Was at the RSL in Sale (regional VIC) the other day, there were a LOT of fallen servicemen named from that war. Was a bit of a WTF moment.

@nathanmccarthy6209 yes, around 600 casualties from what I've seen. Considering the population of Australia at the time, and comparing that to the Vietnam war which had a similar number of casualties but from a much larger population, it's a fair number of lost servicemen.

Indeed and it is not even stocked at most small bottle shops. I think maybe, maybe once I have seen it on tap in Melbourne, but I might have imagined it.
That area in Abbotsford where the brewery is, is a popular route for cyclists and it is a really bizarre part of the inner city that just hasn't changed in decades. It feels like being lost in a time bubble. There are still some parts of Richmond that can give that vibe if you are looking at them from a certain angle. It is ripe to be sold off and tuned into a huge apartment development precinct.

I often try to buy it but few places stock it and if they do they want you to buy a slab. I used to drink it when I lived in China.
Gee I can even remember drinking Foster's Export Stout which i doubt most Australians have even heard of.

Fosters oversea's is not the same as Aussie Fosters. Oversea's it is the Crown Larger recipe that is sold as Fosters I believe
