Buko Man

Today was the first day of a new traffic scheme for Philippine Science High School. I think it went very well and the school were well prepared for it. There were a couple of people who insisted on unloading in front of the school, causing a queue of vehicles to grow behind them. But most people were cooperative and I think it's going to help with congestion in the area.
We also came across a Buko vendor whose cart was in the road, potentially adding to traffic and congestion. Unfortunately there were people across the road who were trying to stir up trouble. That kind of thing could be deadly considering the tools carried by people handling coconuts.
I respect a man trying to earn a living, but it comes at a cost to the general public. If they block the sidewalk, pedestrians walk in the road. That leads to accidents, injuries and traffic. If they block the road, that obviously adds to traffic and also puts them at risk of being hit by a car.
Later we came across a PWD parking area which was occupied by motorcycles and we also saw some obstructions affecting the PWD ramps.
After that, we were traveling to another area when we noticed some tow trucks parked by the side of the road. They had towed a stalled vehicle but they didn't have any reference number from the MMDA Metrobase.
When an MMDA accredited tow truck is going to pickup a vehicle, they should have a reference number from the MMDA Metrobase. This allows the MMDA to make sure the vehicle actually makes it to the impound and that it's not just an excuse to start a "negotiation" on the side of the road.

Seems reasonable to me that they would remove the drive shaft on a rear wheel drive truck with an automatic transmission.
