Update - I spent a couple hours on it today and got used to it. I think the hesitation was mostly me instinctively backing off the throttle a bit. It shifts smooth and accurately now :)
I bought a 2017 FJ-09 back at the end of March. My 6th gear whines loudly between 47 and 68 mph. It bugs the hell out of me when I'm just out for a leisurely ride. How about your FZ? Do yo have the same issue?
I bet third gear does the same thing. Its the way the gears are cut. I like the sound. Make sure its not your chain slack, as per the forums it is agreed the manual spec was off. Although this may be corrected on the 2017.
TwoWheelObsession ...Lol. The 1st time I rode a bike with a quick shift, I instinctively rolled off the throttle while shifting too. The shifts were very rough. Once you get used to keeping the throttle stable, it shifts very smooth. Takes a bit of getting used to but, once you become programmed to no roll off it is tons of fun! One of the best mods imo. Ride safe!👊🏼
Mine has the same exact whine at the same exact speeds. I had Yamaha check it out and they said it is perfectly normal. It doesn’t bother me. But then again every bike has its own little quirks and I accept that.
I am saving to buy an FZ-09 cash and I have watched a ton of your videos today.. I have learned so much; from buying the bike, suspension adjustment, to upgrades. Ty for the great content. Subscribed!
I hope you got the bike bro, it's well worth it! I put 6.5k on mine and financed the rest. I went from a gsxr 600 and 750, and I wish I had a bike like this all along.. such a fun bike
Wow dude, I just about broke my foot trying to turn the damn QS light on. You're not kidding, it's a LOT of pressure. Didn't work after trying 10 times with what I thought was a lot of pressure. Tried even harder with a now sore foot and it finally worked.
Thanks for the video. Couldn't wait for this one after I saw you got the QS. Can't wait until mine comes in. Have had the '17 since Saturday and I love it.
Wait, these don't come as standard in the US? Bummer. Took possession of my new MT09 yesterday, absolutely fantastic bike except for the headlights at night.
Hi, I took my FZ09 for a ride yesterday. After about 30 minutes of riding I noticed that downshifting from 4 to 3 or lower became difficult to do. The shift lever would feel spongy when I pressed it down but would not shift. I would need to fully disengage my foot from the lever or even tug the lever up from under a bit before it would shift down. Have you had any problems like this? I wonder if it is the clutch cable that is loose or something else is going. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Chris Provencher can you possibly send me the part numbers on each piece? Like the rods, bolts, cables & plugs. I already have a quickshifter that I took off my R1 but that's all I have. Thanks.
TwoWheelObsession I noticed each component in this kit has its own part number. The OEM quickshifter I have is off my 2016 R1 and it's the same one the FZ 09 uses.
I just got my part in today. 119 dollars well spent, i hope. Lol.. so far you made me get this QS, and the comfort seat. As on all my bikes, levers from ASV and tech spec tank grips are a must.. I pity the fool who rides with stock levers. Lol..
How sensitive is the load cell? Is it easily tripped or do you have to make a deliberate effort to shift up? Do the instructions explain why the overall length matters?
Strange to see my cigar guy doing bike upgrades, knew you had bikes in the garage from the cigar videos. Yea your right sounds like the ms of ignition stop is too long but that's Yamaha fault I guess. Still good educational video on the install, from a FZ6 owner and cigar smoker lol
Just installed on my Tracer, video was very helpful. Why do you think the directions are so precise? It seems to me the actuation of the quickshifter would be the same. My only guess is they want it as close to possible as the stock length? I may adjust the (dual threaded) shift rod for pedal position
hi sorry for the inconvenience. i have a little problem i have a 2016 mt09 and i bought the yamaha quickshifter but i can't find where the connection is on my bike. please need help
The quickshifter works with FJ-09 (MT-09 Tracer) and FZ-09 (MT-09) for 2017+. The XSR900 has no changes from 2016 (since it actually includes all the updates done to the FJ and FZ-09 in '17) so it doesn't work on that model from 2016 or 2017. I have an FJ-09 '15 and an XSR900 '16 and can't install the quickshifter in either :(
My XSR900 does have the port under the tank to attach the QS. Do you have the same kind of wiring? Maybe it is there but it doesn't work with the ECU. Thanks!
Hi i make bought this qs and make the installation today thanks to you really.. İ still try to get used to this i want to ask is it necessary to go to service and make some set ups on ecu or something else ??(i have 2017 FJ09)
So I’m putting the rapid bike auto tuning fuel management tuning module on my 2019 mt09 with a SC project crt full exhaust and sprint filter. With this quick shifter will I need a new sensor that goes to the tuner or will this one be fine with what it comes with. Thanks for the video bro!
hello sir, just had a question.. after installing a quickshifter ,it is can use directly or need special a setting such a dyno setting.thank you ,sir..
Hey twowheelobsession,. I just install my gytr on my 2020 r6. After watching your video. I went to follow your directions. I got my ECU flash before the shifter. But it’s not working. The light is on but it’s not shifting when I take it for a ride. Any suggestions??
Thanks for good installation videos:) I think I have done almost the same upgrades with my mt-09. As you mentioned in another video the rear shock is a bit bumpy. I video of how to change it would be great.
So the registered pressure is in range to work with the preprogrammed values. Moving it too far off axis changes the leverage. I do wish they used a standalone pressure sensor like third part units that worked on the stock shaft and then gave you a way to adjust the sensitivity like the Healtec on my FJR. But it's all baked in to the ECU.
During the activation process, just to be clear, you don't actually have to "shift up"? Just hold enough pressure to just prior to an actual shift? Thanks.
Well I installed my QS.. it was a little tricky to get the length just right and a pain in the butt to get the connector on. But wow is it great. Not sure how people say it's not smooth, because it just slips in gear and doesn't lag or jerk one bit.. I'm thinking people are not giving it a positive shift and or letting off the throttle and that feels kinda rough when you do that.. I honestly don't know how a QS could be any better?
Ok this gonna be a little long but as much in out the better. Ok yesterday afternoon I installed the Yamaha Quick shifter. Everything went smooth lined up with correctness. All last evening it worked flawlessly. Then I went down into DC today and at first everything worked like it should. Then about a littl over half way thru my ride and it was SO hot out, then the problems started to occur. I can shift fine up, but it’s coming down is the problem. Ok going down from 6 to 5 isn’t bad it’s when I can finally get int 4 is the huge problem. Once I’m in 4th it’s so hard to get into 3 and 2nd then especially 1st. At times it seems as though when I have the clutch fully pulled in and I’ll give it a quick rpm rev to get it to drop a gear but it’s not very reliable doing this . As I have stated a 100 times this is driving me insane. I’ve been giving much thought of just putting the stock shifter bar back on. Also on a side not I’ve noticed the rubber grip that on the tip of the shifter has been slowly sliding further off at times till i fix it before. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I added my QS Wednesday ,it was super easy to install,I thought Yamaha should have included 2 extra jam nuts instead of making us reuse the 2 on the bike.. Ordered it in May,came in to my dealer in august ..Works well,I like it..the 1-2 shift is a bit bumpy compared to the other up shifts....The hesitation is a tuning issue on Yamahas part,Im sure that can be smoothed out .
hi mate thx for the video you help me a lot i buy now the shifter for my tracer and i install by my self .one question please you can only shift it up or also down wihout clutch? you the man.
Thank you. Your spot on love your videos. Directions are so good saves a lot of time 100% . Have you ever had a problem with the starter after a long spin from being hot (won't start un till is get cold) how do the starter come out. Im a bit lost around taking the carbs out to get at it .Thanks Fjr1300
I find that in gears 1-3 there is a bit of a lurch using the qs. 4-6 are almost undetectable when it shifts. Would you say that is true with your bike also? Overall, it was extremely easy to install and I love having it available on the bike.
TWO, love your channel, Just got mine today, gonna do the install. Was there anything that gave you grief during the install? It seems pretty straightforward. Just curious sometimes the magic of video takes the frustrating parts out.
My 2015 fz09 doesn't have a quick shifter and I can upshift without clutch. I normally don't but its really not that difficult. I do it on my dirtbike too. Am I missing something?
It's easy. I just did mine today. It's more tricky then it looks, hardest part is getting the blank plug off and plugging it back in, it's a tight tight fit. I honestly do not understand why the measurements need to be so exact, but I did it anyways. Let us know if you run into any issues.
Hey man thanks for the video, I just installed it in my 09 2017 and now I cant shift and the QS doesnt work. It's hard to find the 2nd gear and I cant go to 3rd or higher, what could it be?
I just installed this following your instructions and everything went together well. I was able to activate the QS but it does not work. Any suggestions? I’ve tried at all RPMs and speeds, when pressing up on the shifter it will not change gears.
TwoWheelObsession thanks for the quick reply!! Love your videos! Would the QS light have activated without a successful connection? I’ve tried shifting a ton of times, even WOT to make sure I wasn’t subconsciously cutting the throttle.
TwoWheelObsession I wanted to send an update and maybe it’ll help other people. UPDATE: I found my issue, I swapped levers to a pair of shorty ASV levers. These levers were not depressing the switch on the underside of the clutch lever, the ECU must have thought the clutch was disengaged therefore not allowing me to use the short shifter function. I tested by depressing the pin while riding and the quick shifter now works as expected. For now, I have disconnected this switch until I find a better solution. Thanks again for your help, keep up the awesome work on your channel !!!
TwoWheelObsession it wasn’t an issue with the clearance, everything was in spec. The issue is that the ASV levers are missing the block off plate that extends from the lever body to trigger the switch. Either way, I’m glad it’s working now. It’s definitely worth it, thanks again!
For what it is worth I placed an order for a quickshifter last Wednesday and it arrived today. From my local Ontario (Canada) dealership. Maybe the back order is only a US thing.
You'll soon get used to it and you'll be shifting unnecessarily haha. Luckily it came as standard on mine in the UK, gives a lovely pop with the Akra Carbon on up shifts without the DB :)
hey jada question installed on my 2018 mt09 and it works got the light on but have been having the issue of it not letting me down shift now with the clutch it's like it cant find the gears I ended up getting it home it was out of tolerance not buy much but still out fixed it but cant test it becuase of snow. can the measurement effect it not being able to down shift properly it upshifted fine no issues also bike has 22 miles on it so deffently doubt anything is toasted on it.
Just installed today but am having trouble adjusting the height of the shifter since it has to be a certain length. Should I adjust the shifter by the splines?
@ 19:20 Bryan realizes, that oil temperature DOES matter ;) Personally, I would never use these QS with an cold engine, it might be to much stress for the gearbox w/o the right lubrication.
Mine shifts the same as yours appears to shift. I have no issues with that snappy feeling. I actually prefer that over a smoother one. Reminds me of back in the day buying a shift kit for my old Monte Carlo. Lol. Anyhow, I love the QS. Not sure how you paid extra for it if you got it where I did. Maybe shipping.
Yes. It depends on the load and when you shift. Mine is much smoother as well now that I'm used to it. I adjusted my lever a bit lower, at first it was too high. I think that played a small part because it was off from stock at first after installing the QS. . When I see the QS lit up on the dash and cars wanna play games with me, i feel like I own them. Haha
I've installed the OEM quickshifter, but failed at activating the feature on the bike. I've read many different techniques on how to activate it. The instructions from Yamaha simply states to push up on the shift lever and turn on to "Run," then hold the lever in the up position for 10 seconds. Let pressure off the lever, and the QS light should light up. Well, that QS light never light up for me. Some say to hold the clutch lever while holding the shift lever up for 10 sec, but I don't think this is the Yamaha chalked up. I've tried the process from gear 3 to 4, or gear 4 to 5 to no avail. I've tried multiple attempts from 1 to N...or 2 to no avail as well. The activation part should not be difficult at all.
I've finally activated the QS function. The process should straight forward as stated on the instructions, but in reality it's not. I started the engine and shifted through 1 thru 6 gears. Then downshifted down to 2; shut off the engine; held the shift lever up; turn ignition key to "run" position; held the shift lever for 12 sec; left go of the lever; and it finally happened -- the QS light illuminated. I've been stoked since. The quickshifter works flawlessly. This thing is like having an automatic DCT tranny when accelerating.
I see it only works on the up-shift. I guess it was developed for drag racing? I have an '06 FJR 13 paddle-shifter which makes more sense to me in the real world of riding. But that, of course took a lot more internal engineering by Yamaha. It is interesting that riders are clamoring for the QS, but the FJR paddle shifter was a sales flop. Have fun as always. Love your videos.
No, not just for drag racing. It's a LOT of fun just riding around. The key difference between the two is, you have no choice on the FJR and have much less low speed control. With a quick shifter, you always have the clutch option. Most people prefer to only shift with their foot too, not on the grip.
I get it. Fun is the operative word. You are right about my FJR. There is learning curve and a technique to low speed handling. But FUN it is. Enjoy that FJ09.
"I see them on e-bay from time to time from other dealerships. For a premium of course." What do you think your stealership was doing? Of course they were taking the ones they got in from Yamaha and posting them on e-bay for a premium instead of fulfilling your order first. Just like the stealership you bought that quickshifter from did to their customers.
Because Yamaha didn't add the function to the ECU. You can add one of several aftermarket though - either standalone like healtech or one though your ECU flash if you have done so.
Sorry to bug you on an old topic, there is an EBay buyer feedback comment that claims "10/10. Repinned and installed on 2016 XSR900, flawless." on OEM QS purchase, do you know of any new hacks?
Update - I spent a couple hours on it today and got used to it. I think the hesitation was mostly me instinctively backing off the throttle a bit. It shifts smooth and accurately now :)

I don't BS lol
I just installed mine tonight on my 17 FZ09. So much fun for $139.00
This video was helpful to make sure I did it all correctly! Thanks!
Where did u buy it ?
where you buy it ??
Thanks for the video. Couldn't wait for this one after I saw you got the QS. Can't wait until mine comes in. Have had the '17 since Saturday and I love it.
Excellent install guide, helped me install my own today 👍🏻
I know this is an older video, but it was a great instructional. I just ordered mine for my 2020. Will be my first QS bike
Great video. Works great on a 2021 XSR900 with 1 exception….. There is no L bracket to clip the harness onto. Thanks for helping.
Nice video man. Got mine installed on my 2019 Yamaha MT-09. Great instructions. Easy to follow on the install. Respect.
Where did you get yours at?
Great video! I ordered mine a couple of days ago, and it's always nice to see something installed before taking it on.
Man you weren't kidding about pulling up hard on the shifter, just installed on 2019 MT-09.
Wait, these don't come as standard in the US? Bummer.
Took possession of my new MT09 yesterday, absolutely fantastic bike except for the headlights at night.
Thank you for the instructions. I just installed mine without a hitch following your instructions.
Thanks.
Problem solved. I had the heim joint bolt too tight which was preventing the shift lever to freely bounce back to position.
I have a BMW S1000R and the quick shifter works better when the engine has warmed up.
Hi from England! Thanks for this video and many others you helped me to work on my mt09 tracer or FJ 09 as it's called over there
YOU ARE THE MAN WITH THE PLAN
My QS came in last night, I'll be following your instructions to install mine this weekend.. I can't wait! It looks like alot of fun!
Chris Provencher can you possibly send me the part numbers on each piece? Like the rods, bolts, cables & plugs. I already have a quickshifter that I took off my R1 but that's all I have. Thanks.
Edgar that's not how it works, at all. But the proper kit, period.
TwoWheelObsession I noticed each component in this kit has its own part number. The OEM quickshifter I have is off my 2016 R1 and it's the same one the FZ 09 uses.
@@tiradoed it is the same qs, just different rod length.
I just got my part in today. 119 dollars well spent, i hope. Lol.. so far you made me get this QS, and the comfort seat. As on all my bikes, levers from ASV and tech spec tank grips are a must.. I pity the fool who rides with stock levers. Lol..
Where did you get yours at?
Will this work for 2015 FZ09 as well ? or i have to go for aftermarket option ?
How sensitive is the load cell? Is it easily tripped or do you have to make a deliberate effort to shift up?
Do the instructions explain why the overall length matters?
They don't explain anything but a few guys have got it wrong and it was hard to shift. Mine shifts like butter.
Hi Bryan! Another great video, thanks a lot! I have up/down QS on my GS and I will not be considering a bike without one anymore. :)
hi sorry for the inconvenience. i have a little problem i have a 2016 mt09 and i bought the yamaha quickshifter but i can't find where the connection is on my bike. please need help
I've been thinking of getting a QS, but having only been riding for over a year, maybe not a good idea. This Vid may have changed my mind. Looks fun.
I have an FJ-09 '15 and an XSR900 '16 and can't install the quickshifter in either :(
So, this does not work on the 2017 XSR900? That's odd, and a bummer.
Thank you thank you. This was so simple and made the bike 100% more fun! Any plans on installing a steering damper?
So I’m putting the rapid bike auto tuning fuel management tuning module on my 2019 mt09 with a SC project crt full exhaust and sprint filter. With this quick shifter will I need a new sensor that goes to the tuner or will this one be fine with what it comes with. Thanks for the video bro!
hello sir, just had a question.. after installing a quickshifter ,it is can use directly or need special a setting such a dyno setting.thank you ,sir..
There's nothing to do
Hey twowheelobsession,.
Picking up a MT-09 tomorrow Would you still recommend this ?? There’s a few available on amazon
Yep
Why are the measurement so precise? Cant you adjust it to your liking once installed (lets say you want the shifter a little lower)
Thanks.
Yes just pressure
Thanks I tried it this morning just as you showed and worked first try.

Does the QS also work in reverse - as in downshifts without clutch and partial open throttle? TIA
no
I am a bit confused, the quickshifter is standard on all 2017 MT09's here in Australia, why is it an optional extra over there??
Ask Yamaha
Hiroshima tax bro.
Good video! Installing mine today .
I added my QS Wednesday ,it was super easy to install,I thought Yamaha should have included 2 extra jam nuts instead of making us reuse the 2 on the bike.. Yes! Been waiting for this video!
I noticed you mentioned '17. Will that work on a '15 fj09?
Can I do this on my 2015 fz09? Or does it only work on the later facelifted models?
Great video!
17 plus
hi mate thx for the video you help me a lot i buy now the shifter for my tracer and i install by my self .one question please you can only shift it up or also down wihout clutch? you the man.
Up only
Thank you. Your spot on love your videos. Directions are so good saves a lot of time 100% . Have you ever had a problem with the starter after a long spin from being hot (won't start un till is get cold) how do the starter come out. Im a bit lost around taking the carbs out to get at it .Thanks Fjr1300
It’s self learning system. If ON auto in settings.
Nice video mate 🤜🤛
I just order mine for Ducati Diavel Carbon....! Will test and post!
Cheers
Uh, no it’s not.

TWO, love your channel, Just got mine today, gonna do the install. Was there anything that gave you grief during the install? It seems pretty straightforward. Just curious sometimes the magic of video takes the frustrating parts out.
I don't do vids like that - what you see is what you get :)
TwoWheelObsession got it done, no issues either, thanks for the video. I will agree it works really well. Seems better after the gearbox is warmed up.
My 2015 fz09 doesn't have a quick shifter and I can upshift without clutch. I normally don't but its really not that difficult. I do it on my dirtbike too. Am I missing something?
Yep. You are missing that a quickshifter allows you to keep the throttle pinned.
Does this system also work on the MT-09 2015 edition (RN29) or is it just for the new models?
2017+
Hello, that is a really helpful video, I got one question, is it same easy to find the neutral after changing the QS?
It doesn't change a thing
Outstanding tuturial
I saw that you had loctite on the table, did you end up using that for anything?
Ordered one for my 2019 MT09 Your video is awesome Hopefully I can install it myself lol Fingers crossed
It's easy. I just did mine today. It's more tricky then it looks, hardest part is getting the blank plug off and plugging it back in, it's a tight tight fit. I honestly do not understand why the measurements need to be so exact, but I did it anyways. Let us know if you run into any issues.
Is there any difference between Testride PN BS2E81A0V000 and 2SC181A00000 which is the one sold in Europe?
I doubt it, but I don't know.
Hey man thanks for the video, I just installed it in my 09 2017 and now I cant shift and the QS doesnt work. It's hard to find the 2nd gear and I cant go to 3rd or higher, what could it be?
You have your shifter in the wrong position.
Just bough a 2019 MT-09 and came with QS standard. I was wondering if the clutch pedal level is still adjustable with the QS installed?
You mean shifter. And no
TwoWheelObsession it is adjustable, the adjuster nuts are right below the QS... did it myself he he
Does it works up and down without the clutch or only up? thanks for the info.
Up only.
I just installed this following your instructions and everything went together well. I was able to activate the QS but it does not work. Any suggestions? I’ve tried at all RPMs and speeds, when pressing up on the shifter it will not change gears.
Make sure you are not rolling off the throttle at all. If the QS light is on, it's working.
That just means you didn’t install the levers with the correct clearance.
+CaperVandaL it wasn't, but it may be caught up now.
Yeah got it in one day here in Montreal too...
Does the nut have to reversed threads to go on the reversed part of shifter rod because I had to get a new nut and can’t screw it on now
no
You'll soon get used to it and you'll be shifting unnecessarily haha. Luckily it came as standard on mine in the UK, gives a lovely pop with the Akra Carbon on up shifts without the DB :)
Already there LOL - Spent a couple hours on it today, all is well and yep - great pop!!
hey jada question installed on my 2018 mt09 and it works got the light on but have been having the issue of it not letting me down shift now with the clutch it's like it cant find the gears I ended up getting it home it was out of tolerance not buy much but still out fixed it but cant test it becuase of snow.
can the measurement effect it not being able to down shift properly it upshifted fine no issues also bike has 22 miles on it so deffently doubt anything is toasted on it.
it vibrated one if the nuts loose causing it to move a little. I put a little rtv there to just hold the nut for extra precaution
dealer is putting mine on this weekend, wondering if its a up shift and down shift as well. Ive got a 19 MT 09
Up only
Just installed today but am having trouble adjusting the height of the shifter since it has to be a certain length. Should I adjust the shifter by the splines?
+Alec Fleming with the quickshifter like I said you are limited in adjustment range.
TwoWheelObsession Thanks for getting back to me. All your FZ09 videos have helped me mod my bike a lot! Thanks! 👍
First! do you feel the fz09 is suitable for 2up riding with combined 380lbs? thanks brotha
+J Rods oh hell no
TwoWheelObsession alright man, thanks for honest answer. I can only afford one and I had a blast on it during a test ride. trust your opinion though
Get the FJ-09 for that, J Rods!
Critical Rider Thanks brotha
+Critical Rider same shock. That's way over the weight limit.
@ 19:20 Bryan realizes, that oil temperature DOES matter ;)
Personally, I would never use these QS with an cold engine,
it might be to much stress for the gearbox w/o the right lubrication.
LOL, uh, nope ;) Don't be too jealous ;)
Hahaha he responded because you curbed his ego😂😂😂
Can you downshift with this clutchless as well? Or only upshift?
Why did you go from 14mm to 9mm?
Mine shifts the same as yours appears to shift. I have no issues with that snappy feeling. I actually prefer that over a smoother one. Reminds me of back in the day buying a shift kit for my old Monte Carlo. Lol. Anyhow, I love the QS. Not sure how you paid extra for it if you got it where I did. Maybe shipping.
+Mike I didn't pay extra, this was full retail 160 plus 7 shipping. I was saying the previous listings were marked up over 200.
The Yamaha instructions are correct. You probably aren't applying enough pressure. HOLD it full up.
This thing is like having an automatic DCT tranny when accelerating.
thanks for the video made instal on my 2017 fz09 a breeze
Has anyone got a copy of original fitting instructions for the oem Quick shifter.thanks.
About that bike shaking when shifting. I highly recommend getting a steering damper. It will save your life!
+FullThrottle099 there is no steering shake and I have no need for a damper.
Quick question my friends. Do you have to activate it everytime you ride?
no
Is that a spyderco? Wich model is that?
Enjoy that FJ09.
what happens if you still press on the clutch?
youre going down Grand from NPR to holiday aren't you? cool! Just a mile from my shop.
Whats reasonable price for labor if i want the dealership to install it? Thanks.
+Johnny Xu 1 hour
Is it plug and play for a 2015 model as well?
Nope
Is there a link to buy one?
hi hi can i ask if u have try the xsr 900 and compare to fz 09 2017 model any comments on it thks
+tubbmix Tubb I already reviewed it
What would happen if your measurements are not exactly what the instructions say. I don’t see it really effecting function
It can detach from lack of thread contact.
BG gonna do some racing or at least some aggressive riding. You go BG. Staing tuned.
8.58 u said deez nutz
9.14 u said my nut here
U gained a sub
Edited:
1015: gonna loosen my nut up here
Great video and thank u for help.
Nice, great review!
Sounds pretty good to me
Love the channel
"I see them on e-bay from time to time from other dealerships. For a premium of course." What do you think your stealership was doing? Of course they were taking the ones they got in from Yamaha and posting them on e-bay for a premium instead of fulfilling your order first. Just like the stealership you bought that quickshifter from did to their customers.
08:58 DEEZ NUTS GOTTEM
Heard it too.. hahaha...
Thanks so useful
Did you need to flash your ECU for this shifter?
thanks i will look for it
Why is the OEM Yamaha QS won't work on the XSR900?
Because Yamaha didn't add the function to the ECU. You can add one of several aftermarket though - either standalone like healtech or one though your ECU flash if you have done so.
@@TwoWheelObsession XSR 900 from 2018 model year has got QS icon on display, so I hope it will work.
Sorry to bug you on an old topic, there is an EBay buyer feedback comment that claims "10/10. Repinned and installed on 2016 XSR900, flawless." on OEM QS purchase, do you know of any new hacks?
Can this be installed on a 2014 fz 09?
No
Cool might turn mine off sometime for some old school clutchless shifts.
I wonder if the traction control might be kicking in when you are in the higher rpm shifts.
