This is one of the best tutorials I’ve seen. No unnecessary talking, just simple to follow directions. Now I have perfect hems on my bootcut jeans. Thank you.
I don’t understand the negative comments…anyone who sews would know that there’s no way you can shorten flares in 5 min?? The video itself is 5 min so it’s not inaccurate. I watched a few videos and found this one the clearest and simplest - so thank you! I managed to shorten my flare jeans because of this and saved myself a $35 trip to the tailor. I do wish that there was more detail given about where to sew the original hem back on to the shortened leg but I figured it out. Thanks again!
You can create the same invisible hem by folding the hem up to the chalk mark, running a seam right at the original hem and then cutting away the bulk from the inside.
@@joeyurchenko3602No it unfortunately wouldn't because it would be uneven and too wide. She's right but this only works if you have a straight fit and not a wide fit jeans.
Eindelijk een goede tip en top uitleg om je originele onderkant van je tapered jeans te behouden. Duurde echt wel langer dan 5 minuten, maar binnen en buitenzijde zien er top uit! Ik ben hier heel blij mee! 😃
Great job! You make it look so easy...but knowing how I would not even be able to cut the straight line, I just gonna go buy a different pair of pants or roll 'em up! 🤣
Try doing that at 5’2 “. I need a 28 inch inseam… Most women’s jeans are at least 30 inches. I try to find petite length. It used to be cost effective to go to a seamstress, but not these days. My late Mom loved to sew, she sent me to Singer Sewing School…needless to say, I didn’t learn much Lol
@lynneb620 I didn't think about that, I'm 5'8", but you're right, it'd be difficult. My Momma was a professional seamstress, but I didn't inherit her artistic talent in that area! 🙆😂❤
You obviously don't take advantage of sales, thrift finds or yard sale finds. Many people need to have their clothes tailored right off the rack. You should feel pretty special if you can dress yourself right off a rack. Cheers.
I don't think they lied too badly. The video is 5:03. The title never stated that it would take you 5 minutes to complete the task. I get it, it's kinda clickbaity, but anyone who has tried to sew anything knows that it takes more than 5 minutes to do it. It takes me 5 minutes to thread the damn needle.

I wish i had a sewing machine and the patience to do this task at home. She is very skilled at her craft.

Much better - and less time consuming.
But would it work if the hem’s wider than the leg?

Pani je moc šikovná, pro mě je to moc složité, děkuji
Není jednodušší zkrátit délku kalhot klasickým způsobem? Výsledek bude stejný.

What a wonderful skill ❤
Longest 5 minutes I’ve ever seen 😂
This was really helpful! Thanks for sharing!
Way too much trouble. Just flip it over measure and cut. Fold up a new hem.
Finally someone who did it the right way!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The video should be titled the right way to hem jeans then. Not hem jeans in 5 minutes!!
What brand & model sewing machine are you using please?
Fantastic very intelligent neat work
You have to be a seamstress to do all this. It takes motor than 5 minutes.
Wow very clever. Perfect 👏👏 . A bid difficult for me though
Once you cut the original hem its not original hem anymore..so what is the point of this?
Or a flare..
Waaaaay more than 5 minutes. Very misleading!!
Who care! At least we know how it do it now!!
I was thinking the same!
Exactly!
I'd guess that took 30 to 45 minutes per leg. I don't own a sewing machine so it would take me a week or two to wait for the tailor. Cheers.
What is your beautiful seeing machine brand name?
Yeh, this is how I do Jean hems. WAY more than 5 minutes.
5 minutes?? I don’t think so!!
Just buy pants in the correct length?!!! 🙄🤔😂

@@darvoid66 Gee whiz, please chill out and read my above comment! And yes, I do take advantage of sales, thrift finds and yard sale stuff. Peace!
very good job
В принципе, мне всё понятно кроме того, как прошить те самые толстые места , где ткань в несколько слоёв...,,🤔
But want to keep the flare..
Дуже складно і за 5 хв ніяк не зробиш, це обман!!!
I can't even use a sewing machine without breaking needles.. Severely sewing challenged..
Супер !!! Спасибо !!! 👍
Bravo!
My head hurts
Took more than 5 min
Terimakasih cara menklim celananya
...think you mean "how to shorten flared jeans in 5 minutes while keeping the original hem"..............
😢 itna kaam
Not 5 mins
More like 50 minutes
❤
Total BS , you have to lie to get viewers?!
