Warm Water Brings in the Food Chain
Переглядів 531День тому
Lemon or Nurse Shark? Warm water gets the food chain going from plankton to pilchards and all the predators that like to eat them. You'll always see something on the bay this time of year as the large sharks and southern sting rays come in from the gulf. Glad I wasn't wade fishing today! Nice Snook video, and good theory! One of the reasons the Spooltek was invented was to get the weight away from the hook to eliminate that leverage you referred to. Great content as always!

      @@CharlotteHarborFisherman Brian, Do you think there is a big difference between the Z-Man 3.5" Pearl White Paddle Tail and the Pearl Lil John?

    • @CharlotteHarborFisherman
      @CharlotteHarborFisherman 4 дні тому

      @@snookguy4122 yes I’d use the paddle tail early morning and then switch to the lil John. Either watermelon or the white. The lil John gets down deeper and gets more of a reactionary strike. Takes a little time to learn it but once you do it’s killer. Try one all day for a few trips and see what you think.

    • @CharlotteHarborFisherman
      @CharlotteHarborFisherman 4 дні тому

      Also, the little John color I’m using is not pearl it’s white and it glows in the dark so I think it might show a little better in the darker deeper water that color and then the darker watermelon is all you need.

    My thoughts are snook have a very thin skin in there mouth between lower and upper jaw, when we hook up on that skin , it rips that skin making a large hole for hook too dislodge. love your vids man.

    • @CharlotteHarborFisherman
      @CharlotteHarborFisherman 4 дні тому

      I appreciate that and I agree about the soft mouth. I caught a little snook with a tear in his mouth, and when I stuck my hand in there to lip him, my thumb poked through his bottom jaw.

      I haven’t been able to land one yet cause I’m usually using a 2500 reel and a medium light rod but I’ve hooked a couple 40” snook on both the inside and outside. Biggest I landed was 38”, hard to tell when they’re on the water but they definitely looked bigger. The ones that get away always are 😂
