what would a t50 gtr (f1 gtr) look like?
I'm going to be weird and say that 90's Ferraris had the best fronts. I mean, just look at the 550/575.
you can redesign the front like 458, 488, f8 or sf90, I don't know about the output, but I like this dynamic type of design.
When you do the front I hope you fix the front over hang. It's way too large on all 80s super cars and it is not on modern ones.
Can we take a moment and realise the “risk” he is taking by redesigning such a iconic car. And then creating this masterpiece. Congrats!
What risk is he taking exactly? He has no executives to please, he is just drawing cars for fun. Worst thing that can happen is some people might think it's a bit meh. 🤷🏼♂️

it's risky^^ he managed it well. to dark at the back put looks smooth.
Ferrari took that risk and made the F50 but idk man the box is the right shape for me.

exhaust should've stayed in the center because it's quite a distinctive treat of the car, but great job overall!

Centre exhausts could have been fitted but I think and bear with me, its just my opinion, would have maybe ruined the design of the car! I think it would have made the car look slightly older

Also its mostly - symbol - of cool/awesome car,look on history or on modern cars how many have that.
Jaguar E type,Lexus LFA,Mercedes AMG GT R,Diablo,McLaren F1,Koenigsegg One:1,Zonda F or any Pagani..

Isn‘t the F50 basically a more smooth version of the F40?
Well, the F50 was a completely different car, in my view this concept is to the original F40 what the 512TR was to the Testarossa...
@@frankgile1996 Well yes it is a different car, but you can clearly see them take design elements from the F40 and make them more smooth and less angular, like the big rear spoiler and the line around the car. They changed the line to a slight angle to make it more dynamic. It was a new design, but the design lineage is pretty clear. Therefore I think it works better as a redesign than this one, which feels odd in places, especially the roof line and the back side. The f50 has a similar back side to the f40, but more rounded and refined. I love the f40, it will always be my favorite (had a huge poster of it over my bed as a kid) but this redesign does not really work for me.
More smooth only in appearance. In fact, F50 is, still today, the only road car directly derived from Formula One. His engine is a real F1 V12 (the one used in the Ferrari 640, driven by Nigel Mansell and Gerhard Berger in 1989 championship).

As I have read, the difference bwteewn the two cars was that the F-50 was /is more civilized. The 40 was made in a hurry and was/is just a track ready car that was barely legal to drive on the street. The 50 was built as a road car that was almost track ready.

Honestly, that W16 Volkswagen looks like riced Golf. Only one thing they didn't screwed up: cheese graters behind side windows.
@@kundasemkundatam7461 like a riced Golf? It looks literally like a modern EB110, the EB wasn't the most beautiful, the Centodieci is also not a beauty. When we go with that logic the Huracan is just a riced R8
@@DefinitelyNotEmma Well, EB110 was not really beautiful (original protype by Marcello Gandini looks much better) but Centodieci is absurd, as if it was made by 18 yo guy with fresh papers and brain of child. It looks so bad that even production EB110 looks beautiful when being compared to it. That's why I say that it looks like riced Golf.
And Huracán cannot be riced R8. R8 started as tamed down knock-off of Gallardo and continued as knock-off of Huracán.

@@kundasemkundatam7461 the thing is, you say the design of the Centodieci is riced, it lacks the elegance of the Chiron I guess. But as I said by that logic every Lamborghini is a riced VW/Audi. Unlike the R8 they lack any subtlety or elegance, they're loud and vulgar which is the point of a Lamborghini. Same goes for the the Centodieci, it's also shouty and controversial. Like all Lamborghinis it's not meant to be beautiful nor subtle or mature, it's meant to stand out, in a good or bad way. If you own a Centodieci/Lamborghini you want everybody to know it, which is easily achievable when they look so messy as they do. Whereas cars like an R8, 911 or DB11 blend easier on, they're the ultimate understatement, very subtle and mature.
Honestly can't fault this redesign, love it, just love it! Even the controversial diffuser and pipes, I really think these are so modern that they add at least 60% to the 'modern look' of the car.
Still waiting for a rear end redesign of another ICON, the gen 1 Honda Insight.

honestly? your design is good. but the original was, is, and always be better. There is no way to improve the F40.

@@flare.productions many retro and old school (like the old Supra) cars have these color of wheels and usually very thick spokes. I prefer the two tone modern wheels over these.

Exhaust pipes really need be in midlle and more simple.
Personally, the only feature I dislike on say the 458, is the centered, multi-diameter pipes...

Great job! Have you considered the possibility of having a lower active spoiler, flatter as newer cars? I bring that up because to me the square spoiler does not fit with the new lower part.

Nearly perfect! I would’ve liked to see the iconic center exhaust remain for the redesign, though. That rear splitter even seemed to be shaped well for it. Can’t wait for the front view!

What I would change in your design are making the exhausts centered again
making the blocky rear end figure to follow the bodyline of the spoiler a bit
Adding curvature to the fron aerodynamic gap thing
Modernize the rear window loovers
Other than these, it is pretty awesome

Love your take on one of my favourite Ferrari's ever! I think the back end where the tail lights and spoiler are would be nice with less sharp lines, but other than that, it's beautiful!

The F40 was and is the only Ferrari I like, I was never a huge fan of Italian cars especially newer ones. But cars like the F40, Miura or Gallardo have a certain beauty in their simplicity.

I like the newer Ferraris a lot though they had a bland time around the "Maranello, 360 Modena and 430 scuderia" period. The newest ones look really beautiful to me. Especially the GTC4 Lusso, the 488, the SF90 Stradale and I even like the F8 Biturbo a lot.
The only new Lambo that I really find beautiful is the Huracan. The rest is either overstyled or just weird. They are cool cars but not beautiful.

I always appreciate your work, TheSketchMonkey! I'm sure you've seen it, but Samir Sadikhov made a render in 2017 which does a REALLY good job of picking up modern Ferrari design elements and combining them with the original F40 design. It's easily the best modernisation I've seen of such an iconic car. If anyone is keen to see it, search "F 4T CONCEPT". 😎
We all know nothing can beat the original F40 design, but you knew that too and rescected the icon she is without pretending to make it better and i really appreciate this.
About the job you done i think it suits your idea cause it still is a F40 without any "crazy makeover", just the little touches that makes the difference.
Maybe you should have kept the exhaust central cause is a really distinctive feature of the f40, but for everything else i approve all

I'm definatly a purist, so I DO believe the F40 is for all intents and purposes a perfect car in design and performance, however, I still wanna give this particular Ferrari an appropriate and in my opinion a reasonable name.
I dub THIS Ferrari, the Ferrari SF4021-12.
So to explain the name
The SF stands for Scuderia Ferrari,
The 40 is taken from the F40,
The 21 is morso the number relative to that particular models year it was manufactured, so the SF4020 would mean it was the remake of the Ferrari F40 made in 2020, the SF4021 means it was the remake of the Ferrari F40 made in 2021, etc.
This I feel makes sense, as some collectirs might want one from a specific year, and the model number makes it easy for a collector and/or enthusiast to find the model of Ferrari they prefer.
The 12 is what I believe the cylinder count for all these Ferrari F40 Remakes should have, A person with knowledge on car engine specifics could note the specific details of this 12 cylinder engine.

As a charter member of the "F40 is the GOAT" club, I really do like this update. I think that with the changes you made to the rest of the car it would have been okay to soften the very rectangular wing and taillight section. Perhaps made a slight nod to the F50. But overall great job updating the GOAT!

Everything is interesting for a new look. I like to more dynamic like 458, 488, f8, sf90 and also new design rims. I love that last output and it's totally awesome. A bigger rim than before, dynamic windows, front and rear lower design, red light, new door design everything is awesome and really love the redesign.
No man should have this much power with photoshop!

@SketchTheMonkey the F40 that you draw is like a concept
It's nice. However, I have several observations you could've done: the graphics for a modern F40 side vents already exist in the Ferrari 488, which happens to be a Twin Turbo V8 car just like the F40. The beginning of the rear tail can be integrated into the edge of such side vent and the lines for the bottom of the car could've been parallel to the tail to emphazise the wedges of the F40. Other than that, it's a nice redesign.
Its so cool, but i dont like the 2 exhaust pipes under the 2 tail light. Anyway i love it

I will always prefer the F50 over the F40. Nothing like an N/A engine over a turbo engine for raw performance.

It’s the modernised mclaren f1, the headlights just seem to look a little too gta-esque

THIS MASTERPRICE CAN'T BE MODERNIZED, IS JUST PERFECT HOW IT IS EVERY THING CHANGED WOULD BE SOMETHING WRONG.
The redesign is nice and all but don't you think that you would also have to get rid of the massive horizontal panel gap that stretches across the whole car
He took an enormous risk, but in the end it turned out a great job respecting the original car, which a lot of people defines as "The Ferrari" or "The Car".
In the F40 everything was made only to be functional: air intakes was NACA profiles proved to be the best option for performance and I'm sure central exhausts had a technical advantage too
I think it´s a great project, the couple of things that I would touch on the redesign are; The hip line I would it made it more pronounced, also the rear wing 75 degree and for last, in the backside maybe more organic as the rest of the intervention. Never the less is the greatest redesign of the F40 that I´ve seen.

I like the what you did in the middle portion of the car 100%, I feel like that little badge doesnt have a place in modern cars tho... Im not a big fan of the back portion but the modern lights are a feature that looks awesome.. and lastly I think the ride height is ever so slightly high.. Really enjoyed seeing it all come together, great vision.. Love the channel and you are a very talented artist!
What is the program You use?
NACA ducts on the sides are the most efficient flat surface intakes out there, and are still part of high speed aircraft produced today because of the simple and highly efficient design.
Saturn SKY, Opel GT, Front end redesign, you can edit it into SLS Black Series, get familiar with that car pls.
