Great video, your granddad would love your channel. Most people don’t know the different types of mangroves

He was quite a guy I just wish I would’ve had a GoPro around to get more of him fishing. At least I got to get my first video with him one of these days. I’ll get back in the woods and show everybody a white mangrove tree.

My son’s pb red, my pb snook and my fiancés pb snook were all caught there. It’s one of my favorite spots when I had my boat. I’ve been wanting to make the trip in my kayak soon! Great video!

    Awesome!!!
That 3 story railroad truss building is what we used to climb up on and jump off of into the intercoastal there and swim when i was in high-school!!!
    I haven't seen that in over 30yrs!!
Thank you for posting these! I get to see old stomping grounds i dont get to anymore!

Dude, that sounds awesome. I never thought of it. I should do it and make a short video lol. What did they use that for?

@@CharlotteHarborFisherman when trains went to the island that was the old tenders house to keep the intercoastal open for boats into and out of the harbor.
There used to be a swing (carousel) bridge that could pivot out of the way or close and connect the track so trains could supply the island.
It's been removed now. If I can find them, I have a few old books that show Charlotte Harbor and it's history.
Kings Hwy was an old cattle trail thar was used to move beef straight down from Arcadia onto paddle boats before, during and after the Civil War.
Long before Texas was ever know for cattle (which all came from Mexico) Florida was the king of Beef to America until around the 1880's.
