@@punchindun ? I know they do in Sepilok but you have to wait a very long time to get a place, maybe 1 year. Do you have volunteer places?
@@annettemonkey1998 yes just check up their websites. Here are the list orangutan sanctuary in indonesia. BOSF, IAR, OFI, FOUR PAWS, COP (Kalimantan). SOCP (Sumatra).

These orangutan are my favorite primate. They are so loving and playful and kind. They act so much like human babies in almost everything they do. I love these little apes. I feel like cuddling one or all of them. They need so much love and attention because they don't have Thier moms. To give it to them. They are all so precious and beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am a prime example of someone who is not a morning person. But I would change that and train myself to work with those animals.
If those animals were abandoned by their mother, we can’t really help that. But if they are, like many other exotic species because their moms were poached, I’d give up my life stop poachers.

They will learn at forest school. Look for other videos from this channel or BOS Foundation channel. There are videos of them learning.

It's ongoing. I believe the mothers and other orangutans are being killed during deforestation for Palm oil farms. Then if lucky, the surviving orangutans and babies end up here and wind up re released in a protected area of the Borneo rainforest. I'm not sure what steps (if any) the government over there is to stop the deforestation, however, this will continue as long as they continue to chop down the rainforest.

great work looking after them wonderful team. but really there should be little to no orphans as they should be with their mothers and families in their jungle home. the deforestation must stop. eco tourism will provide income if you look after the jungle, orangs and other wildlife.

This is chaos, unnatural to the development of the orangutan, and I've seen schools in Borneo do much better than this....and this is the one you're showing us? This should be categorised as abuse, and they should not be given publicity. There are other schools in Borneo, much more well known, where the caretakers actually know how to care for these animals. For shame, Smithsonian!!
