One small caveat. Jealousy involves two people plus another person, place, or thing; not necessarily a third person. Lots of spouses, for instance, are jealous of their partner being apparently more invested in a hobby than they are with them. I think it's rooted in possessiveness and a need to be seen as being of paramount importance to the jealous party.
I think jealousy stems from a good intent of wanting to be better and level up in life. Envy is an evil way of wanting what others have only to yourself at the expense of the other person losing it. It’s like a sport player if you are jealous you have good sportsmanship if you are operating from the spirit of envy towards others you are a toxic loser who doesn’t accept defeat in order to progress and get better in life you have to fail and fall many times but it’s up to you if you want to rise up and try again. Not with a narcissist through because their games is not fair.
See I thought the difference between jealousy and envy was positive and negative emotions and thoughts .. i thought envy was positive and jealousy was negative.. So what would be envying somebody in a positive way as in you look up to them they inspire you they're motivating you to set goals to reach that level of hierarchy or work harder to get what other said person has that they desired
I will give an example of situation, - my friends are on holiday in beautiful place, can I send a message to them " I'm jealous " or better would be " I'm envious"?
A very articulate, intelligent young man who makes his points clearly.

Thank you for helping me with an argument 😂
I envy your intelligence.
A lot of people use jealousy instead of envy, and when I tell them, I even get insulted. XD well, they can keep being ignorant and prsumptuous.

Jealousy is a good thing, Envy is a sin
Reminds me of an ex or 2.

envious of course. You cant be jealous of something, just someone
@@skurinski you can't be jealous of something you don't have
Neither, it’s your friend, be happy for them 😀
Better to tell them you're inspired by them.
