I had to go to Hollywood Tow to sign off on my totaled Gen 1 factory. A car doing a U-turn ( from parallel parked position) took me out and I flipped (completely) over the boot of a BMW 5 series. Anyhoo when I hobbled over to the bike on crutches and saw her standing there w bent Ohlins and broken front rim, I actually started crying. Never done that before but I truly loved that bike.

It was 44T that bought me here, and even though I'm a dual KTM owner these days I'm still an Aprilia fan boy at heart.
I feel an RSV4 1100 calling my name...
When I worked at a Aprilia dealer I almost bought one of these, loved the look and feel then. Aprilia are a great brand, don’t know why they don’t expand the dealer network world wide, they would sell more for sure.

Hi Griff, long time passionate owner of a 99 gen 1 mille, best most reliable bike I have owned in the 55 years I have been riding, had it since new , just clicked over 91000km , other than regular servicing I have always done myself the only replacement parts used due to failures is a side stand switch and a clutch slave seal , in my 70's now and still ride it weekly and often still do 500km days on it,has always put a smile on my dial everytime I fire it up.Had many new bikes over the years ,new Triumphs, BMW,s and currently KTM 1190 but the Mille will go down the hole with me it is that special.I follow all your videos as I do 44teeth , great fun .

Aprilia is the best motrocycle manufacturer forever.
I come from Mirano and the Noale factory is just a stone's throw away.
I love my Aprilia RSV Tuono 1st Gen. The engine is bulletproof and always conjures up emotions for me. The chassis is still up to date today. No traction control, no abs or any other electronic aids. The only thing I have done is that I have fitted an oehlins strut and the forks have been tuned with k-tech.
Although not an SP i just purchased a standard 2001 mille, im super super stoked & i’m a kawasaki guy! Even cooler after watching the first video about chris’s sp and learning of ap workshops i emailed ap & asked a couple questions about my particular mille i was looking at & snox actually emailed me back 👍, good stuff considering i live in kansas.
I bought a gen1 Tuono last week, because i missed the fun on my zx10 r. Love the video.
After watching 44t vids with you and the SP and their gen 1 factory v sp2 vid, I went and bought my own this weekend.. sadly I’ve not got deep pockets like Sue Perkins so mines a standard gen 1 Millie.. ( it’s even got ap workshop receipts in the records 😆 so obviously looked after). cant wait to get out on it and try it 👍🏻. Great channel btw

Great video but you need to sort out the audio as it does detract from the blog. Otherwise keep up the good work.
