Great video! I also have a ZR2 and need these badly (because of my tint 😂). Did you encounter any problems with the trailering app after the install? I read about another lighting mod (Putco Blade) that hooked into the 7-pin but then caused all types of problems with the trailering app in the truck. Thanks!
I appreciate that. I haven’t used the trailering app tbh. But I will say that these lights will only work with the reverse lights with the Boost Auto kit I installed in a previous video.
@TheBlueGarage Gotcha. Coincidentally, I already have that boost mod. I got clarification from the manufacturer, the reason the other mod would interfere with the trailering app was because that particular mod was using the 7-pin to trigger the lights. This mod only taps the power from the 7-pin and uses the cargo light wires to trigger the pods, so no interference with the app. Thanks!
Nice! How much is that $250 kit??? Oh $550 wth???? These car accessory prices are crazy, if they would price things reasonably way more would or could be sold. Even splitting the difference between 550 and 250 say 375 I'd order tonight but I'm sorry that is more than an entire new bumper.
@@TheBlueGarage quality has nothing to do with accessibility in my opinion. The concept is great it looks really nice but way too expensive for what it is. Great job on the installation looks great!
A couple of questions. Do these work when the truck is in reverse, backing up? Looked like they are activated with cargo light switch which turns off when truck is put into gear. Will other brand Aux lights work with mounts? Good Video. Thanks in advance.
Yes, they will work with the cargo button. They can work with your reverse, if you follow my last video from boost auto with the wiring kit. That kit pairs, the cargo lights with the reverse lights I am unsure about other lights with the bracket. I wouldn’t think that they would, because it is such a seamless fit with the Baja design lights.
Is this the Boost Auto wiring kit you are referencing in the video? Dual Function (Third Brake Light Bed Cargo & Reverse) Wiring Harness - 2019-2024 Silverado & Sierra This is definitely a modification I will be considering in the very near future. I just need to finish installing my Rough Country grill lights and my Putco behind the grill light bar first
@@TheBlueGaragemy first time watching the channel, I thought it was a baby max that was straight piped somehow and that was all soot... I was very curious how it was done as a 2024 lz0 owner lol
Link says “Baja Designs Lights and Supreme Bolt Kit Sold Separately” Does that mean the mounting kit and wires is $230 then you still have to buy lights for $250?😬
Dude you need to improve your lighting skills underneath the truck. The wire harness connection part of this video was very confusing. Otherwise good job.

I did the boost auto cargo light kit almost a year ago....and today I find this video.....I think that I must do this now!
Haha nice! You won’t be disappointed. The quality of lights, bracket, & harness are all second to none.
If i still had the stock bumper this is something I would do! 🔥🔥🔥
If/when I ever swap to a custom bumper, I need to find a way to incorporate these.
Can you show the reverse cam visibility now with these installed?
I just posted it yesterday in the Pod Holes short video.

It’s all about the quality, that wiring harness, bracket, and lights are all top notch.

Yes sir, it is worth it. The wiring harness alone simplifies everything. Plus you can’t find better lights than Baja Design.
@@TheBlueGarage I agree but can’t justify $500 for rear lighting rt now.
~500 bucks for pod lights!!

That should be the most straight forward part. If you have the harness it hand it only works one way.
These are stupid expensive and not worth what they are asking. No thanks
