    Nicely presented, thanks. This is just about the last tool I'd need to complete centralizing all my stuff on just one battery platform.

    Awesome. Just purchased mine and was a bit confused over the depth wheel, because there are no numbers or marks. But you really cleared things up. Reading the manual before watching your vid is the perfect combo. Thanks

    Swing and a miss on the led. I'm blown away by the led lights! It's up there with zero failure performance literally. My hope the led engineering really steps up and become the best of shop talk.

    Just ordered mine! Can't wait to try it out. Figured I do enough trim work and have plenty to do around my house I bit the bullet and decided to get one instead of borrowing my dad's oldschool nailer with a compressor lol

    Taking my replaced Ryobi back tommorow, gonna gobget tge Kobalt. Kobalt Jigsaw compared to Ryobi is amazing. Feels so much better and much less vibration with more power. I am a fan

    They are doing a BOGO on this kit with two 4.0 ultimate output batteries. Very good deal. If you guys want to save money on Kobalt, this is how you do it.
    1. XTR nailer 249 get XTR bare tool free or the 2 pack ultimate output batteries.
    2. Buy the 4 PC Kobalt gen 3 kit for 249 (299 full price) and get the new gen 3 circular saw for free.
    550 for all those tools (1 and 2) added together

      No luck. My lowes has deals going on for gen 3 tools. None for the nailer

      @@YZ-LP22 I think it was taken down. On the first day of the promotion 10/17 where it's supposed to happen, I simply looked for both items: The nailer kit and the 2 pack ultimate output batteries. I had one of the guys grab the batteries from the overhead and the kit that they had on the floor, walked straight to the self checkout with the gentlemen and it checked out fine with free item at 0 dollars. Now, when I look at my order under MVP, it does not show what I bought at all. Just the total amount.

    You showed one of the nails blowing out the side of one of the boards you used for testing. I have learned that, this almost always happens when the nail gun is parallel to the wood grain. If you turn the lumber, or nail gun, whichever is easiest for you, so that the nail gun is perpendicular to the wood grain, nail blowout is extremely rare.

    Great video brother thanks. Expected this to come with box instead of bag that would be my only suggestion for kobalt and a framing nailer and table saw. Maybe asking for to much, but a man can dream right:)

    I appreciate the video. I just got one and for anyone out there considering to buy one, should probably jump on it now. Because you get a free tool with the purchase of the nail gun! I went with the XTR Sawzall but you can also get the 71/4 circular saw or a 2 pack of 4ah batteries! But yeah I decided to look up a video because when I pulled mine out of the box and I seen the bag it came with, (just like you) I thought does it even fit? And you were a little bit more optimistic than I was cuz I said heck no? LOL. Why would they supply a bag that doesn't fit the tool it comes with? And in reality spending $250 on a tool before tax you should probably get a hard case to begin with. Especially seeing how the free tool you get with the purchase of this one comes with a hard case!

    The non marring tip is not rubberized. It damages your work piece because of the recoil. I cannot recommend it for finish work

    • @jerryhicks4502
      @jerryhicks4502 2 роки тому

      Does it really. I need it for base trim but if it scars it no point in buying it then.

    • @ProxyFinal
      @ProxyFinal 2 роки тому +1

      @@jerryhicks4502 if you can find a way to change the tip, then this is very solid. I would say it’s just behind Milwaukee in terms of power if not around the same. I went back and bought the darn tool because they were giving 2 pack ultimate output batteries for free with this purchase, so I couldn’t pass it up. I will only use this nailer for rough in work or probably deck work. Out of the nailers I have tried, Kobalt is probably in the top 5 just shear power
