𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: I figured out how to change the settings for QTTabBar. In the same dropdown where you enable QTTabBar (seen in the video), enable "QT Command Bar", then click the Gear icon to bring up options. You can then disable some of the annoying extra elements such as:
• Tab > 'Close Button, Icon, lock' > Disable options under "Display Tab Icon"
• Preview > Uncheck "show preview tooltip for..."
• Subfolder Menu > Uncheck "Enable Subfolder Menu"

Tabs are ok but Stardock Groupy is much more powerful
SysInternals actually isn't created by Microsoft, it was created by Mark Russinovich (It is in the main page called Home). Microsoft is just developing it now.

I've been using QTTabbar ever since this video came out and it is *extremely* useful.
Superf4 hasn't been used that much but I will sometimes run into a program that not only forces itself to the front and freezes the entire computer, but also prevents task manager (Mostly just older games). Being able to simply click on the icon and then click the screen stops whatever is going on most of the time.
I've used clover and it uses way more of your ram than q tab bar
Omg the first one is so useful. Having tabs in explorer is so useful for modding, cause I always have loads of explorer windows open and this makes it so much easier. Thank you

one thing I LOVE about QTTabBar is being able to double click inside a folder to go back one screen instead of clicking the back button or using backspace.
• Sysinternals wasn't created by Microsoft, it was created by Winternals, which Microsoft acquired (and Mark Russinovich became a Microsoft employee-but his partner Bryce Cogswell did not). Sysinternals was subsumed into Microsoft but the tools kept the Sysinternals branding.
• SuperF4 is as limited as the Task Manager; some processes are unkillable due to various reasons. :-\
You can kill any process if you brute force unlock and delete its executable. As long as you have a copy of the file for when you want it to run, you can keep on doing this with a batch file. Iobit Unlocker is my go-to tool.

Tbh, "everything" really acts like Malware IMO
Super f4 sounds pretty cool. There's also a command in Windows to kill tasks that can be run from command prompt or just the run box even : taskkill. It's pretty useful but of course if something is compeltely flogging your resources you might not be able to use any kind of shell to get it to run.
Well there's always task manager which will free up resources to run

The answer is that ever since I pinned it on my taskbar, it enabled "Always on top" without asking me.

Throttlestop is pretty cool for those who want to undervolt and overclock their CPU on Windows without going into their bios menu. Takes a bit of trial and error to tweak everything to your desired needs, but the results are pretty sweet and those cooler CPU temps do not disappoint.

For MSI afterburner you can also add rava Tuner it shows osd of various stats (user selected) from temps to clockspeeds and fps. Very customizable too.

Used Gog Galaxy 2 for months. Recently switched to Playnite, which is way better imo. Less buggy and the interface is more customizable while I didn't liked gog2's design that much
about QTTabbar there's a feature you haven't talked about if you put your mouse on a video or image it'll zoom the image and it'll zoom and play the video that was so useful for me
Can't remove QTTabbar, the uninstaller doesn't work and even after "removing it" with REVO the application is still there. ☹️
After installing it again I was able to uninstall it without the error message and it's not visible anymore, but I am still investigating, because my computer is still funny (speaker icon doesn't work) but it's MUCH more responsive to do basic things like opening "settings" by right clicking the start button, for example. They implement those improvements by changing something on a few DLLs and I guess that's not working well with the latest Windows Insider, at least. It's a great idea but something that should be implemented properly by Microsoft.

I noticed that the Recycle Bin doesn't really empty when you delete the items. Is there a way to actually delete everything, especially photos? Was just wondering.
First of all, QT Tab Bar didn't save the contents of the tabs when I switch between them like a web browser would, which meant that my computer had to reload all of the contents of a folder, which is not idea for HDDs, especially big ones. I'd rather just have multiple windows open. Second, I could not find the option to disable the preview, at least on my version, which I found to be very obnoxious and tanked my computer. Third, I got the error "install server not responding" every time I tried to uninstall it, and I had to delete its folder directly and run DISM and sfc to get rid of the preview.

Qttwebbar doesn't seem to have a dark option. Sense I use dark mode on win 10 my file browser is dark so the white of the tab bar sticks out like a sore thumb

Help, I only have the tabs enabled, but the program also moved the panel with shortcuts for cut, copy, paste, delete that's under the folder location bar from the right to the left side, making them useless for me, I can't figure how to change that in the program settings.
Also that SuperF4 would've save myself a lot of time to get games to close when the computer isn't responding.

Actually some programs that would make my life easier.
MSI Afterburner in my experience is a must for nVidia GPUs, specifically to set the desired fan profile. Just don't run nVidia GPUs under load without making sure to have the proper fan profile applied. MSI AB does it magnificently.
PS: my case scenario is running 2 or 3 GPUs (RTX2020Ti to GTX1080) under full compute/rendering load for hours per day, over several years, but even in lighter scenarios such as gaming I strongly suggest to make sure cooling is effective.
Another useful program: FreeFileSync, lets you compare different folders and even drives so that you know whether your backup is up to date for example

QTTabBar was an instant download, you didn't even had to finish your pitch. Needed some messing about, but with the update and some tweaking it looks clean in dark mode. The subfolder icon can be disabled in the options.
Try Xyplorer. Been using it for years. It has had tabbed browsing, as well as a lot more, forever. I haven't used Explorer for a long time now.
Handbrake is probably the best program I’ve downloaded in recent years if you’re into video editing and what not!
Anybody know how to make qttab stop losing my place in the folder when I switch between tabs? Like when I'm moving files from lower down the folder, when I move it to its new folder and come back to the previous one, I'm back at the top of the folder.

Hi, i could need Help i have a Filder that Cant geht Deleted! Im on Windows 10, These 5 folders are showed me by Explorer If i want to Move Them to another Folder i cant also i cant delete and If i delete when creating New Folder (Same Name) then its coming Back. I already checked onedrive If they have Backup but No they Font and i cant find any Videos in UA-cam. And These Files arent even in my Computer anywhere.

Hey ThioJoe, QTTabbar seems like an awesome program BUT breaks my double click to open things and I can't get an answer on this anywhere!? If I have it installed and I double click a folder in a window nothing happens, or it'll try renaming the folder. How do I restore the double click? I don't want to open everything in tabs or browse the contents only through the arrow on the side. Very frustrating. Currently uninstalled because can't use windows like that.

Same, my McAfee is acting up too, and for some reason I am unable to uninstall it as well. Looks useful but seems shady from a shady insecure website and and unsigned program which doesn't even uninstall due to some windows installer error. I legit freaked and system restored to a previous version when I could not find no way to get rid of it.

Unfortunately, Qttab isn't working. It's only giving me the option(s) for the command bar. After installing v1038, v1040 is not recognizing that I have it installed.
