I get goosebumps when the bridge drops and he starts singing about himself. How he starts to become dead inside. It’s so powerful, and makes you kind of feel sympathy
No. It's part of the Drones story, where the protagonist loses hope in love and becomes vulnerable to the dark forces introduced in 'Psycho'. It's also about his relationship with Kate Hudson.@@_spacemonkey_7079
That’s kind of a dumb thing to say, it is exactly the same as it’s always been. Which is amazing no doubt but it hasn’t really changed. You can’t change someone’s range or tone when it’s already perfect
Luis Gonzalez Yeah me too. At first I thought that it was mediocre. But after listening to it 5-6 times, I really like it, especially Matt's vocals during the bridge of the song.
I wouldn't call it genius; it's just surreal. I see music videos as genius when they fully link with the lyrics and create a story. This is just surreal art.
I always get goosebumps when he starts the verse "my lips feel warm to the touch" at the end ahhhh. Matt really knows how to transmit feeling with his voice!
Psycho is something that brings "that old Muse". This brings "that new Muse". Some liked it, some disliked it, some just need time to like it. They are experimenting. You can't just expect them to make the same music all the time.
Yeah but the thing is Matt said that this album is going to be like the old ones (guess not "entirely"). I don't know, had the same odd feeling about Survival and ended up liking it. This just sounds TOO pop...
craig cowan no this is just a mediocre song. try putting headphones with their earlier works/songs like Exogenesis Symphony, Origin of Symmetry (Space Dementia, Citizen Erased, MicroCuts, Screenager), Absolution (Ruled by Secrecy, Butterfly and Hurricanes) , now THAT would indeed take you to another place. but not this song. sorry. I'm just being totally honest.
Niki Wonoto that is your opinion. I have been into Muse before Muse existed...I know all about their earlier work...Every band has great early work, that is why we are drawn to them but as soon as they change their style some fans become judge and jury. Every band has this problem...great early stuff they can't recapture and then the fans say it's just mediocre. Those songs you mention are amazing but they have been done already by Muse...Let's move forward and try to enjoy what Muse are providing us with just now. Afterall, there ain't to many bands nowadays that even last to 7 albums...so we should be thankful our boys are still providing us with amazing new material.
Instead of commenting on how the band was good before or what kind of songs it should make...I think we should appreciate that they keep on experimenting with each and every song. Well done Muse!
The progression of this song is so good. The ending is so powerful and emotional. Idk if it's the hype train or what, but this is one of my favorite muse songs
People don't like change but cry for it when things get stale. The last 2 Muse albums have been refreshing, especially The 2nd Law I think. They went down musical paths they haven't touched before and I thought it came across brilliantly. From the operatic and dub-step sound of Unsustainable to the funky Panic Station. Wide range of influences in that album. The new song Psycho sounds like they've went back to basics and it's just them that are jamming which we all love to see them do when they're playing live. Up Muse. They're fucking great.
***** I have to disagree. Not sure how this compares to Madness and Pyscho certainly is nothing like Animals. As for their originality, we can't judge based off two radio singles. Muse has developed a large mainstream following over the years and these tracks are more for that audience. It sounds like they're trying to please everyone with this album. Dead Inside is aimed more towards newer fans that liked 2L. Pyscho is their back to basics song for their rocker fans and Reapers is what happens when classic Muse and classic rock have a baby. The Globalist is going to be the real treat though... 10 minute sequel to Citizen Erased, written in the OoS style. That'll be for the old fans that have been wanting that return for years. All in all, this album is going to have something for every Muse fan, so it's unlikely every Muse fan will like all the styles.
***** algoods then. honestly i think Muse will live up to its name and make an amazing album as always. but a lot of their fans tend to focus on the songs they dont like rather than the ones they do like, which is a shame.
David Hudson Well I love The 2nd Law mostly and I'm a fan of 11 years... People are just narrow minded, not like they did a coldplay and went poppy land with Rihanna... They rock on every album, just the last two not as much.
People who want "old Muse", I feel like you barely know what you're asking for. Muse have been making music like this since they started. Grandiose vocals, gritty guitar licks, fuzzy, synthy, dirty bass lines... Instrumentally, we've seen all of this before. You just have nostalgia for the years when it was new to you, and you will never feel that again because Muse are not new to you. That is not the fault of anyone, and no one can change that. Also, how was Black Holes and Revelations not experimental?
Matthew Oldham Muse's fanbase I swear... If this was sounding like the "old sound", they would say something like "Omg it's too simple, they copied their old songs", just like what happened with the Stockholm Syndrome's Outro in Psycho, which they've been playing since 1999. (Is 1999 not old enough for them?) Just saying.
Do you really belive what you say?!! Because you are dead wrong mate. Muse has done stupid music only since the last album. I'm a Muse fan since you were shiting in your pants. Stop talking shit and grow up.
Are you really serious? You think Muse made music like this from the beginning? that's the problem with these ''fans'' in the comments. They don't know jack shit about muse. And no, no one really wants them per se to go back to their old style. All we want is GOOD songs, these 2 not being that.
wokowen I loved the last albums. All of their albums actually. Being a Muse fan, in my opinion, demands to be open minded. Rock, metal-style riffs, classical music, funky sometimes. Every song is unique, has its own spirit, and that's exactly what I like about Muse. They are the only band I know who are able to go through a shit loads of different styles, and still stay the same somehow. And this is how everybody should see it, instead of ALWAYS finding something to complain about. So, I'm not sure who is supposed to grow up here.
Psycho: IT'S SO STRIPPED DOWN AND SIMPLE!!! MUSE ARE BECOMING LAZY AND THEIR SONGS ARE REPETITIVE Dead Inside: I THOUGHT THEY SAID THE ALBUM WILL BE STRIPPED DOWN AND SIMPLE ROCK! WHY IS THIS SONG COMPLEX AND CATCHY? GOSH MUSE ARE SUCH LIARS! There's no pleasing you guys.
Honestly this is stylistically very different for MUSE, but in retrospect I think this is arguably their most cohesive and well executed song. Definitely one of their best works.
Wow, i've been into Muse since about 15 years ago. I've seen them live 14 times, heard every song over 1000 times. Now this song has me excited! FINALLY, MUSE ARE BACK!!!!
Always when I discover a new song by muse it seems as if it has been written for the situation I am in. I'm deeply grateful for the music this band is making. Thank you so much, Muse!
*Dead inside - Muse* Feel me now Hold me please I need you to see who I am Open up to me Stop hiding from me It's hurting me Only you can stop the pain Don't leave me out in the cold Don't leave me out to die I gave you everything I can't give you any more Now I've become just like you My lips feel warm to the touch But my words seem so alive My skin is warm to caress I'll control and hypnotize You've taught me to lie without a trace And to kill with no remorse On the outside I'm the greatest guy Now I'm dead inside
***** no... you wouldn't call the majority of things alternative... MJ isn't alternative, ACDC isn't alternative, Linkin Park, EMINEM etc, none of them are alternative... I don't know what you've been told but the name for that noise you hear coming from the radio is called music and not alternative...
Greg P Alternative is really just an umbrella term for artists who tend to have an independent style, or have a non-conforming demeanour to the norm, It's pretty much a genre made up of sub genres (indie rock/pop, grunge, emo). Nirvana for example are considered Alt-rock, but if you wanted to be specific they would be classified as grunge, so are Marcy Playground, The Strokes, or Modest Mouse, they're all Alt-rock bands, a lot of bands can be labelled alt, saying something sounds like alternative rock isn't wrong, but it isn't really descriptive. But hey, you aren't in the wrong either, you just do you man.
This aint no pop music at all. I have to hear Pop music at one of my jobs regularly, they play it on the radio, it's like vomit played thru a speaker. This is alternative/rock with an 80s influence IMO, no it's not as good as Showbiz or Origin, but it's still really good.
Well people need to learn to stop obsessing over what genre a song or band is, good music is good music and muse is always delivering on that end and that's all that matters, I could give a rats ass what genre they are labeled as.
Original Name Psycho wasn't supposed to be insightful. It's about a guy (or girl) being brainwashed, just being told the same misguided things over and over again. Thus those people had nothing to complain about in the first place.
AppocalypseKitty117 Oh yeah no I absolutely agree! I'm completely in love with the song and understood straight away. I'm just saying that many people didn't and in fact did say that about the song.
You are amazing and very professional with what you do!! Keep on sharing with us beautiful music and I hope one day soon to see you live in Thessaloniki, Greece!!!
I really want to see them live, they are amazing! But they wont come to a concert near to me, and I can't travel to one because of school. But the new songs are amazing, just loke their older stuff.
I was excited for Psycho. Muse can be insane when they're on their game. Was annoyed by the cliche opening, waited the whole song to hear something I liked. Left thinking maybe Muse was over the hill. So I wasn't expecting much when I clicked on this. This is insane. This is an epic strait-from-the-80's synth masterpiece with a powerful driving base line. It isn't at all what I expected, but I've gotta say, it's pretty amazing. I'm really excited to hear what else is coming. Dead Inside restored my confidence.
This is a great song with great lyrics! I was expecting a electro song for the first track since the first track is always related to the previous album: - new born's beguining has elements of showbiz - Take a bow has the apocalyptic feeling of absolution (it was written during that era anyway) - Uprising sounds like a simpler/popish knights of cydonia - Supremacy has the symphonic and heavy elements of the resistance. - Dead inside has the electronic stuff from T2L
omb, I knew Take a Bow and Uprising were related to their previous album, but I never analyzed it that way ! Now to see if Drones will end in a grande finale just like Knights of Cydonia, Exogenesis Symphony and The 2nd Law tracks.
This is my favorite song EVER. It's just so emotional, and deep, an even has an amazing solo. I just cried when I first heard this song. Thank you, Matt, for making my life better.
TheM00h Rolling Stone calls it a "Relationship horror song". It's not about the girl, it's about the guy(our protagonist) who becomes dead inside like her. It's the introduction to the album, where our protagonist losses hope and becomes a "Psycho". It's really a metaphor for how, "The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.", But also, "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse." - Matthew Bellamy Cited www.rollingstone.com/music/news/hear-muses-relationship-horror-song-dead-inside-20150323#ixzz3Vih1DmNf
same reaction i had with madness: 1st listen: ehh 2nd listen: huh kinda catchy 3rd listen: *nods head to beat* 4th listen: *nods harder* 5th listen: sings along (attempting anyway) 6th listen: This song is awesome. FOR THOSE WHO LISTENED ONCE AND WAS LIKE EHH, GIVE IT A CHANCE, it will consume you with madness and make you DEAD INSIDE!!!!!!!
1st listen to Survival - *meh* Last night watching War Child - *So this is the best thing on the internet, yeah?* 1st listen to psycho - *"it's aight"* 12 hours later I was telling my mother *"Your ass belongs to me now!"* I'm pretty sure I only need to listen to this twice more before I lose all my shit completely.
tenlegdragon Already done. Managed to walk home from a train station today for 30 minutes with Dead Inside playin on loop. I dont know what happened but when i got home i was in a state of musical bliss lol. Ahhhh Muse..... been so long since the pre-album buzz. How Ive missed it ^_^
MusabreGames Careful tho, walking with traffic and listening to Muse can lead to being hit by said traffic. For reals. Not saying it happened to me but... Yeah...
Muse have created so many different sounding songs, fans of different genres like muse for different reasons. They're crowd pleasers. Of course they're going to have a super catchy song to please that crowd, but they always manage to get a message across while throwing some real lyrics instead of the main stream pop bullshit so the other crowds are happier about it. I love muse and I hope they continue doing exactly what they're doing. Matts a genius. Every style they've played, they killed it. End of story DRONES
shawn spicer All 3 members of the band make Muse. I was wayyy under-appreciating Chris because he plays the bass. When I found out that he was in charge of some of my favorite parts of songs, I started to see the band as all 3, not just Matt. And yes, Matt is a genius!
Wow under appreciating bass seriously people don't understand the complexity of bass I mean if just play root notes fine but Chris plays it brilliantly he has his own style which is perfection.
albums of muse on my opinion: Showbiz - very good Origin of Symmetry - amazing Absolution - awensome Black Holes and Revelations - VERY AMAZING the Resistance - still VERY AMAZING the 2nd Law - still amazing Drones -..... i think it will be amazing
how is 2nd law better than showbiz jesus Good songs on Showbiz: Sunburn Muscle Museum Cave Showbiz Unintended Uno Sober Escape Good songs on The 2nd Law: Supremacy Panic Station Animals that's way less
Showbiz - great Origins of symmetry - fucking great Absolution - great Black holes and revelations - great Resistance - still can be called good, songs are getting more unoriginal 2nd law - absolute fucking shit, not a single good song, animals was kinda close, supremacy is just a kashmir ripoff, madness is alright, the rest was just fucking garbage. Drones - one retarded rock song, one retarded pop song, thus far.
pigammon You are right, but you forgot to mention the newton abbot wich had a lot of realy nice stuff, and the Do we need this ? that was pretty awesome too.
I only found out about this song a week ago. listening to the radio. I was hooked after a few seconds. It still sends pleasant shivers down my spine because it's so good.
In Chile, the radio that plays Muse, it only plays Madness, Panic Station, Mercy, Uprising and Supermassive Black Hole. It's good, yes, but it could be better.
Once again, Muse doesn't disappoint! I really love the sound and vibe in this song. It's amazing how Muse can take on so many different styles and pull it off just right every time! P.s. All those haters who want the old sound of Muse back, go listen to the old albums, keep it like that and let the band try out different things.
Getting so sick of all the people complaining about this. Shut up and be gracefull with what you get. I actually really like the new Muse songs and I'm really excited about Drones. It's just sad that people always want to say something bad, like that's more exciting than saying something good for once.
Well said! I´m really sad people saying these things - don´t they care how members of Muse would feel if they read these. There have been many bands in my life I don´t like anymore but I don´t go complaining to them. Go away and let others enjoy this beautiful song.
I love listening to Muse mindlessly.. Using your brains is absolutely not a bad thing, but sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment without thinking.. At least that's what I like to do. I guess I just didn't like reading the comments afterwards, wasn't expecting any bad ones.
*sigh* People will always complain. Saw this played live last night - thought it was awesome and I still love it, like 20+ plays later. Muse are incredible!
I love that with every album, Muse finds a new route to take it in. They experiment so much and I commend them for that. This new album is fantastic and I still get a sense of their older music when I listen to it which I love. Never get tired of them!
2:21 that legitimately freaked me out. Love the song, as well as "Psycho". It's good to see Muse back with new stuff, can''t wait to hear the other songs that are going to be on this new album.
really hope they get to do a Bond theme one day - i know they keep championing themselves to the producers of the movies to do one... would love to hear what they could do for 'Spectre'
Daniel John Clement It's really funny you said this because I thought the same thing when I saw this. Perhaps it was because of the cinematography - all you would need to add would be a could of Walther PPKs, some poker cards and an Austin Martin and it would be a bonafide Bond theme. They'd absolutely kill it if given the opportunity. Here's to hoping!!
Sadly the rumor for Spectres theme song is from Sam Smith. I think he is a good artist but it would be awesome to see muse do a 007 theme song even though Supremacy sounds a lot like a song for 007
Daniel John Clement Thought this could totally be a Bond theme and could use the visuals for the opening credits, even the lyrics are pretty close to describing who Bond is! Also, the chick in this video has great jubblies!
The outstanding quality of Muse songs should make that the favorable option to showcase in a Bond film. I'm surprised they never used a Muse song. Oh well World War Z is good too I guess. I hope more franchises use songs from Muse.
Surely I can't be the one that had an eargasm at 31-37 seconds when Matt does the harmony with his voice? Like seriously, that one line makes my heart flutter!
shay campbell Yeah, the interpretive dance kind of clashes with the point the song is making, maybe I'm just not getting something but this one gives like a "human drone" type feel. The exception is in the beginning and end of the other video of course, and how his movements match hers before that then his eyes go dead. Those parts are better, but the stuff in between...
I can see that most of Muse's fans don't know a thing about music. If you complain about this not being "stripped down" like Matt said, then I can certainly say that you don't know what you're talking about. This song is basically drums, guitar, bass and synthetizer here and there, and it follows a pretty straightforward musical structure. I liked it quite a lot, and i've been a fan since the OoS era.
I couldn't agree more. Muse is one of the greatest Bands today, and as much as I am in love with Showbiz, their newer stuff is still very epic! Btw, why is it a bad thing if a song includes synthesizer? Its not, as long as its fitting. And if someone here is saying "I just want them to return to their three instruments"... Uhm... They used effects since Showbiz...
well yes, they don't know what they're talking about, they just use the wrong reasons, I personally hate it because it sounds like cringeworthy, mediocre pop and isn't even half as catchy as madness
awesome song, sounds as epic as a 007 theme song can be without being one. i listen to muse since origin of simmetry and i thoroughly enjoy what they've became and what they sound like after almost 15 years
Yep. They're back. It's better than Psycho. It's unique, in terms of production or lyrics or whatever that they've made before. This is Muse. And Dead Inside is a deserving single. Thank you, Muse. For not giving up like you did on Psycho. Ah, brilliant hooks. Unique. Nearly a perfect song for a Grammy nomination for a rock or an alternative song. It's good to hear them. It's so good. Fahk Yes.
Lewis Smith Yeah I thought they're only gonna play straight forward hard rock like they've teased us in their Instagram videos...well, the contrast between Psycho and Dead Inside (the first two songs on the album) is pretty massive, plus Matt confirmed The Globalist to be a sequel to Citizen Erased. I'm expecting everything from 80s rock (like this one) to hard rock (Reapers) and heavy songs to be on the album. Can't wait!
***** I've typed my share of typos of all the permutations of they, their, they're, there. Sometimes it isn't done out of lack of knowledge but more a brain fart while typing. I've use there when I meant they're before and facepalmed when I saw the post later. I also long ago gave up trying to correct people's grammar. I just looked like a dick.... a dopey bag of dicks, even. Also the commas go inside the quotes. "They're," not "there," you dopey back of dicks. Annoying isn't it?
Lewis Smith I'm not sure about this song, but I felt that way about a number of songs that wound up becoming favorites. I will certainly be purchasing the new release. Drones. Gotta love that 1984 paranoia vibe of theirs. :D
Urgh neither Psycho or this has blown me away. They're good but I haven't that immediate 'YES' feeling. Reapers seems more promising at least (coming from someone who loves 2nd Law).
First time listening:Iis that Muse, why is it pop music? I am so confused ... Second Time: I get the lyrics, I like it Third Time: MORE MORE Verdict: this song is like a skow drug that needs time to reach your brain but when it does you are addicted lol
Brinsingr Flamme I wasn't sure I liked Muse when I first heard them. Like Radiohead they grew on me and I got to realize just what talented composers they are. They do some nicely interesting things that is generally bereft in popular music. They are not derivative... well all music is derived from some past influence. These guys have a sound that is very distinctive. That's great. I am often shocked when a band can get mass appeal and still be 'good'. Tool and Radiohead are examples of bands that were totally not mainstream but somehow managed to get a mainstream following rather than just a cult following like Legendary Pink Dots and Coil.
pnakotus Same thing here, it took time but the more I listened to Radiohead the more they grew on me and now they are one of my favorite groups, same could be said for Muse.
Bread inside! Revere a million grains And draw me into your wheatyness But there's no yeast there Oven only bakes those loaves that don't contain hair Unleash a million loaves And cover me then bake me babe Do you have no ingredients? It's like you ran out long ago Your pieces feel warm to the touch You can bring me vitaman A,D and C On the outside you're all crust and hard But you're bread inside! I'll have you know I just came up with this and I'm proud.
lol, here's a version from reddit: Bread Inside by /r/muse from the album Scones . [Intro] Bread Inside! . [Verse] I'd eat A million breads You draw me into your bakery But there's nothing there Bread only comes from those who sell I'd eat A million scones And confections. Are you selling, babe? Do you sell no bread? It's like you are One of them . [Chorus] Your crust feels warm to the touch You can bring me back to life On the outside, you are glazed and ashine But you're bread inside! . [Verse] You're free to bake the rye Whilst I am kneaded and pulverized Because you need control Now I'm the one who's baked by you You like to give a crumb Whilst I am giving whole loaves of me But now I've got nothing left You have no cares and I'm bereft . [Chorus] Your dough feels warm to caress I see bread crumbs in your eyes On the outside, you are glazed and ashine But you're bread inside! . [Bridge] Feed me now, hold me please I need you to see who I am Open up to me! Stop baking me! I'm burning babe only you can stop the pain Don't leave me out to cool off Don't leave me as a rye I gave you everything I can't give you anymore Now I've become just like you My crust feel warm to the touch My slices are slim and nice My dough is warm to caress I'll be eaten by a guy You've taught me to knead without a trace And to bake with no remorse On the outside I'm the greatest rye Now I'm Bread Inside!
If Psycho and Dead Inside aren't up to your "qualifications" or "understanding" of what Muse is capable of then I honestly see no place as to call you a fan; regardless if you're a new or old fan. Drones is a narrative album in the sense that the *entire* album is going to tell us a story. Much like Pink Floyd's _Dark Side of the Moon_ it feels incomplete when you listen to separate parts of it; but when you sit down and listen to it as a collective whole, that's when the mastery behind it smacks you in the face. If _The Globalist_, the 10 minute sequel to _Citizen Erased_ doesn't get you to shut up, you might as well stop following the band and stay in the past because the rest of the album isn't going to please you either.
Even as stand alones psycho and dead inside make alot of sense. Dead Inside shines when you reflect it on psychological behaviour in relationships and see it as the protagonist having in inner arguement which is most likely what matt intended. Psycho's to the face lyrics fit the topic of general brainwashing into killer machines either beeing a radical fashist or the psycho killer for the really high estabelishment or if you are following others thoughts without questioning in general some of matt bellamy's latest interviews give you pretty much a good picture of what went through his mind while he wrote those lyrics :D Anyway looking forward to drones aswell The only song I may have get to used to so far is reapers
Kevin G But Time is a pretty damn great track on itself. I felt like Psycho is rather mediocre. I like the idea of this one more, but as I have listened to it only once I can't exactly tell how much I'm going to like this.
R0DisG0D Very true _Time_ can stand alone and be spectacular, but when paired with _The Great Gig in the Sky_ it becomes so much better. Hearing the needle hit the vinyl and listening to the A-side play through for that album on a nice stereo setup is still one of the most satisfying things you can hear. Hopefully _The Globalist_ is this album's _Time_.
Kevin G Well I get your point. However, I still don't think I'm going to like Psycho in the context of the album. This track, however, could be amazing.
These lyrics kick ass! Now this is the Matthew Bellamy that inspires me! This is the Matthew Bellamy I love! Great song, great lyrics! Will always remember singing this song at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas January 2016! What an awesome concert, what an awesome night! 💜💜💜🎶🎶🎶
Yep. Sounds really diverse already. Reapers was a massive treat (Newport). I remember saying to the missus, "Jesus...look at his fingers on that guitar!"
i'm not the biggest fan of this song, at least not yet. maybe after a few more times i will find a deep connection to this! i am a huge muse fan and even though i'm not quite as warmed up to drones as i was to black holes and revelations for example, i will still appreciate their work and respect them through their evolving sound :)
I'm just saying, but to like a song after you heared it much times, is not quite the right order, because you just acustomed with the song. You have to hear it, love it, and hear it so often, that after some time (maybe years) it will swell outside your ears :D But I know what you mean, the basic melody is so boring. I can turn on the radio if I wanna hear this melody. For compensation there is a guitar solo and Matt's great singing skills. The drums can be played by my 6years old nephew, who is so musical like a buffalo xD
***** Absolutely no one said anything critical. People are just nostalgic. nothing wrong with that. Even if Muse evolves their music it's still their creation and people still respect them.
From Showbiz to Drones, this band has shown a remarkable progression. People complaining about how they have changed clearly cannot appreciate how a band evolves. They have change, yes, but not in a negative way. They keep it fresh, with a constantly changing theme for each album. If it's not your taste, fine, but just because they tried a particular genre of music you don't like doesn't mean they "suck" or have "lost their touch," just your interest.
Yeah the next Bond movie is about James getting turned into a psycho killer because he falls in love with a double agent who is also a psychopath with the mission to make Bond the villain.
First time I listened to this song, I though "is this really Muse??" .. and since than, I listen to it every day :D Definitely not what I was expecting, but surprisingly enjoyable, in my opinion :)
I get goosebumps when the bridge drops and he starts singing about himself. How he starts to become dead inside. It’s so powerful, and makes you kind of feel sympathy
Me too
You realize the song was a metaphor for the MIC under the Obama administration right?
No. It's part of the Drones story, where the protagonist loses hope in love and becomes vulnerable to the dark forces introduced in 'Psycho'. It's also about his relationship with Kate Hudson.@@_spacemonkey_7079
In the last part of this song, his voice is so emotional, I can almost feel what he is feeling
Bhavya Dhuria same here
Try listening to it when your feeling down, entirely different experience
it sounds like he's crying throughout this song; the emotion is beautiful.
Matt Belamy voice is like wine , the older it gets the better it is
Silvester Kotsias i know its gets more amazing by the years
That’s kind of a dumb thing to say, it is exactly the same as it’s always been. Which is amazing no doubt but it hasn’t really changed. You can’t change someone’s range or tone when it’s already perfect
Thats is untils hes dies.
@Victor Hugo Alvarez Damasceno - #SINGER Total bullshit dude
*Matt Bellamy voice just better*
There you go buddy, fixed your comment for you.
Old fans only like old music
New fans only like new music
Real fans love both
Your comment deserves more likes.
HEAR HEAR
THANK YOU. I HAVE LITERALLY EVERY RELEASED SONG MUSE HAS EVER DROPPED
im real fans then
i love both :D
Amen!
This really grew on me. I really like Dead Inside now.
ikr ;)
Luis Gonzalez It took me a bit, but it finally grew on me as well. I love this song.
Jarl Ballin' Me too
I can surely relate to this. Had the same feeling with Madness.
Luis Gonzalez Yeah me too. At first I thought that it was mediocre. But after listening to it 5-6 times, I really like it, especially Matt's vocals during the bridge of the song.
This LYRIC video is better than a lot of MUSIC videos ive seen
Because of the boobs right?
no exaggerate pls.
I wouldn't call it genius; it's just surreal. I see music videos as genius when they fully link with the lyrics and create a story. This is just surreal art.
It's kinda of like a Dali painting. Trippy stuff. I dig it.
J. Matthew Mercier
dickprick lol... mind if i keep that one?
I always get goosebumps when he starts the verse "my lips feel warm to the touch" at the end ahhhh. Matt really knows how to transmit feeling with his voice!
3:23
"I gave you everything, I can't give anymore, Now I've become just like you"
Give me chills! Matt is back! I WANT THE ALBUM NOW!
hey nott
Psycho is something that brings "that old Muse". This brings "that new Muse". Some liked it, some disliked it, some just need time to like it.
They are experimenting. You can't just expect them to make the same music all the time.
Ardimo Harsa This is the right comment. It needs all the thumbs up. People won't understand it. So they should read this.
Yeah but the thing is Matt said that this album is going to be like the old ones (guess not "entirely"). I don't know, had the same odd feeling about Survival and ended up liking it. This just sounds TOO pop...
True but I have to admit that muse is my favourite band and im actually having trouble to figure which song i like best
They've been 'experimenting' for the last two albums...
Ardimo Harsa well they experimented with 2 albums now and we all know that it wasn't that great..
I don't know why, but if Freddie Mercury was still alive, this would be the sound of Queen.
Look up The Protomen, and listen to their queen covers. Their cover of "Don't Stop Me Now" is dead on. Their singer is so close to Freddy it's scary.
Shenanigan Samurai Brian May has gone on record agreeing, if I remember correctly.
Shenanigan Samurai Wow, years without listening to Protomen, Still, I can remember their awesome Queen covers.
Daniel San GMR check out their new covers album "The Cover Up" it's great
Daniel San GMR No, it really wouldn't.
This song has resonated with me since the day it was released. Their most underrated song in their arsenal.
This song is absolute genius....try it with headphones on...It takes you away to another place. Amazing band muse are.
Very spacey 🎸
Indeed.
craig cowan no this is just a mediocre song. try putting headphones with their earlier works/songs like Exogenesis Symphony, Origin of Symmetry (Space Dementia, Citizen Erased, MicroCuts, Screenager), Absolution (Ruled by Secrecy, Butterfly and Hurricanes) , now THAT would indeed take you to another place. but not this song.
*good headphones
Instead of commenting on how the band was good before or what kind of songs it should make...I think we should appreciate that they keep on experimenting with each and every song. Well done Muse!
I was first like ... this is pretty awesome
then a few hours later I came back to this song
ITS ADDICTING OMF DEAD INSIDE!
NaruHinadorable Also boobs
Nemo_K Wait I thought they couldnt do that on YT haha also i didnt know what you meant until i saw it. funny
Dustin Miller Haha. UA-cam only allows it for "eduaction purposes".
wait what? Wtf XD granted it was done in an artistic style but wtfffff
Dustin Miller Seriously. I'm not complaining, cuz I love me some boobies, but YT policy seems a bit vague and open for abuse.
The progression of this song is so good. The ending is so powerful and emotional. Idk if it's the hype train or what, but this is one of my favorite muse songs
The evolution of MUSE as a band is beyond extraordinary. Great song!
***** what was wrong with Starlight and SMBH?
***** algoods then. honestly i think Muse will live up to its name and make an amazing album as always. but a lot of their fans tend to focus on the songs they dont like rather than the ones they do like, which is a shame.
David Hudson Well I love The 2nd Law mostly and I'm a fan of 11 years... People are just narrow minded, not like they did a coldplay and went poppy land with Rihanna... They rock on every album, just the last two not as much.
Totally agree
People who want "old Muse", I feel like you barely know what you're asking for. Muse have been making music like this since they started. Grandiose vocals, gritty guitar licks, fuzzy, synthy, dirty bass lines... Instrumentally, we've seen all of this before. You just have nostalgia for the years when it was new to you, and you will never feel that again because Muse are not new to you. That is not the fault of anyone, and no one can change that.
Also, how was Black Holes and Revelations not experimental?
If you're prepared to listen, you'll hear throwbacks all the way to Showbiz in this song.
The amount of emotion I get from this song is unreal. Ive honestly never felt this way about a song. You did good muse, keep doing what your doing
Psycho: IT'S SO STRIPPED DOWN AND SIMPLE!!! MUSE ARE BECOMING LAZY AND THEIR SONGS ARE REPETITIVE
Dead Inside: I THOUGHT THEY SAID THE ALBUM WILL BE STRIPPED DOWN AND SIMPLE ROCK! WHY IS THIS SONG COMPLEX AND CATCHY? GOSH MUSE ARE SUCH LIARS!
There's no pleasing you guys.
I thought you were serious
Complex? Where?)
We dont want simple rock. We want Prog rock
Spot on.
OptimisticDeath
Then go listen to a prog rock band. What are you doing here?
I can hear this song playing over a movie trailer/soundtrack already.
No matter what others are saying, as a long time Muse fan, I like this song.
Yeah Joel!
Whoa, a Muse lyric video that shows all the lyrics onscreen. xD
Michael T. S. There's lyrics in the video?
and boobies too!
@@play-s-_______-osu wish I could say I was 10. Nope just a 20 year old whos still fascinated with boobies
Honestly this is stylistically very different for MUSE, but in retrospect I think this is arguably their most cohesive and well executed song. Definitely one of their best works.
Oh my god! This is soooooo good. I can't stop listening to this. Guys, this is what i desired! Thank you!
Guess I am not the only one now!
that's what a true Muser says!
Kappinho CRO MUSER? oh god, thats why i hate the internet.
José Manuel Caballero Muñoz Muse fans have been called Musers for ages..
José Manuel Caballero Muñoz Burnnnn
Wow, i've been into Muse since about 15 years ago. I've seen them live 14 times, heard every song over 1000 times. Now this song has me excited! FINALLY, MUSE ARE BACK!!!!
Always when I discover a new song by muse it seems as if it has been written for the situation I am in. I'm deeply grateful for the music this band is making. Thank you so much, Muse!
*Dead inside - Muse*
Feel me now
Hold me please
I need you to see who I am
Open up to me
Stop hiding from me
It's hurting me
Only you can stop the pain
Don't leave me out in the cold
Don't leave me out to die
I gave you everything
I can't give you any more
Now I've become just like you
My lips feel warm to the touch
But my words seem so alive
My skin is warm to caress
I'll control and hypnotize
You've taught me to lie without a trace
And to kill with no remorse
On the outside I'm the greatest guy
Now I'm dead inside
Best part^^^
People keep calling this pop in the comments, really not hearing it... It's still alternative/rock to me... Classic Muse.
***** no... you wouldn't call the majority of things alternative... MJ isn't alternative, ACDC isn't alternative, Linkin Park, EMINEM etc, none of them are alternative... I don't know what you've been told but the name for that noise you hear coming from the radio is called music and not alternative...
It's not progressive or eccentric. Nothing compared to the Bsides of Showbiz
All of you who complained about the lack of insightful lyrics of Psycho can now shut up.
Original Name Psycho wasn't supposed to be insightful. It's about a guy (or girl) being brainwashed, just being told the same misguided things over and over again. Thus those people had nothing to complain about in the first place.
Psycho had a pretty legit message.
AppocalypseKitty117 Oh yeah no I absolutely agree! I'm completely in love with the song and understood straight away. I'm just saying that many people didn't and in fact did say that about the song.
***** lmao what
They still lose points for taking advantage of the modern fixation on sex; If your art doesn't bare weight with out glittery tits your art is shit.
You are amazing and very professional with what you do!! Keep on sharing with us beautiful music and I hope one day soon to see you live in Thessaloniki, Greece!!!
Και μεις στην Αθήνα τι θα απογίνουμε αν οι Muse πάνε μόνο Θεσσαλονίκη?:P
Mag Gic Ας ερθουν Ελλαδα και οπου ειναι θα παμε!
Christina Diorella
Σωστό κι αυτό!Γιατί έχουν να έρθουν από το 2007 αυτοί οι άνθρωποι?Αδικία!!
I really want to see them live, they are amazing! But they wont come to a concert near to me, and I can't travel to one because of school. But the new songs are amazing, just loke their older stuff.
Απ'τη μια αυτη η χαμηλοτερη δημοτικοτητα μας βοηθα, θα ερθουν πολυ πιο ευκολα στο Γκρις...Ελπιζω..
I've had this song stuck in my head for a week now. Can't pass a day without listening to it.
Check out Alexi Garcia's upload of Reapers. I think that's even better.
Exactly I dislike the opening but the song itself is great.
Ryakki How could you not like Psycho? That song rules!
Ryakki I had the exact same experience. I think I'll get used to Psycho but I don't think it will be one of my favorites from this album.
Ryakki I had the exact same experience. I think I'll get used to Psycho but I don't think it will be one of my favorites from this album.
People wanted good lyrics.... They got Fucking GREAT lyrics
GAAAAAAYYYYY
Sincerely, the truth.
Sam Merryweather Motherf-f-f-f-f-f-f-fucking yes!
Agreed. Lyric overload
And boobs... they have boobs.
This is a great song with great lyrics!
I was expecting a electro song for the first track since the first track is always related to the previous album:
- new born's beguining has elements of showbiz
- Take a bow has the apocalyptic feeling of absolution (it was written during that era anyway)
- Uprising sounds like a simpler/popish knights of cydonia
- Supremacy has the symphonic and heavy elements of the resistance.
- Dead inside has the electronic stuff from T2L
Can I quote you for life?
I love you for ever and ever
I believe in this statement 100% but what about absolution what song from absolution has elements of origin of symmetry
omb, I knew Take a Bow and Uprising were related to their previous album, but I never analyzed it that way ! Now to see if Drones will end in a grande finale just like Knights of Cydonia, Exogenesis Symphony and The 2nd Law tracks.
C. McBean apocalypse please is made with psychotic pianos and belted vocals that pretty much made OoS what it is
This is my favorite song EVER. It's just so emotional, and deep, an even has an amazing solo. I just cried when I first heard this song. Thank you, Matt, for making my life better.
This song gives me chills! I can so easily relate! I love it, can't wait for the album!
That's a really good song. But you? Dead inside? Surely you must mean someone you met.
Chance Selvidge but you know, this song ist not really about a girl...
Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.", But also, "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse." - Matthew Bellamy

same reaction i had with madness:
1st listen: ehh
2nd listen: huh kinda catchy
3rd listen: *nods head to beat*
4th listen: *nods harder*
5th listen: sings along (attempting anyway)
6th listen: This song is awesome.
FOR THOSE WHO LISTENED ONCE AND WAS LIKE EHH, GIVE IT A CHANCE, it will consume you with madness and make you DEAD INSIDE!!!!!!!
7th listen: DEAD INSIDE!!
1st listen to Survival - *meh*
Last night watching War Child - *So this is the best thing on the internet, yeah?*
1st listen to psycho - *"it's aight"*
12 hours later I was telling my mother *"Your ass belongs to me now!"*
I'm pretty sure I only need to listen to this twice more before I lose all my shit completely.
"it will consume you with madness and make you DEAD INSIDE!!!!!!!" Sounds bad...
tenlegdragon
Already done.
End of story
DRONES
Your comment should be written everywhere! I totally agree.
You are so right about everything. But muse is not all about matt, so dont forget chris and dominic.
shawn spicer I wish comments like this had a "share" feature
shawn spicer All 3 members of the band make Muse.
Such a dynamic sound.. It's kind of difficult to describe the emotions that this song invokes. Inspiring, yet melancholy... It's wonderful!
I'm obsessed with this song
albums of muse on my opinion:
Showbiz - very good
Origin of Symmetry - amazing
Absolution - awensome
Black Holes and Revelations - VERY AMAZING
the Resistance - still VERY AMAZING
the 2nd Law - still amazing
Drones -..... i think it will be amazing
how is 2nd law better than showbiz jesus
Good songs on Showbiz:
Sunburn
Muscle Museum
Cave
Showbiz
Unintended
Uno
Sober
Escape
Good songs on The 2nd Law:
Supremacy
Panic Station
Animals
that's way less
pigammon only my opinion, you like Showbiz more than me, i like 2nd Law more than you
Showbiz - great
Origins of symmetry - fucking great
Absolution - great
Black holes and revelations - great
Resistance - still can be called good, songs are getting more unoriginal
2nd law - absolute fucking shit, not a single good song, animals was kinda close, supremacy is just a kashmir ripoff, madness is alright, the rest was just fucking garbage.
Drones - one retarded rock song, one retarded pop song, thus far.
pigammon You are right, but you forgot to mention the newton abbot wich had a lot of realy nice stuff, and the Do we need this ? that was pretty awesome too.
Юрий Гагарин Ой, космонавт пожалуйста.
I only found out about this song a week ago. listening to the radio. I was hooked after a few seconds. It still sends pleasant shivers down my spine because it's so good.
Same here.
where i live you will never hear muse on the radio :(
In Chile, the radio that plays Muse, it only plays Madness, Panic Station, Mercy, Uprising and Supermassive Black Hole. It's good, yes, but it could be better.
What radio? I've never listened to Muse in the radio :( and I don't know why I'm talking to you in english when I'm from Chile too 😂
Javi Javishu Rock and Pop.
Man, year in, year out , new albums and everything, and the Muse remains absurdly animal.
Please, come back soon to Brazil.
There's none "that was better in the past" to say.
It's newer and it's great like this. Please live now and not in the past!
Awesome Muse New Song!
Getting so sick of all the people complaining about this. Shut up and be gracefull with what you get. I actually really like the new Muse songs and I'm really excited about Drones. It's just sad that people always want to say something bad, like that's more exciting than saying something good for once.
Sorry for being a hypocrite.
Well said! I´m really sad people saying these things - don´t they care how members of Muse would feel if they read these. There have been many bands in my life I don´t like anymore but I don´t go complaining to them. Go away and let others enjoy this beautiful song.
Or how about you actually take the time to use your brains and criticize something now and then instead of mindlessly liking it?? hmm??
I love listening to Muse mindlessly.. Using your brains is absolutely not a bad thing, but sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment without thinking.. At least that's what I like to do. I guess I just didn't like reading the comments afterwards, wasn't expecting any bad ones.
What if they don't like it? There's a reason comments are a thing
The visual effects fit the song so perfectly that I couldn't take my eyes away from it.
*sigh*
People will always complain. Saw this played live last night - thought it was awesome and I still love it, like 20+ plays later. Muse are incredible!
I think it's safe to assume this caught EVERYONE off guard
In a great way though.
SystemBirth definitely
Muse have a way with first singles.
Everything about this album and tour has been *super* sneaky
jayPB08 I don't understand, it's really not very different to their other material
fantastic vocals in this song
I think he is a good artist but it would be awesome to see muse do a 007 theme song even though Supremacy sounds a lot like a song for 007
Daniel John Clement amen to that
Daniel John Clement Thought this could totally be a Bond theme and could use the visuals for the opening credits, even the lyrics are pretty close to describing who Bond is! Also, the chick in this video has great jubblies!
If they didn't take Butterfly's and Hurricanes I doubt they'll take anything.
This is that kind of songs which stuck in your head for days and days
This was the band that made me want to start playing guitar. Now can do most of their most famous guitar solos. Awesome band!!!!!
This music video looks like a James Bond intro credits.
So true!!
I was thinking the same thing! 😂
The outstanding quality of Muse songs should make that the favorable option to showcase in a Bond film. I'm surprised they never used a Muse song. Oh well World War Z is good too I guess. I hope more franchises use songs from Muse.
Shoulda
This song is so powerful!
Unmatched vocals. Beautiful. I love the 80s disco sound they used.
I love Matt's voice
It's like the transition track from the 2nd Law to Drones
that's the best description so far!
This.
YES! And this song is the first one on the album so it makes sense! Hah. Good point :)
agreed!
You, sir, are a genius
Surely I can't be the one that had an eargasm at 31-37 seconds when Matt does the harmony with his voice? Like seriously, that one line makes my heart flutter!
i actually like this video more than the official video
shay campbell Yeah, the interpretive dance kind of clashes with the point the song is making, maybe I'm just not getting something but this one gives like a "human drone" type feel. The exception is in the beginning and end of the other video of course, and how his movements match hers before that then his eyes go dead. Those parts are better, but the stuff in between...
BlueAmpharos I think it's the juxtaposition between the image and audio that brings the impact
Ewan Marmo Bissell Fair enough
me too!
I like the official video.. It fixes perfectly with the music to me
This is the MUSE I like..sound,lyrics,everything! I can't wait for this album!
Luis Faraudo I think people were expecting a a rock song especially with a title like that. Also Muse said they were going back to their roots
Never thought about it that way, but yeah, it isn't as grand and drawn out as some of the T2L stuff. It's a rather stripped track.
well yes, they don't know what they're talking about, they just use the wrong reasons, I personally hate it because it sounds like cringeworthy, mediocre pop and isn't even half as catchy as madness
awesome song, sounds as epic as a 007 theme song can be without being one. i listen to muse since origin of simmetry and i thoroughly enjoy what they've became and what they sound like after almost 15 years
Whats your opinion on their new stuff, including simulation theory and anniversary edition of origin of symmetry?
First we get a new Breaking Benjamin song and now Muse? This Monday is looking pretty great right now!
I KNOW RIGHTTTTTTTTTT!!!! BEST MONDAY EVER!
Indeed. Mondays usually suck but today was a pretty good start of the week.
And a new Three days grace song xD
xRecoNx MetallicX what is the name of the new song???? XD
Diego Rollón Voces Darude - Sandstorm
Muse is and always will be the best band ever. They are perfection! Thank you again for an album that is a masterpiece.
The end of this song is my life ❤
His voice is just too great!
I've been a fan of Muse for a very long time, and I have to say that this song.. is freaking amazing!
Fahk Yes.
This is the definition of masterpiece and it deserves billion views and all the awards I will use it on my channel playlist!
There mixing it up abit, I like it. It's better than them being stuck to one thing. New album is gonna be good :3
Lewis Smith Yeah I thought they're only gonna play straight forward hard rock like they've teased us in their Instagram videos...well, the contrast between Psycho and Dead Inside (the first two songs on the album) is pretty massive, plus Matt confirmed The Globalist to be a sequel to Citizen Erased. I'm expecting everything from 80s rock (like this one) to hard rock (Reapers) and heavy songs to be on the album. Can't wait!
TheMuseArchive Reapers is pretty 80's as well.
TheMuseArchive I didn't know that! I LOVE Citizen erased! Good News! :)
Very NSFW. But also very MUSE. Can we just have the whole album now please? Thanks.
#Muse #MuseDrones #DeadInside
Urgh neither Psycho or this has blown me away. They're good but I haven't that immediate 'YES' feeling.
Reapers seems more promising at least (coming from someone who loves 2nd Law).
Same here Josh Unwin. I like them, but they haven't made me go 'ERMERGHERD!'
"Very NSFW"
What?
ya know. cuz naked people.
***** Ya know, boobs.
NSFW = not safe for work (if you somehow don't know that..)
I hear so much queen in their music, it's just amazing I think they are now my favorite band out right now....
I love the sound of his Matt's voice in this one. Pure eargasm.
First time listening:Iis that Muse, why is it pop music? I am so confused ...
Second Time: I get the lyrics, I like it
Third Time: MORE MORE
Verdict: this song is like a skow drug that needs time to reach your brain but when it does you are addicted lol
Fourth time: "Wait, that sounds like Sign o' the Times! The 80s are back!" haha
Same thing with "Madness".
I agree, very powerful.
Bread inside!
Revere a million grains
And draw me into your wheatyness
But there's no yeast there
Oven only bakes those loaves that don't contain hair
Unleash a million loaves
And cover me then bake me babe
Do you have no ingredients?
It's like you ran out long ago
Your pieces feel warm to the touch
You can bring me vitaman A,D and C
On the outside you're all crust and hard
But you're bread inside!
I'll have you know I just came up with this and I'm proud.
lol, here's a version from reddit:
Bread Inside
by /r/muse
from the album Scones
.
[Intro]
Bread Inside!
.
[Verse]
I'd eat
A million breads
You draw me into your bakery
But there's nothing there
Bread only comes from those who sell
I'd eat
A million scones
And confections. Are you selling, babe?
Do you sell no bread?
It's like you are
One of them
.
[Chorus]
Your crust feels warm to the touch
You can bring me back to life
On the outside, you are glazed and ashine
But you're bread inside!
.
[Verse]
You're free to bake the rye
Whilst I am kneaded and pulverized
Because you need control
Now I'm the one who's baked by you
You like to give a crumb
Whilst I am giving whole loaves of me
But now I've got nothing left
You have no cares and I'm bereft
.
[Chorus]
Your dough feels warm to caress
I see bread crumbs in your eyes
On the outside, you are glazed and ashine
But you're bread inside!
.
[Bridge]
Feed me now, hold me please
I need you to see who I am
Open up to me! Stop baking me!
I'm burning babe only you can stop the pain
Don't leave me out to cool off
Don't leave me as a rye
I gave you everything
I can't give you anymore
Now I've become just like you
My crust feel warm to the touch
My slices are slim and nice
My dough is warm to caress
I'll be eaten by a guy
You've taught me to knead without a trace
And to bake with no remorse
On the outside
I'm the greatest rye
Now I'm Bread Inside!
+TurtleneckSweaters From Animal Jam make a youtube video aout it :P
+TurtleneckSweaters From Animal Jam Nice!
epiiiiic xD
I'm proud of you.
Psycho's to the face lyrics fit the topic of general brainwashing into killer machines either beeing a radical fashist or the psycho killer for the really high estabelishment or if you are following others thoughts without questioning in general some of matt bellamy's latest interviews give you pretty much a good picture of what went through his mind while he wrote those lyrics :D
Anyway looking forward to drones aswell
The only song I may have get to used to so far is reapers
Kevin G
Well I get your point. However, I still don't think I'm going to like Psycho in the context of the album. This track, however, could be amazing.
Well said my friend.
I saw this live at Manchester 8/4/2016.
The power and emotion of the performance gave me goosebumps. I was blown away and permanently affected!
Pretty amazing video and song! Muse have done it again! One of the best bands since 2000!
LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Radio Gaga meets Wild Boys. Dom, Chris & Matt Bring back the early 80's :)
Good call!
New album is gonna have great variety, already feel it will be better than 2nd Law. Reapers sounds so Epic in concert can't wait for studio version.
Yep. Sounds really diverse already. Reapers was a massive treat (Newport). I remember saying to the missus, "Jesus...look at his fingers on that guitar!"
I was also thinking it sounded like Queen! :D
Can't believe Jaxon & I might see U2, MUSE & RUSH in a couple months span.
3:14 he really NAILS the word "leave" so much emotion. Very nice.
Awesome! I really dig this song. If you need a model for the next lyric video, my body is ready after this groovy groove.
i'm not the biggest fan of this song, at least not yet. maybe after a few more times i will find a deep connection to this! i am a huge muse fan and even though i'm not quite as warmed up to drones as i was to black holes and revelations for example, i will still appreciate their work and respect them through their evolving sound :)
I'm just saying, but to like a song after you heared it much times, is not quite the right order, because you just acustomed with the song. You have to hear it, love it, and hear it so often, that after some time (maybe years) it will swell outside your ears :D
But I know what you mean, the basic melody is so boring. I can turn on the radio if I wanna hear this melody. For compensation there is a guitar solo and Matt's great singing skills. The drums can be played by my 6years old nephew, who is so musical like a buffalo xD
char starling I agree with you, I 'm not a big fan of esta cancion , but I hope the rest of songs from the new album has the old style True MUSE
*****
Absolutely no one said anything critical. People are just nostalgic. nothing wrong with that. Even if Muse evolves their music it's still their creation and people still respect them.
***** don't tell people how to listen to music
The bridge in this song is so epic
So, if Psycho is Survival and this is Madness, the best is yet to come!
Supremacy ? or Panic Station ?
Survivor? I'm pretty sure it's called Survival.
Unrelated, but I love your profile pic. Agent Nahman Jayden FBI is da king
Whoops yeah Survival, brain freeze.
Davide Consolini Survival was one of the best. more like Panic Station.
I really need to stop reading UA-cam comments and just enjoy the fact that MUSE IS BACK
One of the best songs ever?
Is this the new Bond movie song? Judging by the video style and lyrics it wouldn't surprise me at all.
Yeah the next Bond movie is about James getting turned into a psycho killer because he falls in love with a double agent who is also a psychopath with the mission to make Bond the villain.
Count To .Infinity That would actually be one hell of a Bond story lol.
Glad I'm not only one who thought this it sounds like it could be a bond start song !
Kyle budd and so did supremacy as that was meant for skyfall but oh well we can only dream, that one day muse will get their bond song
David Hudson That IS a bond story, that essentially the whole plot of Casino Royale haha
Man this hits home. Cry over it? No, just keep going. Narcissists hate to see you happy. Fuck em. Live your best life without them.
1 year ago and still can't stop listening this masterpiece
+Olga Lotsari It's been a year looks like yesterday and I always listen it like first time
+balazs207 me too can't wait to listen it live at 23th of July
In our country they will come at 13th of August I'm really looking forward to it
balazs207 they belong to a small group of bands/singers that are better live than audio it's gonna be awesome!! have fun
Agreed u2 :)
You never disappoint us you gods!! Love love love 'till the end of time!!
Holy shit this is good stuff!
Kevin L So hyped for the new album, i'm loving Psycho and this one!
Kevin L check out their new Song "Reapers". Its awesome as well!
WHERE CAN I FIND THAT?
***** Where in your head did it seem like a good idea to scroll through the comments of a MUSE video to HATE on muse fans? Seriously dude, get a life.
What makes you say its for that reason? You have no evidence to state that most commenters here are liking the song "because its muse"
I really like this guy's voice. It's got a really nice balance between smoothness and roughness.
Imagine getting told this song was written for you.
Is the word "drones" gonna be in every song???
was thinking that, too.
perhaps the only song without the word drones in the lyrics will be "Drones"...
Usually concept albums have lyrics or bits of music which are in almost every song just listen to any Pink Floyd album
Walter Duthie That would be sorta funny
Maybe they've drone it on purpose.
maybe yes, maybe no XD
First time I listened to this song, I though "is this really Muse??" .. and since than, I listen to it every day :D
Definitely not what I was expecting, but surprisingly enjoyable, in my opinion :)
Same here. I listen to it multiple times a day!
the part after "now i've become just like you" is the most perfect thing that has ever happened to me and im still so in love with muse
