Nice and detailed guide, good work on this. I'll contribute a bit off of what I've seen from other guides. Here are some good items you can bring, for those trying this : [Blacksmithing] Demon forged breastplate (heal proc chestpiece) - You can use Truesilver breastplate as well, same effect [World/dungeon mobs] Skullflame shield (dmg reflect and lifesteal proc shield) [Dungeon] Force of will (dmg reduction proc trinket) [Elites] Uther's strength (absorb shield proc trinket) - as shown on video [Raid] Essence of pure flame ( dmg reflect trinket) [Dungeon] Naglering (dmg reflect ring) [Engineering] Force reactive disk (dmg burst proc shield) - The proc lowers durability significantly, so be careful using this one P.S. Some of the dmg procs scale off of spellpower so adjust gear accordingly. Happy farming y'all!
at 26:20 the fallen pillar to your left is a reset point. If you jump on it everything evades and you will leave combat so you dont need to accept your defeat etc.
great guide :) lvled my mage from 54-60 here. 2nd day of farming i found freezing band (400g) and hammer of the northern wind (10g), the day after i found krol blade (350g). also found 2 class books (druid and rogue). started lvling herbalism at lvl 58 too so made a lot of gold from the dreamfoil in there (10g/stack). it took a bit of getting used to the patrols' movements, especially at such a low lvl when i started but once you got that down it was a breeze as a mage - frost nova; flamestrike; cone of cold; spam arcane explosion - rinse and repeat! :P
Well done Quissy! Thanks for all the work you and Pasta do, we appreciate your video's, your contribution to being NOT toxic. Hope you are still having fun.
Thanks so much for this guide. Holy cow what a difference this made, I had been running lower level dungeons for gold farming, but this is so much easier, quicker, and makes wayyyyyyyy more money. I got super lucky, my second run i gotta purple on AH for 200g. Epic mount here i come
Something I just learned is that if you aggro a Death Lash or a patrol, you can jump on one of the fallen pillars and the mobs will evade after 15 seconds or so. Saves a lot on repair bills!

Nice video! I happened to do the same, but I kill the two patrolling stealth demons. Judge wisdom, use wisdom seal, and kill it with exorcism. If you just pull one at a time there should be no problems 😀
Great video! Also to make it easier for yourself you can have party member add your alt to a group and you can reset yourself if no one is able to help you !
2 additional consumables, Crystal Spire, 12 reflect damage for 10 min, and Crystal Charge, a grenade like consumable for a few hundred damage, which is affected by spell crit. You get them from un goro by crafting the different color crystals at the stations around the edge of the zone.
hey Sean! I'm not sure which property Crystal Charge is - but I've tested out Crystal Spire. Unfortunately it is considered "nature" damage, which the lashers are immune to. A big reason why Druids can't really farm DM:E.
Hand of Edward the Odd helps by giving you an insta Holy Light, sometimes when you actually need it. Glad to know I can do the farm with about the same gear, but I'm more prot than holy - like your build once my pally alt gets more heal gear. If you're into fishing late nights, there's Nightfin Soup to be had, otherwise greater sagefish for mp5.
Try pulling the pack you do last as pull number three instead. Easier to get to from that side, and then you can move straight across the path to the next pull. Saves negotiating and circling around two of the patrols
Thanks, this is really helpful. one thing I would suggest is after the second pack, run over and pull the last pack. The last pack seems to be dangerous to get to, to me... three patrols on the way.
@Quissy ended up using the route. Also found there is a reset point if you aggro any of the elites. its a broken pillar on the southern side of the room. Will have to check to see if I find any others. But you can bubble run to there and wait maybe 10s of not getting hit and they reset.
hey! You are right! I found out about that later on, lol. I have invis pots too because sometimes they bug out and keep focusing, so as soon as I drop combat, I pot an invisibility pot and I'm good to go!

Really informative video, however instead of Blood of The Martyr I suggest getting Songstone of Ironforge, since it gives 18 spellpower, int + stam, would give conc higher tick dmg.
@@DevinDTV so then go make it. She showed you the route. Go make it. Show us your 1m video. Pos troll. Everyone criticizes but no one ever wants to do shit.
if you can, try get the lightforge 6pc bonus, skullflame shield and demon forged breast plate, stack spell power gear and you can do this easily as 11/31/9, both the skullflame and demon forge life steal are increased by spellpower allowing you to aoe tank without you needing to use holy light, ive farmed this as my prot set using this set up
FYI, Whip Lashers have a backstab ability. I do understand that your tanking gear is decent enough that you might not need to worry about that, but i would suggest that you do not let them surround you. Tank with your back against a wall, etc. It may increase your farming efficiency, if only by a little.
If you're only ever tanking dungeons you can honestly drop 2 points out of precision and pop them in toughness instead. Most mobs in dungeons are slightly below 60 anyway, and you should still consistently hit bosses anyway. You can also take more points out of Holy if you like. I'm running a 14/37/0 spec and tanking raids, but also competed on the healing meters on our 15 man Onyxia when we were a few healers short.
Slap fiery blaze enchantment on your sword, rock thermaplugs central core and the AoE is even better. Dragonbreath chili and the crystal spire buff from un'goro are great consumables that are essentially free and worth the extra dmg if you're farming for a while
Don't let the little lashers get behind you, by the way. They do a "Lash of Pain" (back stab) that does around 150 damage. Just an FYI. Also, I was a little surprised that you have almost the exact same build as me =)
I was full Holy, but after getting the complete Deathbone set, I thought I'd respec and grab Blessing of Sanctuary and do some tanking. It's also good for the whole "battle cleric" thing I'm trying to do.
Truesilver Breastplate might be worth looking into as well. It's a chance on being struck to get healed, it can really help if you're going to AoE stuff like the WPL undead that do a fair amount of damage.
Demon-Forged Breastplate is more expensive but better. What is interesting to see in the video however is that she can pull it off with what I'd call bargain-bin gear. With a full suit of reflect damage? You can do this with much less stress and quicker.
hey there! That was one of my points, is that this farm is doable without the top/pre-raid BiS gear. It's a nice farm that is accessible to a lot of Pallies with some decent prot gear!
Jump on the little pillar in 26:11 if you aggro those, they cant reach you there and they always go around the pillar fully to chase you. Too late to mention this but whatever.
I get about 40-50g per hour doing this on my paladin. I run a 30/21/0 spec and have lots of lifesteal and spellpower gear, allows me to pull 2-3 lasher packs at once. I suggest you look into it!
I thought that dual spec would have been great in classic... You changed my mind! I like the fact that by splitting your talents you can do both, not to the same effect as a pure spec but suitable for more than one scenario. I think that the reason that i wanted dual spec is that in some of the classes i played there was no combination that was plausible. My druid comes to mind... lol
A little something to know about the concentration talent in holy, I find it useless as a paladin, the issue being, if you are going to BoP or Divine shield to heal up, it renders the talent useless since theres no way a mob will cut your healing while on it "except the lashers with their shadow damage but its just better to use divine shield anyways." Point is, if you need to heal while you're getting hit, you'll basically die, not even in raids you'll be using the talent since you can just head smash FL which is a quick cast. So you can put 5 points somewhere else, improv SoR for quick single target dmg is pretty good. I have Dragon leatherworking on my pally, crafted the whole bluedragon set, pretty cheap. Gives tons of intellect, spirit and resists along the set bonus of 24 spellpower. Since everything you craft in dragon is mail it'll provide you with some armor instead of being a Clothadin which I really dislike. Get yourself a fire cape too, it's a 2 min cd aoe fire dmg cape that helps a ton with farming big groups. Ask for tailors to craft you one, it ain't cheap but not too hard to gather materials for it, I'll suggest farming the fire essences. No matter the servers I can guess they're rather expensive everywhere.
I did this farm on my paladin. I have really good prot gear (full deathbone, skullflame, naglering, uthers, hoj, etc) and I still would only make about 5g every run, depending on greens. I'm just gonna say this, you really gotta get lucky and get an epic to drop to make it worth it for a paladin.
This is easily done in deep holy. Consecration will kill the non npc packs over time and just spam heal yourself in concentration aura. Return dmg set is helpful yet not needed. Will answer questions if needed
As someone that is literally making a Pally just for AoE runs, what do you think you would change in this build: classic.wowhead.com/gear-set/prot-aoe-32125 I might mess with the talents so I can roll as a healer while running dungeons for gear, but end goal is to get Skullflame Shield and the Rag trinket if I get into an MC run.
been doing this as ret spec after getting 5/8 tier1 gear and skull shield. currently spec'd 21holy/30 ret and my 1h mace is 1.60 mace called swiftstrike crudgel with 1% chance to hit and i put a fiery blaze enchantment from the quest in Badlands. i dont do any prep other than getting plenty of AV waters for efficient medding. also using cloak of warding for extra armor since i have zero prot and i also use uther's strength + royal seal trinket with 150 extra armor on it. 6.8k armor total. just in case someone is trying to do this on pally without getting rid of ret spec. hope this helps.
side note: i started doing this at lvl55-59 for xp fairly safely with some ok gear. i dont remember the exact gear but it was 3 lightforge from AH, blue helm that drops from these mobs, and hydralick shoulders/vest until i upgraded to stockade pauldrons. i always came in with uther's strength, that's almost a must if your gear isn't great. i also invested in skull shield at 55 in order to try this. i did it out of necessity since my server is underpop and it was impossible to xp at the time without getting 30 horde ganking you and camping your body for hours. xp wasn't great but getting both money and xp at the same time was a godsend compared to being ganked and not getting anything out of it. so far ive found at least 6 epics in here including freeze band that goes for about 600-800g depending on your server. herbs vary in price from day to day but still worth it, maybe not getting 60g/hr but at least 35-40g and much more if you get lucky.
Done this until more and more people startet to show up and the herbprizes have fallen down. I use a holy/reck build 25/26/0 and Full T1 with Skullflameschild. After that I moved on to low level Boe farming (Shadowfang Keep you can run until the big wolf and aoe everything there for around 100 mob pulls - 8 min runs). The market here is really good since on my server it seems the people started to gear up low lv pvptwinks. Made now in the first week of farming an average 80 gold/h.
@@zhenduowang3418 Yes. Without selling to people, low level dungeonfarming is not worth it. 40g/h if you have luck with high priced drops. But if too many already do this boe farm on your server then the g/h drop significant.
great content, met you on Grob the other night on my pally. I did the run and it worked perfectly, great content and great gold/hr. I might have missed this in the video, but there was a dusty tome in front of a lasher and I couldn't loot it without aggro'ing the lasher. I'm guessing this is out of reach to get solo? Update: found out that you have to get the dusty tome from the other side of him, opposite to your travel path.
hey there! Always great to chat with other fellow Paladins. Thanks for msging me! I'm glad you found out how to loot the tome without aggro'ing the lasher. Best of luck to you!
Quissy yup just enough for this solo aoe farm, and not missing too much for healing raids :) I also just picked up the Uther trinket, and it really made this farming feel a lot safer lol
Great vid Quissy! We're running almost identical builds! The only difference is I opted for Improve concentration Aura for when I need to pop a big holy heal while fighting a bajillion mobs. I've found it helps greatly vs 3 points into some extra armor. As always, great content, and keep up the good work!! -Bubz
I think the reason we dont remember the glowy bits from vanilla is that we all had potato computers back then, so we had to set everything to low/medium and the cool effects were the first to go. Now we're all running proper gaming PCs and can max everything out, which is also why the game as a whole looks worse than i remember lol
Good guide! Going to try this tonight. I'm very geared on my paladin 7/8 tier one, with other options like deathbone and stockade pauldrons, aurastone hammer and skullflame shield. Would I be able to some some elites as well?
As was mentioned in the video dude, you should be able to kill satyrs 1v1 but dont try any fel/death lashers or groups as you cant heal and damage enough for your mana pool to sustain

With enough intellect you can have Holy shock or what I call, emergency healing pot. Make it crit and you'll be good to go
With engi shield and reflect damage trinkets/ring you can do it even faster.
sure can. too bad the engi shield is $$$$ (and people recommend you have 2 on you for maximum efficiency)
What epic drops?
NIce guide, will try it out if im level 60, thank you. SUB!
great video
Can you do a video on your add-ons/ keyboard bindings? Would be super helpful 😁
Looks like bartender4 and Titan panel
This is easily done in deep holy.
Consecration will kill the non npc packs over time and just spam heal yourself in concentration aura.
Return dmg set is helpful yet not needed.
Will answer questions if needed
As someone that is literally making a Pally just for AoE runs, what do you think you would change in this build: classic.wowhead.com/gear-set/prot-aoe-32125
I might mess with the talents so I can roll as a healer while running dungeons for gear, but end goal is to get Skullflame Shield and the Rag trinket if I get into an MC run.
been doing this as ret spec after getting 5/8 tier1 gear and skull shield. currently spec'd 21holy/30 ret and my 1h mace is 1.60 mace called swiftstrike crudgel with 1% chance to hit and i put a fiery blaze enchantment from the quest in Badlands. i dont do any prep other than getting plenty of AV waters for efficient medding. also using cloak of warding for extra armor since i have zero prot and i also use uther's strength + royal seal trinket with 150 extra armor on it.
Thank you for sharing! Do you mean you need to sell loot to ppl to get 80g/h?
@@zhenduowang3418 Yes. Without selling to people, low level dungeonfarming is not worth it. 40g/h if you have luck with high priced drops. But if too many already do this boe farm on your server then the g/h drop significant.
Great guide ;)
Thank you.
Omg thank you. Xx 😘
This Makes playing a mage look hard
Paladin is easiest class to play, any class looks 'hard' if playing a paladin is base line
great content, met you on Grob the other night on my pally.
Same build as I roll! :)
it's such a sick build!
Quissy yup just enough for this solo aoe farm, and not missing too much for healing raids :)
I also just picked up the Uther trinket, and it really made this farming feel a lot safer lol
@@jonhyphenjon that trinket is dope! It worked especially nice when I farmed Stockades for a bit
I wish you played a shaman. I want this kind of content for my class..
Hi, nice vid.
How do you get the bar al the way on top?
Great vid Quissy! We're running almost identical builds! The only difference is I opted for Improve concentration Aura for when I need to pop a big holy heal while fighting a bajillion mobs. I've found it helps greatly vs 3 points into some extra armor.
As always, great content, and keep up the good work!!

i was wondering how you're supposed to go back out without dying/teleporting, this helped
hey there - I mention HOW TO RESET - 31:05
@@Quissy what do if no friends
@@shmeeshmee2327 u ask a random person lel no one thinks it's a big deal pushing 2 buttons for u
I think the reason we dont remember the glowy bits from vanilla is that we all had potato computers back then, so we had to set everything to low/medium and the cool effects were the first to go. Now we're all running proper gaming PCs and can max everything out, which is also why the game as a whole looks worse than i remember lol
*NEW* PART 2 UPDATE VIDEO: ua-cam.com/video/kGDt0P2i0lk/v-deo.html
thanks
Might have to roll a Paladin 😊.
Scarlet Monastery cemetery is also decent (15G per hour)
15g an hour? Stocks is like 30g
so at 23:00 when you talk about the second tome, it's literally right in front of the Lasher, is there any way to get the tome without aggroing it?
edge really really slowly opposite side to the lasher, it can be done but by tapping w really lightly
Awesome guide! I do have a question: what is the item that appears in your relic slot?
egans blaster - quest item from epl
unfortunatley, on my server, this isn't all that great. herb prices have dive bombed since DM came out because so many people are farming it.
Evan McAuley yeah no kidding, you see guides on the forums for doing this as a mage and they're pulling 3 of the lasher packs at once
