(alu. chassis for the 6s). Happy new year. PL
They are definitely the toughest plastic RTR's you will find!! Just the way they are laid out and balanced is amazing! I say for what they are, being lighter weight they are just about as tough. Of course the drivetrain in the 6s rigs will be stronger bc of steel gears and shafts. But for $299, you can't beat it!!😎👊💪🤟🤟
😂Well it's about a 8 minute drive from the bash spot but close enough!! It is a PERFECT speed run rd. I used to run my Slash there. Got 122mph. Might work on getting this Typhon up to some speed!😨😁💪👊🤟🤟
Great bash! The only problems with this buggy seem to be the arms breaking and rocks getting stuck in the steering rack. Looks like a fairly lite buggy - some aluminum arms could balance the weight/durablility😁
Yeah the arm was the first thing to give but it was a fairly hard landing on probably a rock. I think its balanced perfectly and is pretty tough being all plastic. She was taking the airs my big trucks do!😱😂Thanks for watching bro!😎👊💪🤟🤟
@@RCDUDE81 i noticed in some of the vids for this that when it lands a jump flat, it tends to bounce from being light - a tad bit of weight could help. Typical 1/8 buggies are heavy - the weight sweet spot is between this typhon and common 1/8 buggies. also wondering how the tire wear is with no center diff and less torque from a 1/10 brushless system. I love my RC8.2e, but it eats tires......
Thanks!👊 Yeah the Talion is super fast on 6s. I suppose you could run 4s at the track and be fine. The 3s Typhon would be fun on track but I see it as more of a basher. I'm sure it would do well if you tuned it a little have good skills!
Those are 2.8 Proline Trenchers with 17mm wheel hex. Great tire! I use these on the Big Rock as well. They hook up great and add a little more cushion for bigger jumps. 😎👊💪🤘🤘
Wow an old vid! But YES, you want chassis slap. Otherwise shocks, towers, arms etc are compromised! You want good shock absorption and slow rebound after the chassis slap.
Question bro. I have a new Granite 3s blx. I know it's the same platform just shorter than This one you got. My question is what's your slipper set to Mine out of the box had no lock tight on the slipper screw and it just come all the way loose 2 plus turns after I would run one 3s pack. So I tighten up to 3/4 then it backed out again. So I did the lock tight at this point I went to 1/2 turn out with lock tight on the slipper screw. Even on the end of that screw where it sits up beside the end of the driveshaft where they meet with that small driveshaft connector. Finally it's staying put. What I really want to know is the set being at 1/2 turns out is that to tight for this truck. Any help is awesome help. Thanks bro. ❤️👊😎
I had the same problem with my Big Rock! Had to use a generous amount of loctite to hold it in. I always run my slippers all the way tight and about a half turn out. You should be good! Pretty good setting for hooking up good but not locking her up totally!

Well the 6s line is on another whole scale. Imo the Granite 4x4 blx is a comparable to the 3s Typhon. More of a stunt truck and really durable! The 4s Outcast is fun but is a wheelie machine!🤣A little hard to hold down power and keep control. All up to personal taste really.👌The 6s is much faster and tougher and a lot more hop up options. A little easier to control than the 4s.😎🤘
Awesome! I just turned up the punch level to max punch 5. It's the second variable in the ESC settings. Just gives it a little more off the line punch. How fast the power feeds into the ESC.😎👊

Dont pay more than $75 per battery. Get a smart battery. At hobby stores they will charge at least double. Two 3s batteries is what i do. The 6s battery is going to be really fat and high priced too. It just depends on what you are using it in and how much room you have for your batteries. I have an hpi savage flux hp, its 6s. I use two 3s batteries

(alu. chassis for the 6s).
But for $299, you can't beat it!!😎👊💪🤟🤟
Who makes the 4 ramps you used? been looking for some that launch like that.
I got those from discountramps.com but they discontinued them😝
Ok yes this is my next rc because of this video 😁
We wish you a merry backflip We wish you a merry backflip We wish you a merry backflip and a happy new gearrrrrrr the typhons we bring with 3s too
Wow that takes some high air, what wheels and tires are these?
These are Proline 2.8 Trenchers with a 17mm hex.
Did those trenches fit on with no problems??
Yessir. Direct fit as long as they are 17mm hex rims.😎👊
You even have a insane speed run road next to your bash spot. Getting jealous now😂😂😂 epic bashing bro👍👊
😂Well it's about a 8 minute drive from the bash spot but close enough!! It is a PERFECT speed run rd. I used to run my Slash there. Got 122mph. Might work on getting this Typhon up to some speed!😨😁💪👊🤟🤟
Just got my 3s Typhon brother and installed a 20t pinion and she rips ! Also installed a set of the RPM Aarms!
Nice! Yeah the 3s is a little ripper! The arms were the weak point in my experience so good call on RPM!👊
u have part numbers? Just got mine today and charging batteries.
Were you on 2s or 3s for this shoot, do you recall?
3s.😎
Was there a loss of speed with the trenchers?
No faster with larger tire diameter.
The super sender love your work rc dude 👍 👍 💪
Cool video, deciding between Talion or the Typhon 3s. both are cool im just not sure if i need 6s for tack racing.
Thanks!👊 Yeah the Talion is super fast on 6s. I suppose you could run 4s at the track and be fine. The 3s Typhon would be fun on track but I see it as more of a basher. I'm sure it would do well if you tuned it a little have good skills!
Did u have any trouble with those tires.?? What size??
Those are 2.8 Proline Trenchers with 17mm wheel hex. Great tire! I use these on the Big Rock as well. They hook up great and add a little more cushion for bigger jumps. 😎👊💪🤘🤘
No rubbing on the chassis?? Thanks for your time?
@@joshdunbar9721 Not at all. No hex extenders needed either. The wheel offset works perfect!👊
Is it okay to put 17t pinion ?
So is the chassis slap not an issue?
Wow an old vid! But YES, you want chassis slap. Otherwise shocks, towers, arms etc are compromised! You want good shock absorption and slow rebound after the chassis slap.
Nice speed run and bash RC DUDE81 not too bad for 47mph and punch turned to 5 👍🏽👍🏽
Question bro. I have a new Granite 3s blx. I know it's the same platform just shorter than This one you got. My question is what's your slipper set to
Mine out of the box had no lock tight on the slipper screw and it just come all the way loose 2 plus turns after I would run one 3s pack.
RC DUDE81 huge props👊👊👊👊👊👊😎.
Appreciate your words friend. If I could only repay all the help I've gotten.
It's time for me to get cracking on some videos.
Dudes like you doing this is extremely inspiring and I think it's my time to try it out. I'm sure a lot of dudes and dudettes will love watching another RC oriented UA-cam channel.
Thanks for all the help and let it be known that you've helped inspire me to try. With a few other friends also.
I absolutely Love the hobby and with the awesome people who live and eat RC's for breakfast I am in the right place.
Happy new year Brutha. ❤️😎👊
Does it come with a stability control system? Always seems to land correctly.
No, the landings rely on the driver!😨😂Proper air control is very important to land them on all 4's! It's all done with in air throttle and brake.😎
Some massive air with that typhon!
What car do you prefer out of this and the outcast
In the 3s/4s line?
@@RCDUDE81 both please .
@@RCDUDE81 thank you for this advice and keep making the videos .
No prob bro!👊
I'm getting one of these in the next few weeks, getting real excited! What was the mod you did to the ESC? 👍
Awesome! I just turned up the punch level to max punch 5. It's the second variable in the ESC settings. Just gives it a little more off the line punch. How fast the power feeds into the ESC.😎👊
@@RCDUDE81 wicked! Thanks for the info. Love the vid by the way. You fly that thing like an ace! Can't believe how much punishment it took. 😎
Awesome as hell

Nice car 👍👊🤙✈️
Thanks so much!!👊
Nice run Eric as always, my best top speed with the Typhon 3s on 4s was 72 mph. Yesterday I resale my Big Rock and Typhon 3s because I like better my two Kraton 4s and my Outcast 4s :)
Is it ok to run 4s in it?
@@tomburnell7674 not Box stock, needs a 4s esc
Typhon is awesome.. This is arrma best budget RC..
Massive air, it’s crazy it lasted one landing while punching those impressions in the clay! Arrma tough!
Thanks a lot bro! 👊Yessir whe was chassis slapping for sure! Such a fun rig!! Thanks for watching!😎💪👊🤟🤟
Those 2.8 tires fit on the Typhon stock? No fitting issues?
Slide right on. No issues! They are 2.8s with the 17mm hex.👊
Are they the f11 rims?
Fantastic speed run bro, my freind Paul Butcher has one, fantastic Rc, great video 👍😁👍
Sweet! Thanks so much! It is a blast to drive!!😎👊🤟
Wow
Insane air😎
Can you link those trenchers Eric?

Here are the Trenchers I was using. Just stole them off my BigRock😂Killer tire! Perfect offset as well. Just bolt on and play!🤘💪Glad you're loving the BR!!
Thanks buddy! Gonna go buy them now. :) So two of these Typhons, a Big Rock CC, and a Losi Rock Rey... are my newest additions. Got the bug you could say. Love your vids man, I know much work goes into all that!
I picked these up for my Revenge E, trying to give it a bit more life off road... any good? DuraTrax Lockup SC Mounted Soft Tires, Black 17mm Hex (2)
@@camillebrenes Thanks really appreciate that bro!!👊I know what you mean by the bug!..🤣I'm looking forward to what future rigs Arrma has up their sleeve!
@@camillebrenes Looks like a pretty good tire to kinda keep the buggy feel with a little more coush! I've never tried them so let me know how they work out if you get them!
What battery? I’m new to rc cars I wanna get the 6s but my local shop said 1200 after tax with battery’s for 6s 700 for 3s that semi right?
Dont buy at a hobby store. Way over priced. Tower hobbies online, and many others, google it, even amazon, is cheaper than a hobby store. Get a venom 3s 5,000mah 60c battery.
Nice i was wondering how this baby did in the air nice vid awesome air you just got a new sub👍👍💣💣
Thanks so much and thanks for subbing!!👊Yeah the Typhon 3s REALLY impressed me! Flys well! Especially with the bigger tires!😎💪👊🤟🤟
