Yeah, not many games have a Campaign mode. Where each territory/battle affects the server and each turn gives new weapons or strategies for factions. That uses similar mechanics as Battlefield Commander mode.
@@420jimihendrix69 dude most of the mega servers are full of bots. And the rest of the servers are mostly full of low levels. The games basically dead. The old player base is nearly completely gone and the game is no longer supported.
Last time I played it was Moon Runes vs Noodles trying to vote kick each other for the slightest upset or unintentional TK from a dead nade or a bad bounce lol Hold grenade run into their lines, pop spoon, stand near closest enemy. That is what I like to call a pro gamer move.
I think it's interesting how the M16 with 30 round mags is nearly an easter egg. You can't get it at the training level, can't get it on any base or modded maps to my knowledge. You can only get it at the very end of the campaign and it's really fun to spray with it. A nice cope when all you have left is the ARVN.
I have every good memories with this game, i remember dreaming for it and watching videos, once i bought it, it was the best day of my life, This game has always got me on good mood and seeing this game die breaks me up.
Yep, still good. Just I get wrecked by people who have been playing way too long and know the maps very well so it gets frustrating. You have to play like it's for real and be super sneaky, use tactics, cover, and most of all.. work with your damn squad to complete an objective.
Might hop on RS2 tomorrow night. Been too long since I've played this game with any regularity. I remember seeing pre-release gameplay on UA-cam in 2017 and thinking, "Man, this game looks awesome!" I didn't have a gaming PC until 2020 though, but I remembered that game and started playing it, and really got into it in 2021. Undoubtedly one of my top 5 games.
I understand that maybe it's impossible but I wish that a Vietnam became popular again and we could get the same feeling as when the game was filled with players.

the double barrel shotgun with buckshot is possibly the best weapon in the game imo. it's a one-shot kill at like 200 meters and you barely have to aim
Lost opportunity... When you were behind VC should've used voice line. Undescribable feeling of joy when you get to enemy from behind and random phrase is "i can smell you from here charlie" while you equip your bayonet

Servers so hit or miss now. Usually play VC in the american servers. you start rolling GIs in campaign i guarantee they'll start cheating, happened 3 nights in a row now. Think i might quit and just let the good memories be
Im trying to get a group going to play on my server. Works for Windows and Linux users and any cheaters will get banned. But yeah before I create my own bot plugin and maps, need players to fill it up and have some fun.
I wanted this game since 2019 and i got it in 2023 and this game is worth it, i love playing it even when the playerbase is not as big as it was.

its not dead at all brother theres like 10+ full servers as well as multiple megaservers completely full at any given time

Are PR gaming server any good I mean I heard that mega server are like the devil with virus and other stuff but what about PR Gaming?
They ain't a MegaServer. They do have a plugin to help fix VoIP that has been broken by Epic Games.
I pretty much always play on PR Servers and I think that they are good
PR gaming is not megaservers. They have plugins to help with the VoIP issue caused by the EpicGames update.
If the devs made it cross play with console then I’m sure it would still be updated.
