I actually made the banana peel one. It tasted really good, but you need at least three peels to make a substantial sandwich, which isn't realistic. Also, I could still taste the banana a little bit, which was weird. I also made carrot hot dogs. I don't think it's the same recipe in the Goodful video, but it tasted amazing... and I also got made fun of for it.
Your videos are always a sure thing, as far as enjoyment goes. It was useful to remember the best ones. Always like how you acknowledge your sources of inspiration. One thing I'd like to see on a cooking show is someone making flavoured tofu, by flavoring the soy milk and then making tofu from it. Does it then give you a tofu that's flavoured all the way through? Just a thought. Nice one, Merle, congratulations.

I have the fried celery root for my Christmas dinner every year (since the traditional Christmas meal in Czech Republic is fried carp). So I cut it in the shape of a fish a deep fry it and have a vegan potato salad with it (also Czech tradition, but not vegen of course). :)
I bet the shawarma one would be good with sliced tofu. Especially if you marinated it and froze it. The texture changes and becomes much meatier. I wanna try that now.

I have used the hibiscus mix quite regularly. Tortillas first, then I switched to a mix with mashed potatoes, as a gratin or individual turnovers. It works beautifully !
What I don't get is it sounds like you don't make these recipes for yourself anymore. Are there any that remain in your normal rotation? What are the dishes that are worth exploring as a vegan outside of weird gimmicks?
