one someday!
Problem with viper has always been cramped interior. No complaints on exterior.
The viper is probably a perfect car, not that is better that every other car but it has everything it needs and nothing feels out of place in terms of design
not a fan. I like your channel but as a fan of the original viper since I was a child, I dont think you did it right here
I've read that they were going to bring back the Viper eventually but it'll be with a V8..
I would like to see redesign of Daewoo Lanos, in fact it was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro)
Nice re design , woukd look great on a Corvette Stingray with that sharp belt line 👍
