    This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

    if the side of the water heater is leveled, isn't bottom of it should be level too?

    This looks awful. At least try to cut your 2x6's straight? Wouldn't give me great confidence in the rest of the install.

      EXACTLY what I was thinking on the 2 X 6's horrible install, but they probably do tons of these. still no excuse.

    Like others have stated, it is not a very clean install. I have no doubt it works and is up to code, but I would be pissed if I paid for a professional install and this was the result.

    I JUST INSTALLED MY ru130in RINNAI, I CAN JUST GET HOT WATER IF I TURN 1 FAUCET AND A SHOWER OR 2 FAUCETS AT THE SAME TIME.. ANY CLUE?

      @ultimateplumbingrepairinc.7439  5 років тому

      Hey Arnaldo, so you're only getting hot water to 1 fixture at a time or you need to turn on 2 fixtures to get hot water?

    • @fly4fun24
      @fly4fun24 5 років тому

      I just figured it out, there is a delta temp versus min. flow that the unit uses to prevent the heating element from burning out. I had it set to 98F for my showers. The water coming in was 84f from the street. The difference was to small for the unit safely start. I had to bump the temp. to 110F to meet the minimum criteria btw temp and minimum flow .

    • @fly4fun24
      @fly4fun24 5 років тому

      @@ultimateplumbingrepairinc.7439 I NEEDED to open 2 FAUCETS full blown to get the minimum flow for the unit to start. I explained on a comment earlier that i figured it out.

    Code requires at least 18" of copper pipe off of hot side because of water temperature, after that you can turn into pex.

    ’Im currently having built a log cabin on a trailer from Lancaster log cabins. Included in my cabin is a regular tank water heater, but I sprung extra $ for a tankless water heater. They install the water heater outside on the rear of the trailer. In speaking with a few friends, most have agreed concerns about the water heater freezing in the winter months when no hot water is sought. I know nothing about these systems, although I’ve attempted to find out info on them. I can still have them put a tank water heater in, I’m not sure which way to go.
    I’d like to use the cabin in the winter months, It is going to be in the poconos (Pennsylvania)
    I may try to winterize each weekend I’m done using. In your professional opinion would it be better for me to just stick with the tank water heater or get the tankless? Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Oh the tankless water heater is made by rinnai on demand V53dep

    our on demand / tank-less water heater system is messed up. This one has a recalculation pump. It seem we only get hot water when another hot water tap is open than it seems to heat water fine than after a minute the water flow completely shuts off. If I turn the hot water valve off for a minute or so it will turn on with good flow for about a minute than completely shuts off the water flow. Anyone every had this issue, and how did you fix it ? Thanks

    • @laythenyoung8212

      Sounds like your flow rate is not high enough at the first faucet. Replace it with a faucet that will do at least .4 gpm and retry

    • @Berry_MaCocknher
      @Berry_MaCocknher 3 роки тому

      They work on demand, so as soon as you turn your hot water on in the shower or kitchen sink, the heater senses the flow of water and kicks on the burner. In my tankless it's a 200,000 BTU burner. So basically it only heats the water as you use it, it doesn't keep it stored and hot like a conventional hot water heater. Hope that helps.
