One Day Build Challenge! - No 3D Printing allowed

- In this week's video I tried for the first time a One-Day-Build! It was super challenging and much harder than I was expecting, but not for the reasons I thought!
Also, in this project I didn't use any 3D printed piece to save some time, so I was back to the good old junkbashing days. Please leave me a comment if you wanna see more content like this, subscribe and if you wanna go one step further helping this channel, consider beccoming a member, here on youtube! - Навчання та стиль
One day challenges are great, they take you out of your comfort zone and that's where some of the best new ideas come from.
Building with greeblies and plain styrene is the most honest in my opinion. With 3D Printing you can make any shape so you can print the whole model in one run.
3D printing/modeling is not easy, but I see your point ;D
Very promising title and pic!!!
Really nice cargo ship 😃👍
Thank you :)
i think it turned out great for a one day build. Definitely like to see more of these!
Thank you!
This was fantastic to watch!!
No, you keep on doing your normal builds but you should do one of these at least once every two months.
You picked a great scale, for a well loved subject. That paint work was well executed, to reveal an amazing result.
I definitely want to see your skills exercised in these one day builds more! ❤
It would be neat to see a continued series of these larger ships (in universe) at this smaller scale; I'd love to see some capital ships someday
I love these little ships. It would be cool to see a whole fleet of different types of ships on this same scale, that look like part of a consistent world. There is another channel where a guy makes models from a fantasy old west setting he created, and he makes up little stories about them he reads to you as you watch him paint them. World-building is so fun :)
Boylei Hobby Time!!!!
Started with the parting out if the printer and I know how to find grizzlies, but not everyone knows where or what to look for. This is an example of what can be built in with these parts. I love it brother!!
I really enjoyed watching the process of building something this under time constraints.
So many great details and textures. Having a simple yet familiar paint scheme was a great choice, too. I hope you consider doing more of these in the future, CTG.
Thanks :DD
So awesome!! Love the one day build idea! Looking forward to more in the future
slayed 6 months build then slayed again in 1 day; you are king of the game!!!
Thank you so much!!
Really cool, I'd definitely like to see another one day build some time!
So cool. Saving junk from landfill building funky spaceships since 2018...and looking kinda sexy doing it!
I really loved it.
It's the first of your creation that I considered at my reach. These quick small scale models could be a good entry point for a newcomer like me!
Thank you ;D
A one day robot challenge would be cool too. Love your work.
Robots are harder, way harder! but who knows, maybe someday :D thanks
This is so great. I asked you a few weeks ago and you actually did it. Thank you so very much 🙏😃❤️
I really love how this turned out. I love the ideas of one day challenges with certain restrictions to promote creativity. I also really enjoyed seeing you build on a different scale than usual. I personally really love 1/100 and 1/144, it’s a much different approach to building on bigger scales like 1/16 or 1/22. Very cool what elements you were able to represent that would’ve been way less feasible at a bigger scale.
A weathering technique I really like to use that might’ve been helpful here is loosely applying a lot of graphite powder with a sponge brush. You can use coarser or finer powder depending on what effect you want. It gets a similar effect to panel lining and shading if you apply by patting and then tap/dust/blow off the excess. You have to use way less than you think though. 😂
Thank you!
I've always wondered what you do with all your builds when finished. Pictures of your entire collection would be awesome
Put them into sturdy wooden boxes for protection :D
Yes more of these videos please
SWEEEEEET! The real trick is having the right greeblies. It would be GREAT if you 3D printed parts for kits of these builds you create for purchasing. I'd be throwing my money at you. 😂
Love it. Do more of these please. They are great
For a future project like this, I'd look for a cheap Tamiya 1:700 scale WW2 warship kit, especially the battleships and other large ship kits. They have a HUGE number of tiny detail parts like AA guns and life rafts that is useful for building tiny models.
The final result was incredible! Really love it! 😆
Thank you so much :)
This quick build come out great. I am amazed you got this done in one day.
Thank you so much!
Absolutely like this scale.
I love this, great use of materials!
Would love to see a larger more thought out/detailed version of this in the future.
Turned out fabulous! I think this is a great series to work on and would love to see more videos in the same style. Like you said, one day builds are a great way to sketch and experiment with ideas that can inform your larger builds in the future.
Thank you so much!
I like the idea of small one day challenge! i just equip myself with an airbrush and rearrange my workbench in order to make mech and spaceship like you do and those small challenge are excellent small step to follow to start and make cool builds! but I have 2 questions:
1- what is your primer for larger build?
2- what is a good level of "junk" do we need to have and what kind of variety of object do we need to have to start junkbashing ?
Though I definitely enjoy the process of your larger and longer builds, this was a fun video to watch. - Rick, USMC
Thank you!
Mopre of this, man, it came out amazing!
Thank you!
Love these kinds of builds. I've been collecting all kinds of plastic bits and pieces to try doing something like this and don't really have access to a 3d printer so this is perfect.I'd love to see you take a model kit and re-imagine it into something else.
Great! Thanks buddy
No 3D printing 1 week humanoid robot. Let's gooooo!
More of these please!
This worked out very well for you!
Love the quick little build in between your epic large builds 😊
Thank you :D
@@CutTransformGlue you are welcome 🤗
Very nice. I like it. Good job.
Very impressive for one day's work, it looks really cool!
Thank you!
That was pretty neat. Good work!
Thank you!
it's so awesome.let's make another 1 day challenge.
Great job as usual!😊
thanks :)
Fantastic, super little model, I just really love watching you create the vehicles in your sci fi universe, I don't mind short one day fun builds but your in depth long form videos are what I look forward to, thank you for sharing your amazing imagination and talent, take care.
Thank you!
Great build! Thanks! :D
Thanks for watching!
Great job
Thank you!
Yeah man. This was cool.
Love your usual stuff, but this fits nicely to.
As for building lore around these in sure that would be cool to. But, only if you love it or have legit been wanting to add that.
I'm half with the content I've been getting.
thank you!
This is groovy, can you make the tiny little ships that it carries in its holds?
Very Nice Work
thank you!
Nice build!
thanks :)
nice job!
Thanks :)
I love you ctg!!!
mano continua fazendo projeto menor sim kkkk é legal de assistir e voce se diverte fazendo também, abraço
Valeu mano, abraço!!
tbh, I like the smaller ship of the two better 🙂
Interesting!
Trash build are so, SO much more interesting than 3d pronter builds.
nice :3
Love this style of video as well. There's not a format you don't do well
Thank you so much!
All my projects have to be 1 to 3 days. Otherwise, my brain loses interest 😄, but really cool man, gotta work on some ideas for a collab
Oh I really am the opposite! 2 to 3 month projects are the ideal to me, but I'm really having fun with these smaller ones!
more!
What primer do you use? Does it work with every kind of plastic?
I use a local brand general purpose primer, nothing too fancy!
How do you clean your models? They seems quite complicated, with a lot of nooks for the dust to settle in.
I try to keep them away from dust, inside boxes. But when I do it, I use soft brushes :)
Bro can u teach how to make Diy Gun for Robot war or tanks no printing?
I wasn't getting the point of the channel.
So you take that damn plastic shit, and you turn it by putting it together, into a work of art. Now i'm ok ;)
In this way you create beauty, and recycle the plastic that would pollute the planet.
I would say that perhaps it is time to abandon 3D printing and make things with recycled plastic.
