5t 273 motor in the snow = SKETCHY!!!

  • Forgot my camera...so had to prop my cell phone up on a stump for a quick vid. MAN it was SKETCHY out there! The slightest twist of the throttle and it was fishtail city with this 5T motor.
    Also, bike was soaked, and towards the end of my ride I noticed the light was flickering in the off position. Some water must have been bridging the connection. Hit it quickly with the heat gun back at the house and that solved that problem.

      Its a blast. I have a feeling though when that snow melts there's going to be trenches everywhere where I did all the burnouts, lol

    Hey man, absolutely love the build, will probably build a 100A 72v version soon, was just wondering how you mount your phone on top of the frame like I've seen in some other videos, top tier editing the way

      It's magnetic mount, in one of my other videos the name is in the description of all the parts.

    nice one. I've seen your previous video you explained it so well, especially the part when you teach how to recognize the motors between 3T and 5T, I'm about to build my QS205 5T bike soon, any special tips?

      Over 5k. Yeah you can see my original parts list in the description of my earlier ride videos. Sims things have changed though, like the rear wheel and such.

    Looks like fun mate. I decided to follow you with the 273 motor on an 18" wheel. I've managed to get a 100/100 Michelin Tracker tire on there, choices for 100/90 over here are somewhat limited. Can you tell me what settings you have in your display please? I can't get the speedometer to work on mine, everything else seems to work fine, just the speedometer always reads 0.0 mph.

    Hey bro did you order your bac8000. I got mine just waiting on my domino throttle. Discussing with some folks on how to do a 273 hub sink cooling mod after my basic set up is finished.Do you have a Instagram?

    • @JoshStreetDesign
      @JoshStreetDesign  3 роки тому +1

      Nah, not doing bac. Too many people I know have been having complications with it especially for the price it cost. I put myself on the nuclear 24F waiting list which will probably take like 8 months though. You don't need hub sinks on a 273 hub motor that thing never gets hot. Instagram is joshstreetdesign, but that's for my photo business. : )

      @@JoshStreetDesign I understand bro, I definitely will be needing heat sinks going be peaking out at 96volts 400 amps. This will keep the longevity of motor good. Best wishes bro will keep you updated!

    So i have found this ebike and customed it on alibaba with a seller 3200$ for 15 000w with 5t motors sabvoton 200a controllers i hope it will be ok, im really not good at mecanics or anything if i have a problem i dont know where to go

    • @JoshStreetDesign
      @JoshStreetDesign  3 роки тому

      Just so you know it's not really 15,000 Watts that's just a sales gimmick it's more like 8,000 Watts. I have done a lot of work on mine and swapped out almost all the peripherals and the motor and controller. Putting new forks on it in a few weeks as well. So if you're fine with yours completely stock as is then you shouldn't have any problems but if you're like me and you want better quality parts then you have to know what you're doing.

      Also I would only get the 5t if you're just going to be riding off-road but if you're going to be riding on the road go for the 3.5t as you'll enjoy it much more as it's a lot faster on the top end and you can get up to 60 mph

      @@tescopiwo I'm 6'2", 200lbs. You should be fine. Like I said, 5t for offroad, great acceleration up until about 30mph, 3.5t for on road, stronge acceleration from about 10-45mph, tops out at 60.
