The guards in the Oblivion were so hilariously polite while Skyrim guards were totally different xD

i love how in oblivion, your not some reincarnation or dragon soul fueled prophecy dude. your just a somewhat normal person fighting for what he believes in.

I remember the fisrt time i left the prison (at the beginning of the game) and i saw that huge open world before my eyes. It was amazing.

It seemed half of UA-cam in 2007 was about different ways to kill the adoring fan. Specifically, shooting him off Dive Rock.

I loved that some NPC's would change their voice entirely when you selected certain dialogue options. Little imperfections like that make the already enjoyable game hilarious on top of it all.

Oblivion was my first Elder scrolls game, and is today still one of my favorites. Compared to Skyrim and Morrowind, there's something that keeps drawing me back to it. In oblivion I have this urge and desire to explore everything, even though I've seen it all several times before. The music, oh the music, Jeremy Soule you sun of a gun, absolutely breathtaking. The quests, the factions, the main story, the cities, the towns, the npc's, everything was just so much more desired to experience and enjoy than for example the later installment Skyrim. The graphics were so bright and green, watching the sunset over imperial city while triking along a road.. I have no more words except for Best The Elder Scrolls Game of all Time!

The main thing that made oblivion great was definitely the NPC conversations

Oblivion was a fairy tale, and I mean that in the best possible way. Nearly all the quests felt like something out of a fairy tale book that you'd find on the bookshelf of your grandparent's house when you were visiting.

The guild storylines and quests were way more interesting in Oblivion than Skyrim. The Dark Brotherhood in particular was incredible. My favorite quest in either game is the one from Oblivion Dark Brotherhood where you get locked in that inn with like 6 other people and have to kill them off one by one

When this game came out I was a little kid at the time. I remember when I used to sit down on the couch with my dad and just watch him play it. I was never much as a watcher but for some reason this is the only game I actually enjoyed watching someone play for long periods of time. I remember when we first loaded the game and instantly immersed into the world of oblivion. How the story instantly kicked off from that dungeon. Designing you own unique character. Learning what skills and spells you want to use for your play style as you go though your first dungeons. This game really has a special place in my heart because me and my dad really bonded over this game. I could not wait for him to get home from work to watch him play it. If he was playing it, I was there with him. We would talk about what's going on in the story and share are thoughts and opinions on it. Then talk about it again the next day. (Also we loved setting off the traps while in dungeons and caves lol). When I stared to play oblivion my dad would watch me play it too and help me along the way. But the point of this comment is that this game really bonded me and my dad together for a lifetime +1
